What are the things you heavily dislike in any MMO (regardless of MMO type (pvp/pve/sandbox/themepark..))
-
Make your TOP 10 list!
This is my list.
I heavily dislike in any MMO out there:- multi boxers
- botters
- hackers, exploiters and cheaters of any kind
- gold sellers spamming world chat
- streamers spamming world chat with their links
- AFK activities (equal to botting imo, makes game more dead then it should be, like solo game with AIs around you)
- developers stating one thing then crossing the players making something opposite (devs outright lying to players)
- players entitlement to everything
- players crying to nerf everything too difficult for them (because they HAVE TO be able to complete everything in game)
- ridiculous prices in cash shop (greed) (for example 50$ for a single piece of virtual clothing)
-
@gothix i actually only hatethe super repetitive missions ...
-
sandbox restrictions
-
Grinding!
-
For me the biggest issues are:
- things that give other players any sort of advantage for a price.
- Botters, gold sellers, spammers
- Pointless grinding
I actually enjoy farming for things but when it becomes a pointless grind it becomes unfun.
-
The lack of strategy in pve, either you're a higher level and can kill mobs to easily or you're under level and dies or has to run away. Either way the game is limited to clicking and pressing buttons now and then.
-
grinding
spam
dev teams that don't listen to the players
game breaking mechanics
exploits going ignored
skinner boxes
-
- Gold spam.
- WoW has an amazing mod for chat and I never saw gold spam because of it.
- I'll agree on the 50$ virtual items. I wouldn't call it greed, the company places it at a strategic price point. Although I do feel sub-5$ items would sell better. I'd love to see a game with actual microtransactions of sub 1$.
- Dailies.
I like multi-boxing in Diablo 3. It grants me the opportunity to gain more than I would playing solo. As long as it doesn't hurt other players it shouldn't be an issue.
-
Beside some still said things i don‘t like in other MMOs player who have fun about bad treating other players and such one who can‘t difference between ingame Roleplay and real attitudes.
-
-
P2W
-
Players who act like children
-
-
Sandbox restrictions bother me the most

Sandbox restrictions bother me the most
i'm curious which restrictions you speak of.
-
- Grinding 100%
- Trolls / Griefers and folks whose only enjoyment is the misery of others. PVP folks are entirely different and a needed population.
- Gear barriers to content. This goes with grinding.
- An immature player base filled with squaking children unable to string a sentence together without cussing.
-
paywalls. although i'm ok with expansions.. go figure.
-
Addons/Mods that are necessary to be competitive.
Streamers getting special attention or privileges in a game just because they're a streamer.
Gold sellers / botters / economy being ruined because of it. A great example of this is Tibia.
A "sandbox" that isn't really a sandbox, more of a box that's empty except for a pile of shit inside of it.
A lack of interesting abilities/spells/mechanics.
Shitty or unengaging combat.
Lack of weapon choices, or subpar weapons that have no place in the game as a viable option.
Being unable to buy a hat with the games logo on it
-
Easy mode pve
-
I dislike quests like :
Get 500 of this thing,
Kill 2000 mobs od this type...
Urgh
-
Quests that ask you to get x drop items and then don't guarantee the drop every time you kill the monster so you end up killing 200 enemies to get 20 of the item.
-
What I dislike in any MMO can be put into 1 word; 'Toxicity'.
-
I dislike:
- Scammers/Girefers
- Grind resources for a never ending crafting
- Gear based system
- Gold sellers
- P2W aka powerfull weapons in the cash shop not obtenible in game or extremly rare to obtein.
- A bad/not helpfull guild management system
