How will you be making your $$$?
-
Will you be a mercenary guarding the caravans that transport goods between cities? Will you be a hunter braving the hazards of Tartaros to bring rare and valuable trophies back to Syndesia? Or will you be a renowned engineer creating the best (and most expensive) augments for your fellow humans to assist them in their everyday lives?
With all the options available to us in Fractured I wanted to see what creative ideas the community is coming up with and how you guys will be leaving your mark on this game
-
I plan to be an Erwydra who, after building her house , will live very quietly in the forests of Arboreus , gathering resources , crafting and venturing into Magic .
At the moment with no plans to conquer the world or fill my coffers
-
I plan to be a chaotic self supporter
-
Crafting, trading and playing with the market are the typical ways I make money in MMORPGs. Moreover, looting other players, especially if there will be some kind of bounty hunter system, then definitely that one too.
-
i'll be stealing the goods from those i kill.
the one option you didn't mention >:D
-
I want to try to be a good person in this crazy world, so I will sell my body to safely guard trips from merchants and maybe hold the ground in some town..
Mostly, I do not want to be the guy that will make another's life miserable so I intend in some kind of group play that does not involve killing other good-aligned players
(Bounty hunter would be an awesome system and I would for sure be a hunter)

Hard to say during this early date. Have plenty of interest in farming and mining though.
-
As this is a fantasy game, i'd do the things that I've always wanted to do IRL to make money.
Door to door milk sales man.
Light bulb repairs man.
Book Tester.
Pet Food Tester.
Pet Food Critique.
Judge at Fractured's Got Talent.
-
@Zori Awesome! I was needing a pet food specialist for all the cats and foxes I am going to have!!! Are you willing to pet sit as well? after you replace my bad light bulb that is?
-
@Ostaff I worry that my insurance company will not cover pet sitting. Might be a bad mix between being a milk sales man and pet sitting at the same time.
-
@Zori mmmmm... I see.. yes.. I would hate for my pets to start loving to be around you more than me. that would be a bad thing.
-
I am not sure yet, but it will probably be magic, knowledge or gods related. Helping people with my magic like opening portals, enchanting stuff, assisting them on adventures or helping them gain arcane/divine knowledge.
-
Gathering mats for Shrooffie แตแดน and delivering them to particular tavern.
Fighting off furry (and other) thieves trying to steal the said mats.
Dancing on tables in particular tavern for tips.Occasionally if I'm out of coffee, due to crisis, go on murdering rampage to random villages and take whatever I can.

Begging..... Has not worked in the last 15 MMOrpgs, so I'm very hopeful this time.

It's better to find some other beggar, and stick around until he has annoyed people too much already.
Then you come near him and say in local public chat something stupid for a joke, like, I also need gold to build a death star, and ask for somewhat bigger amount.I've actually gotten gold several times from random people like that.

You know what they say. Fifteenth time is the charm...
Scoffs Who needs money?

@Zori Milk delivery sounds great, can you drop a couple of pints off near the goblin hills? make sure its fat free i have to keep in shape for chasing off goblins, beggars and pesky door to door mat salesmen.
-
My go-to is definitely an enchanter / travelling merchant.
There's nothing better than to just drop everything, buy some bulk materials and go on a trip to the end of the world along with some buddies, forgetting the burdens of neverending guild wars and battles. Getting to see the faraway lands and meet the locals is something that has always brough joy for me in this kind of games. Exploring all the different communities and their work along with getting some coin for flipping the goods, too romantic to give up.
And enchanting is just a fun mechanic that naturally complements the life of a traveling merchants as they get to hold all the different and rare reagents. Can you imagine how sought after will the top tier gear be when we get more enchantment tiers? And just figuring out the optimal enchanting combinations sounds way too fun

I'm sure everyone will be earning gold like every other mmo. Killing mobs that drop coins, doing npc quests that reward with coins and crafting/sales of things people want (this one might not work if everyone can do everything easily). I'm sure those who pk will be doing their best in the lands that allow pvp
