RE: Hello all!
@FlowwolF said in Hello all!:
is there any place here for those of us who want to test but don't want to pay anything?
Everyone is just saying hello and not answering your question LOL
Hey
Apart from the Pre - Alpha (which is currently running and will end shortly) there, for now, is no further testing phase planned where people can play for free.
I guess you can hope for some giveaways done by Dynamight Studios itself or some streamers in the future, but other than that ( as it currently stands ) you have to pay to play.

RE: Neutral demons able to stay on Syndesia indefinitely?
@Meiki said in Neutral demons able to stay on Syndesia indefinitely?:
@Eurav Well as for me, if Abominations are to be treated as demons gameplay wise, angels should be treated as beastfolk, as what would be the point of redeeming oneself if not to be accepted by Elysium again?
Well Abominations get treated "like demons" becasue they "share the same alignment". I think there might be a few exceptions where Abominations get treated worse than a Human with evil alignment, but not sure there (I am not really well informed in that area (abomintaions in general)
). Now a Human with Good Alignment is only allowed to stay limited time on Arboreus, so why would you allow Angels to stay "forever"?
There are a few points one can make, which I understand, that Angels are "better" than Humans with Good Alignment, but I like to get back to the lore there, where it kind of says Beastmen are only allowed to stay on Arboreus because they are accepet by the primal energy.
In the end we will need to wait on how the devs decide, but seeing with how everything makes decent sense up to know I think we can expect them to make a reasonable descision and shape the lore according to that (e.g. somehow explaining that the Angels as well can use the primal energy on Arboreus which allows them to stay there)
The only kinda downside I see is Angels being able to freely access Syndesia and Arboreus (allowing them to freely access the resources of 2 planets and so on...), which might be fine because one has to go through a lot to achieve that, but Abominations don´t really have any advantage like that.

What about going to Arboreus?
We don´t really know yet, but I think we can assume that if Angels can´t "forever" stay on Arboreus they will at least be able to stay longer than a Human with Good Alignment (which is according to current info 20 / 40 real time hours).

RE: Elusive - Casual Beastman Guild
@Pwnstar said in Elusive - Casual Beastman Guild:
Because different races have different racial bonuses and abilities. If you want the Beastmen ones, play them. If you want the Angel ones, play those.
Humans would be broken then. Having an immense advantage over the other races (and if they would then balance out Humans and Demons, would only lead to Beastmen being even more unnessecary).
You can´t just... make a race have a certain gemplay aspect, and then make another race which has the same gameplay aspect + another gameplay aspect and some more. Apart from roleplay freaks everybody who is sane would choose a Human over a Beastmen then. It would make Humans too strong.Also...
In the first Feature Spotlight it says that they don´t want races to just give you different stats /bonis / abilities / whatever and maybe put you into different fractions who fight against each other. They want each race to offer a different gameplay aspect, and with allowing Humans to permanently stay on Arboreus this would not hold true anymore. Aaand as already said it would not make sense with the current lore as well.Well, I will stop after this, since this is not the Thread for this. If you want to continue please go ahead and open up a new Thread in General Discussions.

@Pwnstar said in Elusive - Casual Beastman Guild:
Having the game do that to evil characters makes sense but not for Good alignment. I bet it doesn't survive the beta phase.
The point of the three worlds is to accommodate three styles of playing. PvE, regulated PVP and unregulated PVP.Good Aligned Demons are probably looking to turn into Angels, and I think for Angels they are not sure wether they will permanently be able to stay on Arboreus or not.
As for Good Aligned Humans... Humans are the reason for The Fracture (destruction of Elysium into the three planets) and Beastmen are a very nature loving race who are the only ones able to access the primal energy on Arboreus, which was left from Elysium. The reason Beastmen are able to stay on Arborues forever is because they are loved from nature and the primal energy.
Since Humans are the reason for the destruction of Elysium and can´t access primal energy, I don´t see a reason why they should be allowed to stay on Arboreus without limitations.@Pwnstar said in Elusive - Casual Beastman Guild:
Forcing a PvE player to leave Arboreus makes zero sense.
If you are a PvE player you play a Beastmen.
The three planets are for three playstyles and intervening between the planets is not a regular every day thing. The most likely is a Demon comin to Syndesia. A Human won´t be comin to Arboreus just to do so some PvE
If you allow Humans to stay forever on Arborues, who needs Beastmen? If a Human can freely access the resources of Arboreus, and you can do the PvE on Arboreus without limitations as well as on Syndesia (and the PvP on Syndesia), why would anyone play a Beastmen?
If you allow a Human to stay on Arboreus forever, you can just make a Human to live there. Beastmen would then just be a different race (with its race bonis yeah yeah) but with less gameplay versatility. -
RE: Crafted Items / Unidentified Items

since Fractured is promoted as a dynamic MMO, I'm hoping that down the line devs will implement something that will make knowledge gathering a bit... well dynamic.
So that knowledge points aren't always found on same spots, thus guides will be circumstantial at best. In this way new players would still have to explore and search to find knowledge, instead of just following guides on the web.My point is, if you can trim it down to a few neccessary skills for a successfuly "mage build" or whatever, you won´t need a lot of konwledge points to learn them. You also won´t need to look for them (how to discover them), unless they make it that everyone needs to do something else to acquire the same skill, which I don´t see happening.
Well yeah, one can still go around and explore everything even as a new player, depens on the player then I guess

depends if we find a "good" set for 90% of the game.
Ye it depends on how balanced everything is and how much strategy and environment actually matter.
It is the approach the develeopers are going for, so all we can do is hope they implement it well enough so that many different builds can all be metaWell with ~ 400? skills it will take a while to find the best builds anyways. A lot of exploring to be done before one can get there (finding the best build). A big problem I can see is if then after a few months / a year all those "guides to the best mage build" show up and the newer players probably won´t be able to enjoy the same fun

RE: Suggestion: Secondary Learning stat
Adding to what @Dybuk already said...
It depends on what you want ur character to bed good at. If you are interested in spell casting (of magic schools) set int to ten, if you want ur character to be good at spell casting (of magic schools) set it higher.
If you don´t care at all about them magic schools, just put it down to six.
The slower learning then won´t really matter because you will have a lot less skills to learn which matter to you (because while there are a lot of magic schools there is only ~1 for every "physical class" (ranger, rogue, tank, bersi....). You will then gladly take a bit more dmg / crit / evasion / defense instead of that increased learning speed
E.g. if you want to go into the hand combat school the main stats are dex and str; now if you want ur character to actually be a bit versatile you then have two choices
- go with int and add some spells to ur only good at hand combat character
- go with some other stat which will enable you to have bonis in other schools as well; e.g. take perception for the assassionation and marksman schools (dex and perception)
Compared to int perception will then increase ur crit, which will help you with ur hand combat style, as well as some other benefits.
It all depends on what you want your character to be good at

RE: Crafted Items / Unidentified Items
@Jetah said in Crafted Items / Unidentified Items:
and what thing special will that raid crafting material provide if it doesn't provide better stats?
I'm just seeing many players getting to a point of being bored without a [small] gear grind. Sure we'll lose gear but there should be something that's better than what everyone is wearing which should be crafted, imo.Well every material will give different stats to the weapon / armor you craft which can give you an advantage. Finding and crafting the gear you need for ur playstyle and the environment you are going to use it in, as well as the strategies you are going for will end up with you being in need to find and test out a lot of different gear / strategies / builds. So if you want a "gear grind" I guess you can see that as it

RE: Crafted Items / Unidentified Items
@Jetah said in Crafted Items / Unidentified Items:
they'll have to have a small tier system of gear. otherwise what's the point of their pve raids. Tiers could exist, however, they don't have to be excessive in power. the difference between the rare and basic could be 15% (example). basic 0%, common 5%, uncommon 10%, rare 15%.
They already said gears won´t have a tier system...
What do you even mean with pve raids? Labyrinth? They just need to make a rare material be able to be obtained from there and problem solved... Or make it a need to go there for some skills... Or something else...
Fractured opens up a lot of other reasons, which are not obtaining better gear, to go into a dungeon / raid / whatever.

hey there, yeah it doesn't ruin anything there's no need for QL to have the name associated, just like I suggested when I started this topic.
Ye ye, just wanted to mention that fact. Not that people go deeper into that specific topic, when it is not even a possbility
@telmiwhy said in Crafted Items / Unidentified Items:
but my main suggestion was passing some sort of personalization to the trading.
What do you mean "personalization to the trading"? That people can say, oh the person that craftet this is from the guild I don´t like, so I won´t buy stuff from him?

RE: Is there any way to get a Pre-Alpha Key now?
No, there is no way for you to enter the Pre - Alpha, which will end with this month.

makes it more special having your name as the crafter if you achieve the highest quality possible
sorry to ruin your fun, but there is no quality / tier system or anything like that in crafting. Everything has "the same quality"
