Post Kickstarter Funding is Going Well
-
I've been watching the funding total since the Devs posted the tracker. https://fracturedmmo.com/funding/
The project has done really well considering the game is still very much under that radar. Kickstarter ended at €111,662 (USD $126,652.62). Fractured now stands at 128,457 € ($145,702.35 USD). If my math is correct, that's a 15% increase since Kickstarter.
That bodes well for some extra funding once pre-Alpha starts and maybe some gameplay starts to make it's rounds.
We're really close to the next stretch goal (Labyrinth Level II at 130k). I wan't to hit Enhanced Character Creation badly!
Keep going Dynamight Studios!
-
Yeah not bad at all. I hope as time goes on it picks up a bit more steam. Would love to get to that fishing goal =).
-
Ye the game is performing well under that point of view and I'm really excited to see it going! I know that is still far away but I hope we could have Taming implemented.
It'll be so nice to going around searching for rare animals, both as mounts and companions during our adventures.Keep spreading words about Fractured even further!
-
hmm, not bad, not bad at all.
-
Very cool.
-
I'd wager that the real influx is going to come shortly after the first alpha 1 videos become public, followed by another low and then a high around the start of beta 2.
But as long as they aren't relying on the Kickstarter funding, that's less of an issue anyway.
-
@logain agreed. as long as we continue to get some income stream in, the better I'll feel about the game's continued existence. we've slipped a bit on our milestones (worrisome), but the extra 10k means we're still afloat, balance sheet-wise, especially on a goal like Lab lv2 - no new systems to build, for example - just some set piece design, and maybe a tweak to the build algorithm from the 1st level.
-
@lightspoon yes, more exploration to do
-
Agreed. Word is spreading well while little video content is out. I think we missed opportunities on those long Q&A videos but I'm hopeful things will improve as we get closer to closed testing.
-
@vortech At the time of the Q&A there was not so known. Also while there is so little gameplay material to be show, it will be difficult to bring in new players.
I think that when the Alpha 1 will start Fractured will grow even faster.
-
Huh. Kinda surprised it's going up as fast as it is. Considering they haven't really pushed for much in the way of advertising or showing off a whole lot yet. Betting it'll really pick up steam once they have something really neat to let people see.
-
Good job , character creation would be a nice target to hit
-
Hopefully we get something new to share soon, preferably a video. The community can help out a lot by spreading the word and luring more people in but it's way easier if there's something good to show!

I'd rather they focus on getting a 'decent' Alpha 1 build (after the Pre-Alpha, which is less important due to NDA), because that content is going to be critical as it will be streamed. And first impression are rather important on this market, so while make pressure on releasing pre-alpha, take your time releasing Alpha 1.
-
Is Alpha 1 content under NDA ?
-
@j4po Pre-alpha is, but I'm pretty sure alpha 1 isn't.
-
@j4po Nope, only the pre-alpha is.
-
Yeah I also noticed that a lot of people have either taken notice of the game and it is quite impressive to see more backing after the initial kickstarter that, I guess really went well all on its own.
-
@mrchipps Well on our way to Enhanced Character Creation stretch goal!
-
@Solaris Yeah, that would really be awesome to have a more options with character customization. It becomes pretty standard in other games, but it can still make a difference about your immersion in the game.
I'm looking forward to reaching beast taming
