Website & Forum Migration Completed
-
Hi everyone,
we've just completed the migration of the Fractured website and forums to new servers.
The old (virtual) machines hosting them were poor both in hardware and bandwidth, which made them sluggish whenever load was higher than usual - such as when we put the game down for patching during open weekends.
The porting started yesterday morning and took a day and a half to complete. We moved the forum database yesterday night, which means the messages you posted in the last dozen hours were lost - sorry for that!
You can expect the forums to go down again in the next few days for further fixes - yes, we are aware emotes are kinda broken and it's no longer possible to stop following forum categories.
Thank you all and stay tuned - we have big news coming in the next few weeks!
-
Lol we had little panic attacks but our minds were put to ease. Glad things are going smooth with the transfer

Is that where I saw that "test post"? I clicked on it but it just said the page could not be displayed.
-
The "Get Access" button picture is broken. The link still works, but the picture just shows a large outline and a tiny picture of a ripped page in the top left corner of the link picture area.
-
Glad i am too lazy to post much lately... so nothing lost for me.
Hoping the forum works better now.
Will take a close look to it, especially if it can handle now more than 3 open Tabs of the Forum with an open Editor
It seems on the first sight, that the Preview is a bit faster.
Cross my fingers, that it works way better now.Which big news?
You are mean, always to tell about news and let us wait! *plays a small girl who is stubborn*

I wondered what was up when the forum was down.... Glad to know it was something expected and in the name of upgrade!
@Prometheus, *tu nostri stuzzicarlo! >;-}

This post is deleted!
-
@Prometheus the pictures with links in the forum are broken (at least for me)
browser reset doesnt fix it
(newest version of firefox, other browsers not tested)
-
hmm well looks like I missed the whole forum being down thing. HOWEVER I am very intrigued by the 'big news" Don't leave us hanging too long, the suspense kills me!

I made several test posts, you likely clicked on one when I was deleting it

All images should be fixed now! @Lohen

That's related to the forum platform, nodebb, not the hardware of bandwidth, so I don't think it's changed sadly... unless the fact we also upgraded nodebb to the latest version helped

I guess what you were trying to say, but this google translate attempt didn't really work well

It's just so many I don't know where to begin!

Good luck on all the upcoming fixes, I hope they won't distract you too much from the game. It's a good call to get a new log-in server up and running now though, so you have a good chance to cope with future high traffic.

Start with the first one, then one after another.
Maybe like a "Daily dose of Fractured."

Oh nice! I love news!
Especially good ones!

LOL I can always count on google.translate to make people giggle. I like the suggestion @Kralith makes: just give us a clue, and then another clue... doesn't matter where you start, honest!

It’s refreshing to see this company taking things seriously and constantly trying to improve.
