First Fractured Gameplay Video Released!
-
Yes ladies and gentlemen, it's all true. After a (way too) long wait, the first Fractured gameplay video has been finally released!
The footage includes 15 minutes of cuts from half an hour of pre-alpha gameplay, featuring the exploration of a 1 sq. km, procedurally-generated map, showcasing our beloved ARPG combat and the overall art direction of the game.
Adding to the above, we’ve thrown in some commentary with insights on core features such as character and world building. Moreover, we’re delving into “cool technical stuff” like procedural map generation and the inner workings of the SpatialOS engine.

Wow, it looks good so far. I really like that there are already a variety of mobility skills. This has me pretty hopeful.
Small nitpick on the video title. It says "Hike & Slash". I think it's supposed to be "Hack & Slash"
Edit: Or maybe it's supposed to be hike to emphasize the exploring?

Yes, it's a very bad pun

I like your first gameplay video! Thank you very much!
-
It looks pretty good! Combat seems fast but flows well. Looks like a solid foundation, can only get better from here!
-
awesome gameplay video. tyvm!
-
Can't wait to see deeper information about the knowledge system in game!
-
i like what I see! Keep up the good work
-
Nice video. I like it. Good work
-
I like the decorations of the world!!!
I mean how the layout looks very atmospheric.
Well, a bit the relation between world and charactermoving (walk/run) should be adjustet... but for a pre alpha first view, it is very very cool.
The fighting animations i like still, even they will be surely not ready in entirety.
Keep it up! And give us muuuuch mooooree!

Quite impressed by the level of polish in such an early product!
@Holya Indeed, indeed, i thought the same. Fractured using it's own "developer assets" to help promote the game ahahahahahahahaha

Exactly! Puns are a key marketing strategy. As for the gameplay itself? I'm super excited! This looks wonderful.

agree, cant wait to play

I, too, like what I see.
This looks surprisingly polished! I was expecting a way rougher gem but this one already has quite some polish! Keep it up.

Great! Looks quite nice and workable. Really would like to see less chaotic movement and animation. Now it looks like the characters do not interact with the outside world, do not have any weight or inertia, and because of this movement is not realistic. The same applies to the animation of the battle. But as an early build looks promising. The locations and the server works looking good.

nice one

This seems like it is only me but I am not very pleased with how the game looks visually. I would prefer either a brighter and newer look or an older more classic and dark look.
Combat seems slower than I anticipated since I was expecting more diablo 3 feels but I think it is alright.
Other than that I like how the map is created.
Keep in mind that I am not trying to be negative these are only my thoughts to have some discussion rather than just saying I like it and I do know this is not near even a beta so everything could be changed. Looking forward to the game nonetheless.
