    • New Order in Beta: "FarFarAway"

      Since i can be governor of a town, i will create a Town in Release, it will be the Town of New Order. The name Atrium we probably keep for that.
      In the Test Phases i want to test the whole concept of it. (As long it is implemented to do so)


      In Beta we started a town with the name FarFarAway on Myr with our friends of The Moonshadow Dryads, Crownless Order, KAOS, Tasty Swords, LooT, Legion Sombria.

      In Fall-Alpha 2021 "Atrium" returns to its original place (first town test).

      Spring Alpha Town will be Valhalla Atrium
      Special thanks to the Gaming Communities of Crownless Order (international) and Phoenix (german)
      For joining the town, there is no password requirement anymore.

      Fall Alpha Town will be "Atrium Harbour".


      How big will be the town at the end?

      I am aiming a big town spot to settle in.
      Everyone is welcome to ask for an citizen place in town.

      What is „New Order“?

      The sense of New Order is chaotic!
      The System of Chaos Theory is the base of it.
      There is just one rule!
      If you do something, it will have consequences!
      Decide by yourself for best sake, but always be prepared about it‘s results!

      Which path we follow is up to you! But be careful, the next to you may counter YOUR opinion!

      For release i‘m not decided yet, if it will be a pure guild town.
      I decide way later about it.

      I will choose wisely while Alpha and Beta, who can join the guild "New Order".
      In this case i'm strict, people need to fit into that society, if they want to join.

    • RE: Open Alpha 2 Weekend & Test Extension

      I wonder about some people who go upset, because they stepped into an free Alpha access, that unfortunately had to stop because of serious server problems.
      Thats why they made the Stresstest.
      People have to expect that such things can happen.

      It is a very bad attitude to be rude in this case.
      @Arheyn and @tomelectric maybe it is better you calm down a bit and think about what it means to be in an Alpha Phase of a Game.

      Dynamight did the right decision to pause the free test, because the server was going crazy and much things did not worked for this reason.

      They also want to repeat the test as soon as possible.
      That means, there is absolutely no cause to rant.

      Thanks all gods, that the majority of the community is patient and wishes the Dynamights much luck to solve the problem.
      We are looking forward to the next test.

      Prolog:
      Da wir nun immer mehr News bekommen werden, und hoffentlich auch einige deutschsprachige mehr, dachte ich mir, dass es sinnvoll ist ein kleines Inhaltsverzeichnis für unsere Übersetzungen zu schreiben.

      Es gibt ein offizielles Fractured-Wiki auf Gamepedia, welches von @kellewic ins Leben gerufen wurde und vorwiegend administriert wird.
      Jeder kann das Wiki editieren und neu entdeckte Dinge eintragen.

      Wir wollen hier natürlich auch deutsche Übersetzungen anbieten.
      @RogueThorn kümmert sich daher um die Koordination und Hilfestellungen bei den Übersetzungen.

    • [QoL Suggestion] Packing Station Storage accessiblity with just one click

      Since the Packing Station Storage is quite big and the Wagon can hold up to 30 items, it is at the moment a real pain to move sacks from station to the wagon.

      You need 5 clicks at the moment for picking up each sack and droping it to the wagon.

      I suggest to make the Station Storage clickable like the Storage in the Carpenter Shop.

    • [A2.1.3 Feedback] Summary and random thoughts about a lovely Alpha

      Just to say, my Curve of Excitement is still raising 😉
      So most things i said for A2-1 is still a thing.

      For the actual test i want to add some things i was encounting the few days we could play.

      Some issues at Building:

      • Sleep position at Fire place. You need to position yourself or use Cooking first to go to a position that is valid for resting. Chosing Resting first don't trigger a path to the Fireplace. But i noticed, the Fireplace got the right collision control now. Well done guys. 👍

      • I got no move option on structures in houses. Some even just with a destroy option (Simple Bed, Bench).
        Same happened on one Chest -> see next point:

      • A Leather Chest got not accessible (not clickable) when built outside. A relog did not help, but a day later, after login it is at least destroyable.
        Maybe because it is not supposed to be builded outside?
        After todays Patch i got accessibility, but no move option.

      • In this phase we just had 3 Spawnpoints and the housing spots was fast taken and much people had to run very far away to get a free spot.
        I think that was a bit annoying for some people, since they need a plot to test all the nice stuff, like enchanting.
        Spawnpoints of new player would be surely helpful to be dynamically, based on the still taken spots.
        But Prometheus already said, they will change that system a bit next test. I am curious how it will work, if there is no need to get fast an own house, because you will have a public Startertown to use.

      • If you want to build your structure in your favourite place, you just got 3 view of them. There is one rotation of a blueprint missing.

      Creature related problems and ideas

      • For first we have some weird spawner behaviour. There are more creatures spawning as it is supposed to be. I got some spawner next to my house that had two animals instead of just one as it was at the first day. Someone could even reproduce the spawnbug.

      • Loot Permissions are a new thing, compared to the last test in A2.1.1 and .2.
        Sometimes the permission for Loot and even the KP and Knowledge Unlock for them don't trigger, even you made definetivly damage to the Creature.
        Don't know if it is the test for grouping up feature and intended, but it feels right now a bit random if you get KP or not. It does not matter if you got the first hit, it still can be you are not valid for that kill.

      • Casting line of sight is a big thing for the fights. You can't get an Attack Symbol to make skills valid to perform them.
        If you have people in front, you technically can't see the target, so it is kind of realistic. But it will be frustrating, since you will not be able to tell your group not to stay in front of the Creature, so that all are able to click it.

      • There is a need for a detailled Aggro System. For now you can easily reset Creatures, what makes fighting abusing possible, because animals not even regenerate that much, but you can shoot them, go out of range, follow them, when they run back and rince repeat.
        Also fights in Groups are also easy this way, since you can't take over Aggro, the one who have it just can kite them the whole time, as long you are not strong enough to tank them.
        I would like to see in future Aggro Management. If i overheal, i get Aggro, if i get out the hot Boom-Skills as a firemage, i get the aggro, or if i am a good tank, i can attract all these creatures to leave my supporter alone.

      Some QoL related things

      • Chat Auto Scrolling is very annoying, if the chat scrolls out fast and you try to read something somebody answered to you or had a question. Please insert a function, where you can deactivate the Autoscroll and add instead a "Show newest/to Bottom" Button.

      • For finding someones Claim, it would be nice to see the Claim Owner.

      • For now we have to drag&drop all items between the different inventories (Character Inventory, Chests, Crafting Stations, Loot), it would be nice to have later on a Shift Click for moving Items between inventories.

      • Also stack dividing would be nice, to be able just to take a part of a material. I saw some games, where you took a stack to your mouse and place with each right click a single piece of the stack to the new inventory space. I would like to see this kind of stack dividing here. 🙂

      • Walls hide some of their parts, when you are inside, to be able to see all structures in a house. But the walls are still there and the mouse position don't perform any action for things thats behind. Would be nice if the client interpret a hidden house wall as non existent for the mouse check, so that structures behind become clickable. Since we can't turn the camera, it is sometimes hard to get them.

      • There we come to an old question about changing camera view. I know, you said, it will not be possible. But all your structures are 3D, so i would be glad if you probably will think about to implement camera turning on 4 positions like 90° each turn.
        That would make it way better for fighting behind big structures and also solve the problem with targetting Enemies.

      • Arcanist have no shoes till first Leather is made. Should have some simple cloth/wooden shoes for the Starter Outfit. Give us shoes from start! 🙏 😄

      • The things that are pointed out by Einhar are quite interesting and i had them on my list too. Its mostly about Repairing, Variety and a Dev Timeline. Answered there my concerns to this topics.

      • There is just one missing sound left. Hitting a Stone Boulder with a Hammer does not make a sound.

      Some things i love

      • Rapids at River! Just ❤ it, when i saw it first time!
      • The graphical update made the area looking more plastic, more contrast, more living. Not sure how to describe, but i like it 🙂
      • Sound Implementation already gets me every time. Please never change this sound that comes from the side where the sounds happens. I like that very much.
      • I was stepping in a bit into Enchanting and i really like this kind of crafting. You are able to combine and also to satisfy your collectors heart. It gives much divertisity to the Crafting.
      • Also at this "just using different materials on same receipe" for a craft to make better Equipment. Just love this. We don't need tousands of receipes, we just need knowledge on which materials we can do specific kind of weapon/clothes. I know how to make a shoe, but i can make a better shoe with other materials that i have to discover first. Just sugar, keep this crafting system, thats a good one.

      Some things i wish to see
      I saw the Knowledge System for Skills and Creatures.
      I would like to see Knowlegde and unlocking Receipes for the other stuff we discover, like cooking receipes for Plants. Or Maybe for the Housing stuff too.
      Like collecting much Potatoes to learn how to make Potato Chips.
      Are there plans for to have this kind of Knowledge too?

      Surely i wish much more things, but before coming out for my personal wishes, i really want to see, how you get your idea of the game to a real working one.
      So my wishes will be small, as long i see you are on the line on your great vision.
      crosses always my fingers for you to be able to let your vision comes true!
      You are on a very good way.
      We got a very nice Alpha and it makes hungry for more 🙂

      Willkommen bei Fractured!

      Eure ersten Schritte habt ihr sicherlich schon dadurch getan, dass ihr hier gelandet seid.
      Vielleicht wurdet ihr durch einen Freund aufmerksam oder durch eine Erwähnung irgendwo im weltweiten Getummel an Links.
      Auf jeden Fall hat euch Fractured irgendwie interessiert.
      Uns auch! 😉

      Sicherlich habt ihr viele Fragen und sicherlich brennt es euch auf der Seele, die vielen Dinge, die euch durch den Kopf schwirren, beantwortet zu bekommen.
      Aber haltet kurz inne, schaut euch in Ruhe um, was es alles schon gibt.

      Da wären zunächst einmal die generellen News, welche auch die einzelnen Spotlights enthalten. Informationen ganz von offizieller Seite.
      Diese beinhalten themenbezogen einige Informationen über das Konzept von Dynamight.

      Nachdem ihr also so eure ersten Fragen direkt beantwortet bekommen habt, sind sicherlich immer noch tausende offen. Das ist eurer Schritt hier im Forum zu fragen oder eurer Ideen loszuwerden, oder aber auch nur, um uns Hallo zu sagen.
      Denkt immer daran, die Foren-Regeln einzuhalten, es ist nicht nur zu unser Vorteil, sondern du gewinnst genauso dabei. 😉

      Es werden immer neue Fragen aufkommen und neue Dinge enthüllt werden.
      Folgend werde ich versuchen, eine Liste an neuen Dingen aktuell zu halten, ohne die Übersichtlichkeit zu sehr durcheinander zu bringen.
      Manche Dinge würde ich gerne für diejenigen unter euch, die sich mit dem Englischen schwer tun, übersetzen, aber es ist sehr viel und sicher finden sich neben mir und @Lohen noch weitere Mitstreiter. 🙂

    • [Urgent QoL Suggestion] Chat Feature "Stop Scrolling" (+ add mute)

      I really like it to answer questions in General Chat, but from test to test it is getting harder to follow the chat or even able to read questions that are scrolled out.
      Especially at the first day of an open test and also actual, where some people think they need to spam the chat with self-admirations and harrassment to other players.

      If you try to read a question, thats scolled out, you can scroll the chat to find it, but every time someone is typing again, the chat scrolls automatically back to the last message. Sometimes it is very very annoying to scroll again and again, just to be able to read the full question (or answer).

      Please add a possibility to turn off the automatical scrolling.

      We will also need a possibility to mute players.
      Also yesterday i experienced, when i asked a guy to write his PVP stuff in the Local chat, that i just got the answer like "No i don't do that, just mute me." - Yeah, if we just would be able to mute 😞
      Some player don't want to stop their trolling or even harrassing, i guess it is better for all of us, if we are not relied on Moderation to stop them, but can "stop" them at least for ourself.

      I know it will not be a feature for now, but hopefully something we can get before the next Open Test. 🙏

      On the Tavern town building has some texture problems.
      The bar tables of the tavern don't have all wood but some stone texture:

      Same Problem, the login seems not to work properly.
      After some reloads at least the forum shows me, that I am logged in.

      Edit: Be aware, I wrote following before I noticed, I am still not logged into the website itself, but the forum. So it might be already visible somewhere. I may sound grumpy. 😉

      Where can I find the old informations about the Foundation stuff or is this cutted out entirely?
      Where are the list of our bought packages, the Foundation Points, Rewards, people who joined in reason of your referal link? Are all these informations lost?
      I can't see any of this informations here on the website now, nor I have any reference to see it at the Glyphstore. More than that, I always see in the Glyph Shop, that I can buy the packages there, that are literally already included in my higher pack? Whats about the stuff I already bought here ages ago? All the Foundation, Shop, Kickstarter stuff?

      How anyone can proof their already payed stuff, if here is no single reference to it anymore? (like the list in screenshot below)

      I would be glad to get any confirmation, if any of our stuff from the past is still valid and we get them shown up again or if it just got silently droped.

      Edit: I know the text from the support page, as @OlivePit linked it. But I am expecting some more informations about this, if you change stuff, a hint on that from official staff would be nice, to know if we have all these informations back soon.

      Actual you encountered that?
      I remember from last test we had 3 blacksmiths, but not sure, if there was such a problem.
      Do I understand it right, that you removed a building that had chests and full forges?
      Would it not be right to lose the content of the building too?

      I am agreeing with all the concerns and suggestions @OlivePit made.

      Beside this I want to add some concerns and problems of town management from my side, that I was stating in the past more than once:

      1. Account vs. Playernames
      • If a (Vice)-Governor always just see account names, we need to make a complicated offline list about every citizen account + playernames relation and we never know which newly created character is related to any of the accounts on our list, since they are automatically town citizen account wide.
        Even if you spot a player doing bad stuff to your town, which one you will kick out? Just purging whole citizen? And for this reason making intown houseplots unusable forever, since they didn't get freed?
        And what you have won, if you reinvite everyone, you simply don't know who the guy was. Just staying on your 10 closest friends for Citizenship, to be able to get the needed Prestige for Rank 15... oh wait, it was 15, since public buildings don't count anymore if double builded.
        I am suggesting in this case, make all related Playernames visible on the Townlist, at least for (Vice)-Governors.

      • Give us the possibility to see, when a player was last time online.
        Since we don't have any possibility to manage player of our town correctly, it would help much to be able to see, who is active and who not.
      1. Ingame town communication
      • Yes I know, we can use third party chat programs to get connected.
        But for all the Residents that I most likely never met nor know who is Resident, since there is no single hint of ownership of that houses outside of the town, I am not able to give these People any order or information about the town, except with limited townhall description.
        Some kind of townboard or town chat would be nice, where all Citizen and Residents are in.
        It would make it way easier to govern a town in a good way. To leave some informations for everyone who is related to that town. Also it would be easier to make them clear, what is needed to get the town to the desired rank and stay there.
      1. visible Tech-Tree
        Make the Tech-Tree visible, means readable for Citizen, Residents or even Public.
        I not even understand, why it is just visible for Governors at all.

    • Heavy materials from Wagon vanish as soon you take them from Wagon, stucking in animation too (after todays patch)

      If i take Wood from Wagon, it takes the wood out, I get the holding animation, but no wood in hands.
      The Blueprint also tells me, i don't have the material, but it is taken from Wagon.

      The Animation I just can remove, if I am relogging. The bug stays constistend and is repeatable.

      Player Animations

      Player characters holding a mage staff no longer move like they have a mage staff up their derrière.
      Player characters now also play a proper animation when being knocked out and standing back up.

      But now it looks like as if the mages have something with their backs, if they standing still.
      Also THESE Hand! 😱
      It looks like as if Mages have gout! 🤕

      But to be fair, the running animation looks ages better than before. 😘

      Praise our new (and first) animator!

      I will 🙌 , if we get walk animations, that we can use, when we are in town and don't want to look like we are going to fist fight anyone anytime 😉

    • RE: [Prestige] Towns prestige is stucking, decaying and counting wrong

      While FarFarAway already suffered decaying of Prestige, from over 1800 the one evening where we ranked up to Rank 11 to the next evening to 1725 again, now after the patch the prestige is droped even more and we not even would have enough for Rank 8.
      The real value should be almost the 2600, that we would need for Rank 15.
