@Benseine inventory is quite limited on Fractured, both in terms of space and total weight you can carry. If you want to move a lot of resources, you need animals, carts and vehicles - they can all go through stargates indeed, so that's the way to go.
As for the duration of stargates, they last for quite a long time, but if you don't make it back before it closes and your time on the other planet runs out... well... you're getting back without the resources
Hi all!
New summons, dynamic quests, emotes⦠and 9 days of FREE PLAY to celebrate their arrival! Welcome to The Hunt!
Cheers!

How big is the world going to be? How much hidden content, which can range from unique encounters to lore tidbits, will the game have?
Does the world grow and change as time goes on? If their are servers will they all be identical or different?
Hi SoSen, so...
@Silynx said in The Hunt Update & Free Week:
Since you're doubling down on summons. Is there a chance you can look into summons related bugs as part of this update? There is plenty of times where summons do not engage in combat, even though they are set to aggressive OR run back to you while there is a valid target.
Casting spells on enemies is also incredibly hard when surrounded by summons. not being able to cast certain healing spells on specific summons is also a problem. Since they often overlap.
Summon move speed is way too slow. Constant need to resummon as you explore because they fell too far behind. This goes for all summons. Some are worse than others but all are bad as far as movement speed goes.
Yes, we are adding some improvements to summons as well, like targeting and behaviors. I should have mentioned it, I've added it to the post.
@Silynx said in The Hunt Update & Free Week:
Most Caster and ranger skills NEED summons to tank or otherwise are not playable in PvE.
Rangers and casters have always been considered the best PvE classes before summons were introduced and their numbers were not changed, so I don't really think we have a problem there Clearly you can't stand still and face-tank a bunch of high-CR mobs as light-armor-wearing wizard or a ranger...
@Silynx said in The Hunt Update & Free Week:
Races are also completely out of wack. some racial abilities are strong, others about useless.
Yeah, we are doing something there too!
Hi @denispeda - since I know Albion myself very well, I can give you an answer as dev. The most important things I can outline:
...and there's a lot more I could mention. Even the graphic style is different. So like... Yeah, it's very different
And with this one...
...we're done. Thanks everybody, the video will be out in a few hours!

Traps are not working as described
I've just tested all traps and they do what they say. Could you explain why you think they are bugged? Thanks!
@darian said in Racial Weapons & Armor?:
I'd approach this by giving different attributes to different types of armor. Not different in the sense that one is straight stronger than the other, but each would favor a different play stile. Let's say beast-men armor will be less encumbering and allow slightly faster movement, human armor would provide slightly better defense and daemon armor gives a small damage buff
That's exactly how it works - although there's no such a thing as "beastman armor" or "human armor" but, as I've said, types of armor that can be more easily produced by different races due to access to recipes and resources
Hi everyone!
The time is approaching for me to host another livestream, and you're scattered all around the globe. Most of you come from America and Europe - quite equally split between the two. We're EU-based, and it's hard to find a good compromise to maximize viewers.
I was wondering then - what's better than a survey? 4 options on the table, please check the ones that work for you (you can vote multiple answers)!
Thank you and see you soon for the next livestream!
Hi all!
New consumables, city crafting orders, artifacts... and a whole additional week of Free Play! Lots of big news in today's announcement!
Enjoy Fractured Online!
@morridin said in Race and Attribute Points:
So humans having no affinity are stuck at the general cap of 18 in all their attributes and thus miss out on getting any of the special bonuses for getting an attribute to 20? Or are there equipment or consumables that can raise attributes? What about buffs or curses? Can they, semi-permanently, effect attributes?
Very nice question - I shall add the answer to the spotlight itself.
All the things you've mentioned can raise attributes, but to get the level 20 bonus, you need a Natural Score of 20. The Natural Score is determined by your base score, plus the points coming from talents. Because yes, each branch of the Talent Tree is linked to an attribute, and always contains talents that when assigned grant a max of +2 in that attribute.
So yes, humans can get to 20 too!
@blyndside said in Two Words On Reporting, Leaderboards & Pre-Alpha. I'm tired.:
Now I don't care what you you continue to do with the leader board- but I can't tolerate bullshit- especially bullshit of this calibre, & I even sense a ban for getting involved but I can already see you enjoy conflict otherwise this thread announcing petty garbage wouldn't exist..
The last thing I enjoy is conflict (besides in-game, in-character conflict) - I dislike that as much as your tone, but I'm an overly tolerant person and I won't give you the pleasure of banning you (yet), which is clearly what you're looking for.
@blyndside said in Two Words On Reporting, Leaderboards & Pre-Alpha. I'm tired.:
People DO NOT enter your pre-alphas to test, they enter to learn as much as they can, so they have a competitive edge over EVERYONE else, as much as possible in your game. They test & absolutely try & break the shit out of everything, and "Share Nothing", this is the key difference- They don't share information that can give themselves an advantage, wither it's a bug, an exploit- doesn't matter, if it is believed that it is not serious enough to get someone banned it will be utilized, this happens all the damn time in MMOs, it's so common it's stupid, but here you're already breeding the atmosphere & it'll be hit 10 fold with it being a "Hardcore" game..
And that is one of the reasons why, if we sense this is someone's attitude, said person won't be included in the pre-alpha, disregarding his/her place in the ranking.
You think it's a widespread mindset? It's not. So far, there are literally 2 or 3 people who could be excluded on this ground (if they don't start behaving) out of the whole TOP 100. The others give positive contributions to this community, and I hope you and your friends will start doing so as well.
@Silynx said in Free Play Extended & Summer Roadmap:
@Prometheus Is there going to be a way for us to convert our current buildings? Do we need to tear them down and rebuild the new ones? How does that work with all the storage built in the current homes?
If you are just applying a skin, you can convert. If it's a different blueprint, you must rebuild.
@Xulu said in Free Play Extended & Summer Roadmap:
@Prometheus Any clue when the larger homes are released if we will be able to place "outside" items on the inside of the home? It's going to suck to own a "palace" that you can't craft in because you don't have enough land.
Yeah, we are going to change the inside/outside rules for some stations
@Thieuke said in Free Play Extended & Summer Roadmap:
About Artifacts, will the suffixes be random or will we be able to choose which ones we put on which piece of equipment?
The recipe you get is random. Each recipe is for a specific item+suffix combination, e.g. Rapier of Wizardry, which you can use to craft the Rapier of Wizardry together with a Legendary Rapier and some materials.
Note that suffixes usually don't couple with all weapon types. The Axe of Wisdom doesn't exist
@jetah said in Race and Attribute Points:
will stats have a cap?
If 50 (random number) is the cap then we can find different routes to it. otherwise we'll just stack 1 or 2 stats for the most benefit.
The cap on the final value of each attribute is 25 - even if you try stacking buffs from spells, potions and all, you can't get above that
And on a side note, even if the cap wasn't there, trust me that it'd be really hard to see characters with 25+ on an attribute. If you have a natural score (basic points + talents) of 20, it's already very unlikely you can reach 25 with temporary bonuses like the aforementioned spells and potions.
Yes, we'll implement 2FA, it's already planned!
Hi all,
the stuttering issues on older PCs are gone... and plenty more. Check out the details of this optimization-focused patch!
Cheers!
@Phaethonas I see there are a lot of questions regarding PvP and the criminal system on the forums these days. It might be a good thing to anticipate the Spotlight on the topic (which is already planned), since I can't reply in just one forum post - the justice system on Syndesia is quite unique!
