    • RE: How click intensive is Fractured?

I have problems with my hands as well. For me, it's games that use the keyboard for character movement that give me the most trouble. But I think Fractured will be ok. It uses the mouse for most things and you can hold down the left mouse button to move your character around (just like Diablo and Grim Dawn) so you don't have to constantly click.

But it does mean that your finger muscle/tendon is going to be engaged for long periods of time. Which could be a problem for someone with tendonitis 😞

    • RE: fishing

I'm so glad to here this! Fishing is a really relaxing activity that usually makes a nice profit. So I hope we can sell our fish to NPC vendors or cook them to make food that we can sell to other players 🙂

    • RE: The decision for public vs citizens-only crafting stations should be made by Governors, not Dynamight

I'm a solo PvE player. I'm not really interested in combat. So I'm hoping it'll be possible to role play as a merchant or simple farmer in Fractured and spend most of my time focusing on crafting and the economy.

So I strongly disagree with the idea of any kind of forced grouping. To be forced to join a Guild just to progress would kill any desire I have to play this game.

With that said, I like the suggestions that GamerSeuss came up with:

My own suggestion for the City Resources to balance things out is as follows:

      1. A City's Coffers gets a share of the 2000 gold used to buy Resident parcels in an area....not saying they get the whole nut, but some of it needs to go their way, 10-20% so 200-400 would be good.
      2. All Resource Processing facilities in town are open to use by anyone, however, all of these resource processing centers include a small fee for usage. The fee would vary from processing plant to processing plant, but again, this makes it so if your enemies want to use your resource development systems, they have to pay into your upkeep to do so.
      3. As with part 2, Make visitors pay for use of the Inn, the Stables, maybe even pay a small tithe to enter the city beyond a certain tech point. Once there's a wall and guards, many medieval cities charged a Tax or Tithe at the gate when you entered a city unless you could prove you were on Royal Business.
      4. Citizens of a city, those with their actual citizenship set to that city and who are in open support of the city, internal or external plot not withstanding, either waive the fee at the resource places, or get the fee reduced. (ie: In-Town Citizens get the use for free, Resident Citizens living out of the town walls pay 1/2 the normal fee to use the processing centers)

I don't object to paying a small fee to use the amenities of a city, as long as I can remain independent.

In time, it's possible I might decide to become a citizen of a city, but it will depend very much on what type of people live there and if I want to associate with them 🙂

    • RE: Idea: PvP Is Determined By Which World You Choose To Play In

@GamerSeuss This is interesting. I've been reading the Wiki and it said that humans could only stay on Arboreus for a short time.

Indeed, only Humans with Good alignment are allowed to walk the lands of Arboreus for a considerable amount of time – 20/40 real-world hours, thus being able to explore a good portion of the world at once, collecting resources and acquiring knowledge.

Has this changed? Can any race now live permanently on Arboreus if they are of 'good' alignment?

    • Idea: PvP Is Determined By Which World You Choose To Play In

I'm a PvE player and it seems that the only way I can avoid PvP is to play as a Beastman on the Arboreus world. This is disappointing, as I'd prefer the freedom to play as any race I like.

So I have an idea, why not let players play as any race they please, but let the world they select determine their exposure to PvP?

For example, let's say the worlds are just as they are now. But PvP is disabled on Arboreus, so if you choose to play on Arboreus you'll never need to worry about PvP. It's carebear heaven 🙂

Syndesia is more dangerous. PvP is enabled. The starting towns are safe, but as you head out into the world it becomes more and more risky.

Tartaros is the definition of Hell. It's open world, full loot, no holds barred, PVP slaughter. You can kill anyone, anywhere at any time, without consequences. Only the bravest and toughest souls will choose to play in this world.

It's just an idea. I'd be curious to know what others think. Would you like to be able to play as any race on any world?
