It sounds like the devs could easily move the slider for how common sieges will be by adjusting the profitability of owning a city. They may move the slider. But I'm not convinced that gold is going to be enough to start a war. It may be secondary reward for winning, but not really relevant in what causes tension between regions.

  Old discussion I know. I agree with the OP though. Looks like the ground textures looked more like dirt. It created a stark contrast between the ground and the grass and plants. Which in my opinion, created a sense of layered texture to the world that it now lacks. Now grassy areas are washed out and the ground texture looks very similar to the grass and plants in the area. The world lacks contrasting environments. It actually tires me out and traveling through these areas becomes quite boring. Hoping that the developers continue to add variation to all of their textures and potentially upgrade them in the future when performance allows.

  They could make it to where you load such materials directly from a Cart/Wagon instead of the Piles. Citizens would have the option to use either, non-citizens, the Pile option would be disabled.

  I'm more interested if, since this is leaning towards sandbox, shall we be able to use our bodies "as a resource", and make some profit on the side like that. And shall we need a room in the inn for that, or can we "do business" wherever we want to?

But we will be ever in disadvantage, we do not have players or guilds if you are solo, I do not want to play in a big guild because of lot of things, I just want to do my game with my fellows, with this system do you think that they allow you to get resources? They will make a skirmish to decimate all that try it. Maybe for being an alpha test solo players and small guilds could stabilish in a city, but in beta it will not be possible because of numbers and guilds that will play. I was wondering about a way to stop people enter in the city and the easier way is make my guild members buy all plots around, so nobody will enter and use my buildings. Another thing is big guilds do not need to get gold from players, they can do it by yourselves, I don't like the idea of ​​equipping my enemies or using my buildings so I`ll do all as possible to prevent it. The numbers of cities now is 36, but the problem will be the same like last alpha test, cities will be empty because do not have people to all of them, and a lot of small guilds or group of players will try to get a city to not enter in one that have people.

  Well, at the moment I think that no big guilds will make an alliance between them, but if you imagine a scenario when 3 big guilds make an alliance to get technologies (it will be necessary to unlock some techs), this scenario can't be changed. A lot of things should be explained, so I'll go wait for it. I was just trying to imagine possibilities that it do not occur or it will be like Albion Online.

  at least some of you know how to encourage people to share ideas and opinions....... There is one point : if you don't want to read it you are no obliged to. in one topic i wanted to have explanations and answers to know how / if / in wich context it could be possible to play his character not as plan at the beginning. I have my answer and in understand truly what is plan for the game. i m just frustrated to have the choice between human or human for the game play i want. in this topic it's about how a guild can exist in different planet. can they take profit of a large organisation ? could we see here a guild who try to be present in each planet with the same lore. then i also have my answer. I m sorry to see maby further and bigger or just differently. i m a little bit disapointed that even just asking and arguing seems to be criminal .... have a nice day

  Perhaps personal small boats in which you enter alone (activate in shallow water like a mount on land) and you are sitting in boat and can click to move on water like mounted. Could travel like that and fish... Perhaps skillbar would change while "boat-ed" and there would be a limited number of combat actions enabling you to attack other boats. Of course depending on pvp rules that are valid for the current world and zone (Tartaros, Syndesia, Arboreus).

  @ThrillKill this 100%! Take Eve Online. For every pvper there are dozens of pve miners, solo explorers, and industrialists farming mats and producing all the ships the pvpers burn down. You need legions of these guys to make a player driven economy work!

Candidates could mention what they would do to please citizens. Example: Opening the city for PVP or lowering the house maintenance fee, building roads, etc. Yes, the developers already plan on having a democratic government for the cities (unless the governor package was bought where the governor could have a "dictatorship" instead of a democratcy and can not be outed except by a coup) where elections can be held every 30 days I believe it is.

  @GamerSeuss - yeah, I run a FB page myself but recently told the folks who follow it that it's not gonna be very active, for reasons my followers will ALL relate to. It's a juggernaut, to be sure. A few years back I tried out a decentralized social network called Diaspora. I really dug the folks I met there, but I couldn't convince fam and friends who are more normal to join me, so eventually had to admit that if I wanted to stay in touch with my friends/fam all over the world, I'd need to suck it up and log on to fb a few times a week. <sigh>
