Nice to see a French guild! Just a little tip - you can copy-paste the link of the guild's page in The Foundation!

RE: Mount
@lehuan5062 clever question. Although it might sound a little weird for Beastmen, the answer is that all races can ride mounts - including the ones coming as Foundation rewards. Don't forget that Beastmen have two forms (basic and primal), and the basic one is two-legged, with a body shape that resembles the human one. Of course Beastmen can ride mounts only when in basic form - thus we totally believe a wolf-kin with a wolf mount won't look silly at all!

RE: What type of sandbox?
Hi @Yentlyn  This is probably not the answer you want to hear, but, as @Vengu pointed out, building in Fractured will indeed be quite close to what you've called "prop-based". You'll be able to customize your constructions, but only through pre-made assets.
We've decided to take this approach so we can focus more on other areas of gameplay where we think we can truly innovate the genre. Hop you'll give Fractured a chance anyway - there's a lot more to it than customizing your own home / plot of land!

Guild Recruitment Section Rules
This forum section has been created to give Fractured players a place to look for a guild or to promote their own guild.
A few rules apply here in addition to the standard Fractured Forum Rules, as listed below:
- You are only allowed to open a thread for your guild or for yourself if you are looking for one.
- If your guild is targeted to players speaking a specific language, or if you are looking for a guild using a specific language, you are allowed to discuss using that language in your thread.
- This section is just for guild recruitment, not for guild politics and competition.
- Adding to the previous point and more generally speaking, don't post replies to recruitment threads unless you're want to receive more information on the guild or want to become a member.
- We invite you to actually create the guild in The Foundation and add the link to its page to your recruitment thread. You don't have to do it, but it makes things much easier!
Threads and posts that break the rules outlined above will be removed. Posts in a recruitment thread might also be removed following a request from the guildmaster / lieutenant who has opened the thread.

Fractured Forum Rules
Hi everyone,
our aim with the following rules is to make this forum a friendly and enjoyable place for the whole Fractured community. A place where you can learn more about the game, discuss it and find new friends, while we can gather your feedback. Please help us make it so by abiding to them!
1) BE CIVIL
Treat each other with respect. Don't insult other users, troll them, or bait them into breaking the rules. Also, keep criticism constructive. For more information about the rules regarding Acceptable Content, I suggest you read paragraph 5 of our Terms of Service.
Here's a summary of the most important rules:
- Do not harass other users. For example: Insulting others, flaming, etc.
- Do not troll other users.
- Do not threaten other people, unless it's within the context of the game.
- Do not invade other people's privacy and do not* doxx other users. (posting other people's real life information).
- Do not post hate speech (discriminatory, racist, etc).
- Do not impersonate staff or other users.
In addition to that, certain content is forbidden from being posted. This includes (but is not limited to):
- Sexually explicit content.
- Illegal content.
- Malicious content like viruses.
- Hacks, cheats and exploits.
- Copyrighted content.
- Unsolicited or unauthorized advertising.
For a full list of prohibited content and behaviour, I once again refer you to the Terms of Service.
2) DON'T SPAM
All comments should stay on topic and all threads should be relevant to the section they're posted in. Also, keep in mind that the off-topic section is for discussions unrelated to Fractured, not for spam.
If you want to gain Foundation Points from the Daily Post quest but don't have anything interesting to say, you can however leave a "spammy" post in this thread.
3) FORBIDDEN SUBJECTS
In addition to the rules above, we have also decided to forbid the following subjects from being discussed:- Politics
- Religion
I am sure you can understand why we have forbidden these two subjects. These subjects often lead to fights and drama, and have little to do with what this forum is about. Because of this, we believe the best course of action is to simply disallow users from discussing them. These rules only apply to real life politics and religion, discussions about in-game politics and religion are obviously fine.
4) MODERATORS
Moderators and Dynamight Studios staff reserve the right to remove, edit, lock, move, or otherwise adjust content posted by the users of this forum at any time.
If you disagree with an action taken by a moderator, send him/her a PM or send one to a member of the Dynamight Studios staff instead of making a post about it.
Breaking the above rules can result in a warning or the temporary/permanent suspension of your account, depending on the severity of the offense and the existence of prior warnings.

RE: Magic
@firefiite said in Magic:
So from what I have gathered so far, the combat system is akin to ARPGs like Diablo and the like. Also in the landing page for the website I see a wizard freezing water, so my question is, will the magic system be something similar to what Magicka has? For example, mixing an earth element and a fire element will create a fireball that explodes on impact.
Hi Fire! No, not really. The fact you can interact with the environment (and with the effects of other spells, too), doesn't mean that the way you cast them will resemble the Magicka series. The uniqueness of our system lies in how you learn the spells and what they can do!

RE: Vietnamese Discussions
@lehuan5062 said in Vietnamese Discussions:
According to @OutlawHero, @Prometheus wrote that Vietnam is among the top 10 visitors to the site and forum. Outlaw also suggests that the forum should has a Vietnamese Discussion in the Non-English Discussions (me too). I gonna post an English topic about Hero/God info for the hero profile creation, and willing to post in Vietnamese too if we have the VN discussion
Hi @lehuan5062! The section has been created - enjoy!

RE: Hero and Guild creation now live in The Foundation
@flotsam said in Hero and Guild creation now live in The Foundation:
Any info on if there will be a cap on the amount of players that can be in a single guild?
Hi flotsam  There will be certain requirements (related to player-controlled cities) determining how many players you can have in your guild, but I can't reveal more about that now That being said, we're not planning to put a cap on how high a guild can go.

RE: A Delicate Question: Slavery
@fyrsey said in A Delicate Question: Slavery:
I see your point, but it's not really a reduction, slaves are still individuals, always have been.
That's for sure! What I meant by "downplaying" is that a slave NPC would be just a character who works for you - at most you would have to keep it alive. Other MMOs (such as BDO) have hired workers, but the concept is similar.
NPCs in Fractured instead have their own lives and businesses. You can't order them to do this and that. You can buy from their shops if they've setup one and it's open. If you're a regular customer and/or have a high reputation in the city they might offer you discounts at most. Just a couple examples, but you get the idea. Slaves wouldn't work in this picture.
@Logain sorry but that's not planned as of today!

RE: Fallen Angels (PK)-Tag:Ev!L
@CorruptedKnight wouldn't it be easier if you just copy-pasted the URL of your guild here instead of explaining how to find it, or is the whole process a test for candidates?

RE: Hero and Guild creation now live in The Foundation
@holya said in Hero and Guild creation now live in The Foundation:
Is this just a forum thing, or will names and such be reserved for the actual game?
They aren't, but there will be a way to reserve names in the future.
@aries we'll post a full spotlight dedicated to gods - including game mechanics (not only lore). You'll be able to make a very informed decision then!
@NyteWytch I've written you a PM, let's get this sorted out!

RE: Where can i find info on the gods?
@CaedesEnder the Spotlight @Luccheno posted is indeed the only source of information as of today. There will be a full spotlight dedicated to Gods in the future though

RE: A Delicate Question: Slavery
That's a very interesting question you have here, @Fyrsey. NPC "slavery" is not a planned feature as of today.
NPCs will play a big role in Fractured - guilds will be able to attract them to their villages / towns, where they can settle and start their own businesses. They'll have proper names, be more or less skilled in different activities and - to an extent - have different personalities.
Reducing all of this to "slavery" (Ã la Conan Exiles) would downplay the whole system a lot

RE: Just some questions
Hey @Esher, what @Specter said about Dynamight Gold is correct. As to whether you'll be able to exchange it directly for game currency (and vice-versa) or not, the answer is most likely not.
All the rewards you see in The Foundation can be claimed by characters of any race - we've kept them generic so far for that reason. Moving on with higher levels though, we'll offer rewards with custom skins that change according to the race of the claimer

@vengu said in Hero and Guild creation now live in The Foundation:
Is this still relevant then or should I remove it from the compilation thread? https://forum.fracturedmmo.com/topic/145/dungeons-guild-info/3
Still relevant. Guild creation in game will be more sophisticated

@meziljin said in Hero and Guild creation now live in The Foundation:
Seems like this is becoming a text game, still not a video, a screenshot (except the background one), game we know is totally based on texts and ideas...
Too much hype required....
I feel your pain Mez - it's ours too. However, you need to understand that making an MMO - one with Fractured's scope especially - is no small deal. Screenshots and video footages will be available once they are good to be presented to the public and the press, since many players fail to understand the idea of "alpha graphics", sadly.

Hero and Guild creation now live in The Foundation
Hi fellow Humans, Beastmen and Demons,
work on our upcoming Kickstarter campaign and Alpha 1 is moving on at a super-intense pace here at house Dynamight, but we haven't forgotten to keep you up to date with some exciting news about Fractured! This time it's not a Feature Spotlight we're releasing, though - it's a new expansion of The Foundation, featuring character and guild creation.
Why have we decided to add all of this to the Fractured web portal? Above all, it's been to allow you to:
- Share your future profile with other members of the community.
- Find new friends to team up with for social and/or competitive reasons.
- Gain a couple additional levels right away - we're sure you won't mind that!
So, let's have a more detailed look at what you can do from today on.
Hero Creation
To create your character you just have to open this page, that can also be reached through the Foundation button in the navigation bar of fracturedmmo.com.
When creating your character, you can choose your race/family, the god you worship, and your alignment. Moreover, you're able to add a long background story for your character, if you fancy some good old role-playing!
During character creation, your race limits what gods you can choose, which in turn restricts your alignment options. The combinations available are designed according to the lore and gameplay mechanics we've revealed in Feature Spotlight #1 and #2. In this regard, you might notice that both Beastmen and Demons can choose a Neutral alignment - be it Lawful, Chaotic, or True Neutral.
This doesn't mean your future game characters will be able to start on a different planet or enjoy a special ruleset, but you can use this feature to signal other players that your personal disposition doesn't follow the Fractured's racial canon.
Guild Creation
Once you have created your character, you'll able to make it join any existing guild or start your own. Both guild creation and searching for other guilds are available in this page, which is linked in the navigation bar as well.
When forming a guild, you can choose a unique name for it, a tag, its race, and write a long description explaining its rules, history, purpose - whatever you fancy. Once the guild is created, you'll become its Guildmaster. To share your duties with friends you trust, you'll be able to promote Regular members to Lieutenants, endowing them with powers such as accepting new members and kicking existing ones.
If you want to join a guild, just visit the guild's page through the Search Guild button, or have another player share the guild's link with you (it's enough to copy-paste the url of the page!). Once you've requested membership, you just have to wait for the Guildmaster or a Lieutenant to accept you!
Please mind that, as explained above, guilds are race-restricted - that is, characters of different races can't be in the same guild. Consequently, some options such as deleting your character and changing its race might be disabled or limited when you're in a guild or have requested to become a member of one. This limitation is not set in stone for the actual game, though.
Final Remarks
This is just the first iteration of character and guild creation in The Foundation. In the coming weeks, we're going to expand them with some nice additions such as:
- More colors and symbols for your guild banner.
- Guild ranking in the leaderboard.
- Some formatting options for hero backgrounds and guild descriptions.
- A preview of the attributes that you'll be able to assign to a new character when you create a real one in game.
Of course, please mind that the names, tags and descriptions you upload must comply with our Terms of Service. Violations of the terms might lead to profiles being edited and the underlying accounts suspended.
What's next? Something HUGE: the much awaited Feature Spotlight dedicated... to the Knowledge System!
Stay tuned and enjoy Fractured!

RE: Lore is IMPORTANT
@rolanstorm said in Lore is IMPORTANT:
They just said 'no XP, lore will be very improtant and to be discovered, game is a lot about exploration'.
A full Feature Spotlight dedicated to the Knowledge System will be live in the coming weeks - everything will be 100% clean then!
@vengu said in Lore is IMPORTANT:
The devs should make the knowledge system like the Tome of Knowledge from Warhammer Online then.
Parts of the Knowledge System (e.g. Bestiary, Lore) might end up looking quite similar to the Tome of Knowledge of Warhammer Online, so that's a good reference for you to keep in mind. The core of it (learning abilities and general character progression), however, not really... It'll be much more exciting, I'd say!

RE: Who are you gonna be ?
@greenfire said in Who are you gonna be ?:
The beasts look to be a very powerful choice if they do end up adding criminal beasts? Exiled from their home planet for not following the rules could be a good choice for a mercenary guild to have.
Evil Beastmen and redeemed Demons will exist, but the path to follow to become one of them will be long and challenging. As I've explained elsewhere, the process indeed includes being exiled from your natural home planet!
