Guys, would you like to see some in-game mini-game in this project? For entertainment or profit. Certainly not something of GWENT level in the Witcher, not much easier. I understand that this does not fit into the game (atmosphere), but how do you feel about this and would you like to see it in the game?

Sure, I would like too see something like that. At least while players are in the tavern.
Would be nice to be able to do something fun while resting with friends. Some multiplayer mini game that you could play while resting.
-
@gothix Do you know what a fun mini-game at the moment the best? Write a course for 1.5 weeks on the technological process of manufacturing parts " bushing"
-
Various games in towns could be fun. Would be an interesting way to resolve some conflicts as well, if group members didn't want to /flipacoin.
-
@jairone I just remembered a mini-game in Fable, where the players were required to reach a certain point with a coin using the power of the throw
ะพะพะพ... it is possible to do the Easter eggs like the action to kick the chicken.... nostalgia
-
It might not really fit everywhere, but it remind me the mini-games in AC 3 or Read Dead Redemption. I would not be against this kind of thing
-
I'd like some mini game esk stuff for crafting
-
Well mini-games wouldn't be a problem game-type wise at least.
Iso-metric perspective doesn't matter here, since new UI would be opened for a mini game, so game perspective is irrelevant.
Mini games also fit the lore, and game style. Travelers can have fun while resting. It's why I suggested mini games being usable during resting phase only (taverns, your housing, or perhaps even in wilderness near camp fire, anywhere where you can rest).
Of course devs would need to care that they don't abuse any game copyrights. So if there would be any game it would have to be something publicly usable, or new invented game (just for Fractured). Second option would require some resource investment on start, but could reap benefits in the future with extra owned IP (like GWEN for example) where new separate game could be launched afterwards.

In a bar, have some tables feature poker. That would be nice to make, or lose money
But it's also gambling, so the game will end up with a mature/adult rating.Or have some tables with a chessboard on them.
-
I would much rather they focus on the real game instead of spending resources on mini games. That's too close to feature creep in my humble opinion.
-
The devs want us to spend time in our towns, and I think competitive tavern mini-games would help that happen, especially on the PVE side where you don't get much competition at all. The devs could even run community contests to come up with unique ideas for card games, board games, etc. that they would then create.
-
inserting idea. Some games I have played fishing was a small (and badly done most of the time) mini game in some games that I have played. With towns and what not, it would be intersting to add gambling mini games found at taverns.. have characters get drunker while doing it. Play against PC and NPC. It would be an interesting immersion feature. Have horse tracks, archery contests at ranges.. so many more things that could be done.
-
@logain Most of us dream big but were realists. We know they have more important game mechanics to work on and we still love to share ideas. Who knows what will come down the line as the game reaches closer to completion.
-
Well, if you are talking tavern games, you got to have darts, you know?
-
Here we are presented with a typical tavern in the world of people. From the interior we have a stove (probably for cooking), a bar, dining tables for four and standing places for drinking.
If we're going to put something in the tavern, it should fit there.
The first thing that comes to mind is gambling like cards, games with coins and who will drink more.
Unscheduled idea - if your character has developed a branch of divination skills, then at the table, he can tell fortunes to himself or players on fortune-telling cards, thereby the player will get a positive/negative effect.
-
We also have an outside tavern area.
It can be a game like throwing a dagger at a target and.... my fantasy is over
-
@muker Could the target be human ? :3
-
@esher Well, we're talking about mini-games, not pvp safe
-
Axe throwing games!

Hmmm... PvP poker... using cards... and daggers.
(in fact that was more or less an actual poker through most of history, and even today in some places)
