RE: Raids
I saw some videos of going to other planets , so would we be able to raid other planets ?
Going to a different planet is different for every race / alignment.
Instead of me writing a long text, with probably some mistakes, just go read the Spotlights in the News section of the homepage. In short... Every race can enter other planets. The most likely event of raiding another planet is demons entering Syndesia. Additionaly to that there is an ecplise, which .@muker talked about, which allows demons to freely enter Syndesia without suffering from debuffs of any kind.

RE: I want a new MMO to play and saw a review on this game.
@shillver said in I want a new MMO to play and saw a review on this game.:
If I go to any website for any game, I can pretty much navigate and figure out what this game is about. This website does not provide that.
I agree that on websites of other games you can find a lot of information "easier", but this game is currently in Pre - Alpha, nobody could care less about how the site is set up for the moment. When you go to it you get a very basic overview and you can then read more in the news section, which should not be hard to find once you realize there is not much else.
@shillver said in I want a new MMO to play and saw a review on this game.:
The wiki is non-existent for mechanics
hm? The wiki is not really a thing yet, because it is community made, but the game does not have players which are allowed to say / publish anything about the game yet.
@shillver said in I want a new MMO to play and saw a review on this game.:
The About -> Company is barebones with no reputable sources or projects ever made
Maybe because this company was created just for this game?
@shillver said in I want a new MMO to play and saw a review on this game.:
The FAQ is completely demoralizing by 'promising' things that it isn't going to be(P2W)
In my opinion the FAQ holds every information you might ask a game about which is in it´s early stages.
Well, I guess a "timeline" somwhere would not hurt, but other than that.@shillver said in I want a new MMO to play and saw a review on this game.:
Both of the Gameplay videos look like ass and show off nothing unique and lack any creativity
Well because they are only there to show the very basics of the game
This game just startet out, what do you expect?@shillver said in I want a new MMO to play and saw a review on this game.:
The screenshots showcase very rustic graphics, like really rustic, like 2006 games graphics. And- I don't usually care for graphics, I'll play 07Scape because it's a good game and the graphics match what I'm doing. But it's a big yikes from me when the game is looking to be a competitor with another game when it's 10 years in the past.
Well it´s a sandbox mmorpg created with Unity, all I expected where similar grafics as Albion Online, and we got that. Exceptional grafics is not what this game is about.
@shillver said in I want a new MMO to play and saw a review on this game.:
It looks like the ONLY thing that has any attention to it is the Leaderboards aka who spent the most money on a product that isn't even in Alpha yet.
Like @Jetah said... The Foundation is a system which rewards people who support the game, not through money, but with time and invenstment.
@shillver said in I want a new MMO to play and saw a review on this game.:
If you're actually serious as a company or dev, you can't be lazy
So... just because the website is not setup the way you would like it to be, the wiki is "not complete" and there are not any gameplay videos about a game that is in Pre - Alpha where the players have singed an NDA and the devs dedicate their time to make the game more enjoyable for peope in the Pre - Alpha / Alpha instead of needlessly investing into things which can be attended at a later date you think they are lazy / this game won´t turn out good? interesting
@shillver said in I want a new MMO to play and saw a review on this game.:
I shouldn't have to do massive research for what looks to be a $20 game. And just by doing so I've learned how this game is going to completely flop- because there are people out there with less time than me to go through the bullshit hoops to find out any mechanics of this game.
Well if you don´t even have time to read some parts of the News... what do you expect? A complete explanation of a game in one hour? What a shallow game would that be?
For me... for a game that is still in development, I am amazed at how much News (information about the game / where the game is heading) there are, which are much easier to find, than some other games which might even already be in beta.

RE: About Angel, Abomination, Karma and Bonuses
@dybuk said in About Angel, Abomination, Karma and Bonuses:
Well, humans with good alignment are not locked in good alignment. They can still change their karma and be either good or bad. Angels are supposed to be always good - unable to change their alignment, therefore maybe they fit better to Arboreus.
Yeah but, we know that Beastmen are the only creatures capable of using the primal power of Elysium (which is contained in the land of Arboreus) and if you go to Arborues with Evil Alignment one thing that happens is:
"If your character has an Evil alignment and you manage to enter Arboreus, well, now you’re in trouble! The planet itself, pervaded by the primal energy of Elysium, immediately starts fighting to repel you."
So I would assume Bestmen are only able to stay on Arborues forever because they are loved from and coexist with nature as well as have the ability to draw out / use the primal power of Elysium. So for me for an Angel to be able to stay on Arboreus forever it would also need this ability, which I don´t see happening
Well if they come up with something else that makes sense, I obviously am not against it, but that is just why I think Angels should not able to stay on Arboreus forever

RE: About Angel, Abomination, Karma and Bonuses
@target said in About Angel, Abomination, Karma and Bonuses:
We know they can stay permanently on Syndesia. Last we heard is that the devs are undecided if they can stay permanently on Arboreus.
Well, even humans with Good Alignment are unable to stay on Arboreus for longer than 24/48 hours, so I think it would not make sense to allow Angels to freely roam on the "only beastmen allowed" planet, but we will see how the devs decide

RE: Will humans be able to change with karma like demons and beastman?
@cinnao said in Will humans be able to change with karma like demons and beastman?:
Humans don't change with Karma. I'm pretty sure you can choose to be a good or bad Lich.
I am pretty sure it was once said that most likely Lichs will be neutral alignment and get bonus an in int (maybe also in Necromancy), while maybe loosing some strength or other attributes. But yeah, when you are neutral you can choose ur playstyle

RE: Will humans be able to change with karma like demons and beastman?
@miikiious said in Will humans be able to change with karma like demons and beastman?:
will there be bonuses or special forms for demons that fulfill thier purpose and go down the road of complete evil.
There is no special form for demons to be evil. Demons are already as evil as can be
@miikiious said in Will humans be able to change with karma like demons and beastman?:
Will being lawful, true or chaotic have any impact on those?
I think we don´t really have info if and how those will have impact on the game.

RE: Is the game playable in the pre alpha and alpha 1?
The Pre - Alpha players have singed a NDA, so the chosen players are not allowed to say anything about it.
The Alpha 1 (currently planned start is end of January) will not be under NDA anymore, so you can expect information / gameplay videos which will answer that question. -

RE: Hello everyone!
Hello and welcome!
@shax said in Hello everyone!:
EDIT: I couldn't find the answer yet, so please tell me if the choice of ones god will make a difference or give me a link if you have an info-page, tanks!
The God you choose does matter! You can get divine quests from the God you whorship (once your favor has risen high enough from offering), which grants you favor to that god and a small Karma change in the direction of the Alignment of the God (aand maybe something else I can´t think of right now). When your favor increases high enough the God will grant you a permanent buff and special skills.
When you are a Demon and aspire to be an angel, I think you also need favor / a specific devine quest from a god. I don´t know if it only is one god, or anyone which has Good Alignment.
I think sometime there was also mentioned, that a Human with favor to a god with Alignment Evil, can get a buff which increases the duration you can stay on Tartaros, but since you are planning on playing a stealthy / assassin style, I assume you will play a Shadow Demon anyways, so this does not matter to you

RE: A New Beastman
@crowdac said in A New Beastman:
We need a Lobster Beastman. They would have a special ability attached to them called Serotonin Berserk. For a period of time they would get a scaling boost to attributes in PVP for every kill, but when death falls upon them their attributes would suffer for a period of time. This ability would be attached to their God who they worship (Jordan the God of Hierarchies). If they choose another God to worship they lose the Serotonin Berserk ability.
Do you mean... the one and only Dr. Jordan B. Peterson?

RE: Weapon upgrading
@target said in Weapon upgrading:
As far as I know enchanting is the only way to "upgrade" your gear, and the scrolls and gems you mention are just different ways to enchant (there are also spells). We don't know if the different ways to enchant stack.
Yeah that´s what I meant, sry if it did not come across correctly. And yeah, forgot about the spells
@chrightt
Well I think to prevent a specific team of players with a specific build to be the best build, I think they need to have different environments for fight spots. Like for every siege, that the environment is somewhat different, that some "not meta" strategy will actually work, just because of the change in terrain. As for the items, I think either making the different materials result in weapons which are only good in specific situations (so you would need a different one for each) or having not just a recipe for a spear but a lot of different recipes for a spear, which will result in spears which are good in different situations. I think we will get to see some of both.
I think this is what they are going for. To get strong in Fractured you need to be able to know as much as possible so you are able to choose the "best" set of equipment and skills for the different situations you will find yourself in. With this knowing your enemy will also be very important.
-
RE: Weapon upgrading
You can´t upgrade your equipment, but there are two ways to enhance it. I think it was enchanting with a scroll and sockeling a gem or something? All three (the part of the equipment, the scroll, the gem) of those need to be crafted.
As for crafting, you will have a recipe (which may have a Attribute Point requirement, something like you need 10 int to craft a staff or something like that). There also are not tiers / quality on crafted gear. Everything is the same quality. You have a recipe and you can craft it with different materials.
So, let´s take a Longsword Recipe as example. You can craft this Longsword with wood, which will result in an wooden longsword. The wooden longsword has some specific stats, which will always be the same when you craft a Longsword with wood. If you craft the Longsword with stone, you will get a stone longsword, with a different specific set of stats (different from the one craftet with wood) , which will not change no matter how often you craft it with stone.
And since you mentioned lvl in your questions... there will be no lv system in Fractured. Not for your character and not for crafting and stuff. I guess the only thing you could see as "levels" is the three "levels" a skill can have.
