Pledge Packs Are Going... With A Sale!
-
Hi everyone!
All good things must come to an end... and so do the Kickstarter-replica Pledge Packs currently available in the Fractured Store.
You've asked this question frequently, now the answer is official: pledge packs are going to be removed from the store at the end of the next Alpha test. This means they're going to be available for approximately 1 month longer (mid July), then they'll be gone for good!
To celebrate this big change, we've decided to apply a discount to current pledge packs. Say hi to the Crowdfunding End Sale!
Enjoy Fractured!

Definitely sharing this with my group. Hopefully I get some adds from my community. Heck I even upgraded

Meaning we can expect the next Alpha Phase to start in max. 2 - 3 Weeks. Good news

Indeed!

Are they going to be removed DIRECTLY after the next Alpha test, or will we have a day or two afterwards?
-
@Prometheus thanks for heads up

Awesome guys. Looking forward to what this new store might have. Would love to buy some additional cosmetic things, pets, or mounts.
-
Can't wait!
-
oh man..
although i have to say, i believe selling the lifetime VIP for 150-300 as an upgrade might be a good thing.
Camelot Unchained has lifetime sub addon for 190. and CU is sub required to play.

Good luck on the sales, I hope you can achieve a steady income!
And good call on adjusting the testing schedule.
-
GJ, Is a good move to progressing the site too toghether with the game.

Kinda wish I waited with my upgrade from Knight to Immortal.
However: I don't mind so much, as I'm glad to have been able to support this most novel of ideas.
Thanks for offering this. I hope more people buy in.
-
Pricing looks the same for the Knight pack?
-
Things are moving forward..... get your packs!
-
Already got my Immortal pack, two weeks prior the sale...Ah well, whatever! The important part is that Alpha is coming!

Although not too perturbed, I do have to wonder who thought this was a fair idea whatsoever. Seems rather strange that putting money up front, where the project had less of a foundation.... bah, I won't even go into it.
I just hope it's not foreshadowing of similar tactics to come.
To clarify:
The money isn't an issue for me, it's the idea of it. I obviously put money forward for a vision, but it's tactics like these that I absolutely abhor. Such a shame, I suppose a company can't be perfect.

stores have sales all the time. Target has a 90 day time line if a product isn't moving fast. Steam has a sale nearly every quarter.
I think the idea is great to put them on sale before removing them (or changing the perks).
-
@Pluto I tend to agree. It does seem to be a bit of a kick in the face to those who paid full price to pledge in the beginning.

That really isnāt comparable, at all haha. These arenāt physical items that have been on sale for awhile. The thing about physical merchant sales is the fact that things have been iterated on, and newer, better items become available. Thus, the old items get marked down to get them moved. If Dynamight followed that model, Iād be EXTREMELY worried, not just slightly perturbed.
If I need to clarify, this would be like Dynamight creating newer, better packs than those from the Kickstarter and then knocking down the prices for the Kickstarter packs permanently, until they are sold out. However, the Kickstarter packs are digital so they canāt sell out... might as well leave them up forever, eh?
Steam has a similar problem, minus the physicality of the item of course. Steams has production/released games. Bringing up early access isnāt valid either, thatās still āreleaseā in my book.
And the most important factor? Neither steam nor target are crowdfunded sources. We (or I) backed the Kickstarter in full confidence that I would be treated fairly and newcomers would not be given a better deal that I cannot take advantage of for my tier.
@Bailey
It really is, Iām pretty used to these cash grab tactics from developers by now. The two that hurt me the most is star citizen, and now fractured. Iām still interested in both games, but... itās different after something like this. Thankfully novaquark has held true so far with dual universe, there is yet hope!

I was happy to upgrade!
