  These are my impressions after getting to play two relatively short sessions. I did a lot of harvesting and exploring. I tamed a horse. I fought some monsters. I did a little bit of crafting. This is running really well on my laptop so far. Graphics and UI Graphics are looking great. I am not normally a gamer that plays isometric view style games, but I was intrigued with the graphics and the premise of the game. I have enjoyed all the different flora and scenery so far. The water is also looking really good. The UI was simple but I liked that. I would like to see tooltips on stats on the character sheet in the future so I can understand better what each stat influences for my character without having to go somewhere else to look it up. I like the talent tree and I am looking forward to seeing what more of the options are that are not in the game yet and how they will influence my character. I would have liked to see WASD for movement instead of click but I know that seems to be a normal feature of the isometric style games. I also would feel better with the hot keys being 123456, etc. I don't know what you are planning for user customization of the UI but hopefully we will have the ability to assign keys to fit more of what we are used to. Overall though, this feels decent for an Alpha version of both graphics and UI. Animations The running animation for the character right now reminds me of me trying to run and that isn't pretty. It needs to be more upright or something. Since this is Alpha, I will assume that is being worked on with final polish later. The horse animation isn't bad. It reminds me of realistic horse movement (at least as much as it can at the downward angle). The monster animations didn't bother me so they did not stick out as strange or bad. Harvesting and Crafting These areas are both enjoyable so far. I am someone who has to stop for every harvestable plant so it was rough with only stacks of 10 for an item. I would suggest upping that stack size unless there is a reason to keep it small. It took a really long time to get back to a town, even with a horse, so I found most of my time was running back and forth with full inventory and I felt like I didn't accomplish a lot in my play sessions. I did find the variety of things to harvest was great though! I like the tooltips for the items and found them very informative. Crafting was good as well. Some of it I had trouble figuring out what menu or tab to look at in the beginning or what type of station I needed to be at. Hopefully that will be more clear once you get closer to release. Once I got the hang of how things were laid out, it helped. Combat and Skill Trees These I haven't messed with enough to comment too much yet. I do love that you have to go out and kill certain monsters to find new skills. I think that is a really great feature! More to come when I get more time to mess with both of these areas.

  The selection area for trees is the whole tree which obscures the area behind the tree, needs to be the trunk only. The world map marker needs to be more visible, can't find it easily.

  Well, i never tested it, if it works, maybe i should. If i check the "Allow Corpse Loot" at Guild or Party the item is green. But after a while it turns white again. Is this intended and does it anything yet in actual game state?

  Game shouldn't force people into anything. Game should simply offer content of different difficulty, and danger setting, and then people will naturally flock to being organised to embark into that specific content. Full loot PvP zones will naturally incentivize people to organize to protect themselves. Sieges will not be possible if solo player comes and attacks the city. Well I guess he could, but that will not end up too well for him. xD Various other content in Fractured MMO will be extremely hard, or outright impossible for solo player, to do alone. So I see no problem here. Fractured is looking good so far.

  its hard to understand some stuff since nothing is explained. I learned most of it by asking in global. There are question marks on the mark. Those can be cities (unclaimed or claimed), city resource nodes and fertile grounds or combat hotspots. The latest have monsters, that you should visit, since they will give you knowledge points and unlock new skills for you. Crafting better gear from what i discovered can be done on particular buildings in player owned cities. Some of them require resources that need refining and need time to get refined. Asking around is the easiest way to get answers to what you are looking for.

  Quite sure that any open world resource nodes will be farmed mostly by citizens and highly contested in areas that PvP is allowed.

  If you are a merchant and on the other side of the world ores 50 gold coins cheaper, 300 gold is nothing. Usually traders only travel the cities on horseback and build a cart if necessary and then buy the goods. And you have to keep in mind that port cities have to generate so much revenue that they can compensate for an ore mine because they have no other resources.

  I just want to add shortly something about Permissions, because the rest @GamerSeuss already said well. We figured, at the moment the only way to make a guild only storage is to use the personal plots for that. The Permissions are actually a bit bugged, because at the moment exactly the "guild" permission doesn't work for your personal plot stuff. But you can invite all people to your plot, means adding people as a friend to your plot, because the Permission for "friends" works well. What also works is to invite all people to a party and just set the chests to "party" permission, no need for inviting to the plot. That will surely get fixed in future tests.

  All in all I'm very impressed with this being an alpha. However, I do agree that it will come down to some QoL fixes, bug squashing, and how they implement the remaining stuff. But I'm having fun even at this stage, so I'm excited to see what is yet to come.

  @Blectorn I am very up for your suggestions and i would add more Ceckbox to hide the helmet Well helmets you can unequip, so not really a big need for RP. But hiding Nameplates would be very useful. Option to sit down at the campfire In one of the first gameplay videos i saw a character sitting in front of the Taverns Fireplace. So i am expecting much such animations to use. I would like to have Slow Walk, Sitting on Ground, Sitting on Chairs/Tables, Laying down on ground independent of (camp)fireplaces, Laying into beds... to be continued. First emotes like /greet Emotes would be fine: Waving, Pointing, Ranting... etc. Toggle combat mode off With that i have mixed feelings in full PVP games. But i would be up for PVP free zones in Towns. Per example the tavern should be a PVP free zone. Local Chat shown over the characters Oh yeah, the Chat. Thats an entire own topic. I wish we would get configurable chat tabs. And i even would be up for Chatbubbles over heads for local chat. Local yelling Chat, with same radius as we have now and a local normal speaking chat, that has just a radius to cover a house. Whisper not to forget. More points to add for RP: Usable Taverns for Roleplay driven Taverns with Shelfs that shows the filled food/drinks with visible plates & glasses on Tables, after your delivered the ordered food to them with a "music box", where you can choose a special music theme for the tavern Decorative stuff for Houses: Trophys on Walls and Ground Decorative stuff for outside: Streetlamps, Stoneformations, plantable Bushes&Flowers... Bards Dances ... Most stuff we should not expect before Beta for sure. But in several screenshots by Devs is to see, that some of that stuff is already planned, like the Trophy Decorations. But it would make the whole gaming experience more deep, if we would get such atmospheric features.

  @seymonty Nope. I think you hit it head on. I saw that early on when they put out the nodes on the map which is why we took only southern cities. In fact, with almost every test up to date, it has been better to live mostly in the middle or the south and not the north as all major content (with the exception of the goblin hills) has been in the middle-southern reaches.

" The problem about that is that there really is no set worth for reagents, however we will be coming out with a public barter system soon that should help different cities showcase what they have to sell. "If I knew about it I guess." And yeah... the hardest problem (even for the devs) is getting information out there to all the new people playing since most of them don't seem to want to do a search for what they are wanting before posting about it and therefore they play for a long time without even knowing the tools that they have on hand or even how to do in-game stuff. We will see what we can do to help out with that. Also for just a heads up... there is a City Planner at http://theshadowempire.net/public_CityPlanner.php that is still in WIP mode and a public Map will be available shortly....including the Barter System for the towns....we also have a Book of Knowledge, though that is still up in arms if we need to make it public since there is the Wiki.

  I don't see why the resources for Unclaimed Towns can't be harvested by anyone, and only assigned to that town once it has a Governor and occupants.

  @Mudz Having Concussive strikes use a category of weapon wont change much, to anything; The base of the problem is the pure damage, dot that can stack infinity and is bugged currently allowing pure dmg to just straight up ignore saving throws or blocks when it applys. IE you block concussive strike with shield block. pure damage still applies.

  I think the final tally is......... (drum roll).... the current method for distributing KP of killed Mobs just totally blows/sucks/reeks/stinks/(add explanative here) and must be changed.

  I can’t say I agree with any of these desires... makes it sound like a cookie cutter app game and there are tons you can download today. By all accounts, the game is intended this way and you get used to the functionality. I see it as a unique charm the game has over others. Quest arrows? Really?

  Crafting to me is one of the major aspects of any rpg. Just like pvm, pvp and exploring. All of the major aspects should have knowledge you can gain. To me knowledge is the achievements you earn in this game.

  That's a funny idea! As far as I recall there is going to be a patch introducing the option to check the price of goods in different markets globally though in this Alpha. I'm not sure how much the developers would be willing to fiddle with that afterwards.
