less 'less is more' armor and more 'more is more' armor. If Fractured has evening wear then i'm ok with shear and not enough coverage but combat armor should be armor or there had better be some really good explaining going on.

I always like the clothed armor style from Morrowind concept art. Maybe not too practical, but it looks really cool.

@hempyboy actual armor i dont wanna see female characters in that skimpy ann summers mithril line, armor should look like effective armor or not be affective if its skimpy.

I liked the idea of Tattoos in Planescape torment. On character it would be like if the avatar was wearing no armor at all, but would be in "war paint" like celts, native americans or african tribe warriors (and while offering literarily no defence at all, it might give serious offence bonuses).

So is the heavy bulky armor going to affect stats like dexterity? In D&D the trade off for more armor is less speed. You can't stack your high dex bonus for armor completely. There is a sweet spot at which armor starts to lose you your dex.
