      No target lock, no auto-follow. All spells and attacks are skill-shots πŸ™‚ It's up to you to time your movements and the cooldowns of your spells - the limited number of spells you can carry with you at the same time, that is.

      This is something we're going to cover in a feature spotlight of its own, but I can drop some hints. There will be different schools of magic, tied to different regions of the world and to NPCs that populate player-made towns. The NPCs will be region-specific as well though. Bottom line, you'll have to explore the whole world, including the areas that are most hostile to your race, if you want to learn all the spells in the game. And then there are Ancestral and Divine spells, connected to the most remote locations and the Gods of Fractured... but I can't reveal more about those now, you'll have to wait for the spotlight πŸ˜‰

      That's also a very convenient way to get banned. We have already spotted several fake accounts - they're really easy to catch - and they've been "partially unlinked" from the referring account. By that I mean they can be used and can level up in The Foundation, but won't accrue Foundation Points to the referrer. Extreme cases like the use of scripts to generate tons of accounts could be punished in more extreme ways.

      @Karuro @Thomas @Holya keep in mind that daily points seem so relevant now because half of the Foundation quests have yet to be implemented. Specifically, all the repeatable ones are missing, such as the daily post on forums and reading / sharing updates. Once those are in, daily points will be just a minor perk. I've said it already: The Foundation has been designed to promote engagement with the community, not spamming referral links.

      We expect most will grow to small/medium sized and stop there because they will be controlled by a single guild. However, there are spots in the world where a city can grow much more than that. It will be up to the players really - if several large guilds can get together to form an alliance to manage a town, you'll be able to see real a metropolis πŸ™‚

      Hi neomurdoc! Fractured won't have a "conventional" faction system. However, the three races are in many ways factions already. Demon guilds will likely team up when it's time to invade other planets, Beastmen as well when it's time to protect Arboreus, and so on. Humans, well - you never know about them πŸ˜‰

Most mouse controlled games deal with it in a way that they dumb down combat so it's charging at enemies while firing skills. From what I've read about the game it's aspiring to be more then that.       Hi tulukaruk! I don't get your point about being hard to move in a direction opposite / sideways to the attack direction. When you click on a point on the ground (or hold down the mouse) to move, your character faces the direction of the movement. Since turning is almost instantaneous, you can easily repeat dodge-attack sequences. Actually, you'll be moving (dodging, retreating) all the time when you fight - going in like a bull against your target will generally be a very a bad idea!

      Hi Zenatsu! Every scale is planned I'd say, but in different circumstances. Small fights will definitely take place all the time for resource nodes and other interesting spots in the world. Large scale fights will most likely happen when guilds of demons (or evil-aligned humans) launch mass assaults on other planets, raiding towns and resources - or when the goods guys counter-attack. Moreover, asteroids will surely be another stage for large-scale battles between guilds!

      This will depend on the demand from the various communities, so it's a decision that we'll take later on. That being said, we have already identified some high priority languages, such as Russian and Portuguese. Other languages we'll likely consider are Spanish, French, Polish, German and of course Italian (since we are an Italian company!) πŸ™‚

      These are all very interesting questions but fall out of the scope of this dev journal, which is focused on planets and races. There will be future spotlights focused on crafting, equipment, town building / management, etc πŸ™‚

    • July Feature Spotlight: Cosmology & Races - List your questions!

      Hi everyone,

      we're glad to announce you that we're going to release our first Feature Spotlight this month! It will be focused on the following game features:

      • The solar system and its three planets (Syndesia, Arboreus, Tartaros) - including some notes about the lore;
      • The three races inhabiting the system (Humans, Beastmen, Demons) and their societies;
      • Travels between planets, orbits, and much more related to the cosmology of Fractured!

      Obviously, we can't really add all the information to the spotlight, lest we create a thousand-lines wall of text. Therefore, we're going to release a video Q&A as well, in which I will reply in person to all your questions on the topics above.
