May 2020 Open Playtest

Hi, fellow gamer and MMO enthusiast!
To celebrate the easing of the covid-19 restrictions in Italy and most of the EU, we’ve decided to… give you another reason to stay home in front of your computer with a new Open Playtest! Yay!
- Tuesday, May 26, 2pm CEST (8am EDT): access is granted to all backers, disregarding the type of pledge pack / founder pack.
- Thursday, May 28, 2pm CEST (8am EDT): access is granted to all registered users – no pledge needed!
- Monday, June 1, 10am CEST (2am EDT): the open playtest is over.

@Prometheus To be sure: does this mean that not being part of a militia, will keep you safe from other people attacking you at random?

There's an ELO-based reputation system (with global ranking). We are considering granting some bonuses to militia members in the future, but that's a big IF. These decisions will also be based on how much support the system gets during these tests

Only downside is that it will only last 3 days(5 days for backers). I wish it was longer

Well, I assume, you still can be "attacked randomly"
but then PvP goes by Syndesia rules, and has consequences.By being part of militia, attacking different militia member just skips the consequence part.

If you click on the link that leads to the announcement, you find the following at it's end:
'(...)Alpha 2 – Test 3 is coming in June though, so if you’re a backer with Alpha access, you’ll be able to start or join a city soon(...)'

I'd guess that massively depends on how it is being advertised and how 'ready and fun' PvP is compared to other activities. If people have to read stuff to know they can join a militia, don't count on too much participation.
