@Prometheus If I understand this right, you want us to have a diverse diet so we can't just farm 1 crop?
-
@TrueCrimsonFTW The farming system is amazing. VERY realistic in comparison with most games I've played. I love planning crop rotations at home so this will be fun to help my guild do.
I couldn't be jazzed-er.
Gonna have my earplugs ready, tho, for the folks who don't like the brand new health mechanic. I know players are like Episcopalians - every change is a tragedy and a travesty for so many of them. Then they get used to it and the world keeps turning.
-
@PeachMcD But did I understand the video correctly?
-
Nice video, but farming is boring.
Better to steal food from nearby cities
-
@Gothix but at least is made crop nodes useful.
-
@Gothix yes brother let's goo robin hood that shit
-
What is boring for some is the bread and butter of other players.
I find PvP boring and irritating at best, many others revel in PvP play.
I like Skilling and practicing magic, whether it's magical combat, or sitting for hours enchanting, I can sink my teeth into either. Some want to go snipe others in PvP while others want to handle raid after raid after raid, and still others are quest junkies and want to complete every quest they come across.Best thing about Fractured is that it's trying to provide a game for several tastes out there.
-
I mean it takes a community to make a town thrive.
-
By far the BEST improvements yet!!!! I am totally eager to play this alpha test when I had already promised myself to skip it after that last test which was a completely downer for me. The changes made to this test however, have definitely stirred my interests and now I can't wait to play!
Great job with that! and I am totally loving the complexity of the farming system!
Also, is it just me.. or does it look like they improved upon the graphics as well???
-
@Ostaff So you lied to yourself
-
i do not like the change to the memorize in campfires, it will make you choose a single set for all the trip and you lose most of the flexibility you had before.
i you find different camps of monsters, you can't change.
-
@grofire There is probably a way to change later in game. It might have been miss said.
-
@TrueCrimsonFTW it wasn't the impression i got.
-
@grofire keep in mind this is alpha, so small baby steps.
-
Yeah, quite sure that one will piss a lot of people off. I kinda like it though.. cause it makes you be aware of what your end destination is and therefore pre-planning instead of impulsive planning.
But, yes, for those that are used to that system... they will definitely be mad.
Also, when they add temples and etc to the game.. they will probably allow you to change at those locations as well, which will increase the spots that you can change at, but still keep it from being willy nilly change anywhere.
-
@Ostaff what if i just want to explore and i have no end point ?
-
Exploration skill set! I tend to use Frenzy, Relocate, Second Wind, Bandages, Mage Armor, and a couple of offensive spells for my exploration skill set.
I do agree that this will definitely make things more tedious when we have to actually go all the way to a city to apply our new recently learned abilities.
-
I'm loving the Farming System!
One question though, does the initial fertility of the plot vary depending on where you specifically place it?
For example, if there's a patch of land thats green and covered with grass vs a spot with none, will it hold a higher fertility level from the start?
-
@Bhan I imagine it is more node based.
