This, I actually think is a great idea. Much like GWENT became a phenomenon, it could be great for the lore if there was a "past time" that planets shared.
Just don't know if a global one would work in lore. Humans, Beastmen and Demons probably don't have the same past times.
But now that you've opened this up the idea is gonna haunt me for a long time...
-
@muker He, it's not pvp, the target could be a npc, he just have to be human (but, is it really pvp if the ennemy is chained to a wall and can't defend himself ? )
-
@esher Oh, you mean in that sense. I don't know, this may only be for decoration and maybe it will be some NPCs for lore (some famous adventurer, who spends all his money on parties and currently it is stripped to the bone and demand of gold)
-
Hmmm... how about ONLINE tavern poker, where players in taverns across different planets can play together (but to connect they need to open a portal nearby first, so a signal (very loud yelling) can pass through).

Unless you are unlucky (not precise) and your dagger hits the chain and frees the target.

slartino kolletto, could be intercloco

I want to see a well made mini-game like gwent in witcher 3, not some crap ass minigames maplestory 2 throws at me to farm.
-
Preety cool
-
@chrightt the game is not out, we haven't seen heroes and monsters, and you're already asking them analogue gwent xD

I never played the Witcher games, but GWENT sounds like way beyond what I was thinking. I was actually thinking of Arcomage, which was a card game in M&M 7 and 8 (late 90's). It was so popular that they published it as a separate game. It's still available as "Archmage" on Android.
Like I said, I think it would be a great community contest to come up with mini-game ideas for taverns, then have the devs flesh them out. It wouldn't even have to be before release, although something like Arcomage could probably be coded pretty quickly.

(...)We know they have more important game mechanics to work on and we still love to share ideas. Who knows what will come down the line as the game reaches closer to completion.
The reason I mention my concerns is simply that feature creep is a very common and severe threat for games. It is easy for developers to fall prey to this and even more so when there's a vocal group calling for it, but in most every case, it has severely negative consequences in the end.

gwent is too much but it would be nice if there will be games like poker and blackjack or maybe rulet or dice. it will be fun and simple to implement. players will host private games in guild halls or taverns and megapolises will have like big casinos, after all people get rich and they have to do something with their money. ONLY humans can do this (maybe) but any race can play. since humans are nutral they can host games and walthiest deamons and beasts can get together and play without debuffs and in the end it may be finished as big fight

I really liked the idea of
in the eve online. It would be cool if something like this end up in the Fractured besides 'normal' mini games
-
Mini games at taverns would be cool
-
I've never really played the mini-games offered with the exception of festive games... like around holidays or Octoberfest type of events. Never really saw the appeal of logging into one game to play another.
-
Poker, Texas hold em, Rummy, Blind Man's Bluff, A custom fractured board game, etc.

I vaguely remember Arcomage! Those were fun games.

I think this would be fun just for a shoot the shit and pass the time kind of activity. I saw that someone else also recommended it to be built in towns and I think that would be a cool way to possibly draw people in or just have a neat attraction near by.
-
Yes please.
Games rooms for regular chess/connect4,
Taverns for card-based games,
Archery courses for shoot-the-duck (stationary and moving targets),
puzzles.Would also be nice to tie in housing somehow. Right now i don't see why players would visit each others houses.

Niko! It's Roman, let's go bowling..
