What planet are you planning on starting on?
What allignment do you plan to play? evil, neutral or good?
What country are you based? some guilds are specific for country, as for ease of communication and having players online at similar times, due to timezones.
What do you plan to specialise in, whilest playing the game?
Are you looking for a crafting oriented guild? A fighting one? perhaps a material farming one? A Traders guild or a Hired Mercinary guild?
The entire economics of this game is player driven... and there are a lot of things to consider as to what guild would be a good fit for you
The transfer seems to have gone through and all my purchases are there. The only thing I wish I could do, that will hopefully be fixed in the near future, is being able to view the contents of my pledge pack (from way back at kickstarter)
@BCAnimus I am pretty sure it was planned to be buy to play. Everything in the store, at least currently (and expected for the foreseeable future), is purely cosmetic. The devs have said that they are completely against any form of pay to win features.
I bring this up, partially because of Black Widow Spiders. Before they felt like a bit of a threat, just like big black spiders... Now, even without ANY magic resist... In fact I have negative Magic resist due to 6 base Int stats, they still aren't a damn threat They are COMPLETE pushovers. Completely useless mobs. Giant Spiders seem to have been buffed and now have stupid amounts of poison damage. WTF? How can this be called Balancing?
I know there are multiple topics, but i scrolled through like 100 rescent posts and couldn't find any.
I feel the nerf was completely unneccissary though... and I have never played a mage. I have fought along side a few and even done some PvP with one.
I honestly think acid damage is alot more dangerous right now than ice or magic damage was. People were only complaining about magic missiles and ice spikes in particular, because almost every mage seemed to have it... My question is... if it was such a problem... why the hell did noone decide to protect themselves against them?
In my duel with a mage, they took down my hp real fast with a couple of skills, before finally using magic missile. I had warg armour on, so it did little damage to me. The mage supposedly didn't expect me to survive that final barrage and just stood there for a couple of seconds, I can only assume in shock. My gear wasn't even enchanted for extra magic defence. It was just the basic material bonuses.
If people stop treating this as a vertical progression game, and even 1/4 as a horizontal progression game (which is about all it is at this point, despite the devs saying it was going to be fully horizontal progression at the beginning)... then players actual knowledge and experience would reflect and they would hopefully adapt and evolve instead of complaining and brining in toxicity as they have lately.
1 set of equipment is NOT supposed to be used for everything.
If unarmed naked mages were the main issue... why not make the spells only usable with the assistance of a staff instead? why not have a damage algorithm like;
Damage = (1/10)Staff DmgInt stat?
Instead of ONLY being based off Int?
You can argue that isn't horizontal progression... But if it was truely horizontal, no1 would even get the chance to choose base stats. Their gear would reflect any and all stat changes.
@OlivePit Rabbit paws have an approximate 10% drop chance. even with 1000 luck (which is a hard cap), you will still only have about a 20% drop rate. That can very easily become 20 rabbits before you grt a single paw, or getting 5 paws in a row. I killed about 40 rabbits without getting a single paw, at 360 luck, to end up getting 6 paws in the next 10 rabbits. It's all RNGeezus
When using net trap on a horse, it will successfully pin it down... But it will also make it completely untargettable. I was trying to kill a few of them... and yeah... issues...
If you are hunting and see a player prepping to kill you though, they are likely already red. With the system I proposed, even a -1 in karma would have someone be red. This could even be achieved by attacking a player that isn't red, even if said player escapes.
I can understand a karma reset... but maybe a system like passive karma decay could be implemented? spend X amount of time online and your karma will get 1000 closer to zero. If a player REALLY wants to have good karma, after experiencing the consequences of being evil... they can always wait inside a town
@Prometheus Like I promised in the previous comment, I went one step further again. I travelled accross the map again, back home and started a recording to show just how bad it can get if left long enough. It needs to be fixed somehow.
Well, crap... I forgot to record the audio...
I shoulda checked that XD
I closed the game, before I realised... so I just have to explain what I was saying in the video...
First: I followed my mouse along the path I took, heading up to Sea Trolls, from Duath. I stopped the cursor on the forest troll camp, as I was explaining that, at that point, I started looking at my minimap to move around, instead of the screen, coz it was starting to hurt my eyes.
By the time I got to Vandiir, even looking at the mini map, it was starting to hurt my eyes. By the time I got to Direwood Citadel, I wanted to stop, as it was giving me a headache, even just looking at the minimap, coz of the screen jumping in my peripheral vision. I continued to follow the path i took, with my mouse, all the way back to Duath.
On the Task manager and Resource monitor, I was talking about how they compared to the screenshots in the previous post on this thread. Beforehand, task manager CPU would go down to 40% while not having the game open. At that point, it was 60% minimum.
At the end, I was explaining that it is only with movement that there is jumpiness. Everything else is perfectly fine.
I was trying to unequip my armour, into my inventory, while having a bank open... the items would appear briefly in my inventory, but remain on my character. I had to run away form the bank for it to let me take my armour off.
I was wearing full enchanted Sea Troll leather Armour.
