Yep, kind of weird, especially since in the last few days there were a lot more active people on the forums (thanks to the alpha2 testing) than 2-3 weeks ago.
-
Grats to all.
-
Grats boys and girls!
-
Lovely, thanks ! And grats to the others
-
Congrats to all the lucky ones!
-
@Razvan This the drawing from January 22th to Jan 29th, not this week. We'll have a lot more winners for this week.
@Jetah There's no bot. I manually add people to the drawing.
-
@Specter
Pardon me, I just happened to have a tinfoil nearby the desk. :))
-
Thanks all keep posting the good stuff

Are you doing this intentionally? It seems like you could save yourself a lot of work and potential stress. (No offense intended, I'm just curious for the motivation)

Its probably so entries like "hi" "welcome" and "grats" arent included, but only somewhat constructive entries.
And AI cant really determine the difference between a constructive post and "insert random 30 characters in message".
I do agree this gives Specter much more work.

easiest would be just a character and word count minimum. so that a single 'hi' or similar wouldn't be added (or the whole daily post thread could be excluded).

This is indeed why it's done manually. It's not that much work though, I have to moderate the forum anyway.

What you should do though is crawl the forum, prepare a list with certain minimal criteria, then display the list of people with the posting that got the people on the list.
That way, you can easily and by a single glance exclude 'non constructive postings' and your workload is reduced drastically from at least an hour down to maybe 60 seconds each week.
Yes, you have to moderate the forum anyway, but that's vastly different from compiling a complete list of all people posting each week ^^
Then again, it's your time! I'm the last one to tell you how to spend it

Congrats to all! Nice to see the activity around here lately.

congrats to the winners ^^
