@Oxfurd Bards, Bartender, Jugglers, Circus artists, Girls and Boys of pleasure...
We will need all that to create a realistic Tavern Life
-
@Oxfurd Well we know this much:
MUSICIANSHIP
The school of Musicianship encompasses several abilities that can infuse a hint of magic into songs and plays to dramatically increase the impact music has on the souls of the listeners.
Bards and minstrels using Musicianship can manipulate the emotions of other people triggering their most basic, animal feelings. Their music can influence any living creature able to hear the performance, but the effect usually doesnβt last for long β when the music stops, any affected being soon snaps out of the enchantment. Some Musicianship techniques even allow for the compression of mana into sound waves able to damage the creatures they collide with β a far less pleasant kind of tune. The power of most abilities belonging to this school depends on the Charisma of the bard.I like the approach that Bard can be used offensive and as an debuffer as well. I presume that on top of that Bard can be used traditionally to support/buff allies.

I would love to see Bard especially if we can make our own music

I have a strong feeling new Archetypes are on the design boards, just not implemented yet. Mayhaps a Bard, an Artificer, a Crafter, etc... might be in our future. The Bard has always been my favorite archetype really, even when it was deucedly hard to pull off, like in 1st Edition AD&D

Quick, hide behind the bodies of dead bards for cover!'
-
Hey! That's my bard! Get your own bard to hide behind! There are LOTS of corpses to hide behind!
-
I guess bards will be like in Monty Python:
-
A bard could have a skill to carry guild banners in combat, boosting moral of nearby troops giving them some bonuses.
He could also give debuffs to nearby enemy troops with different song.
But for things to make sense he would only be able to play one song at once, so he wouldnt be able to stack buffs and debuffs as he likes but they would be dependant on current song.
Songs would be created by devs.
Optionally creating own song (just music not buffs) could be purchased feature. When purchased you could upload your song onto dev control and they import it to you if they see it as good enoigh for game. So basically you are paying for game support staffs time to quality control your creation before its implemented (prevention of trolling and general game deterioratio due to poorly designed player creations).
The same could be implemented for custom player skins and banners.

Bards are so under rated. I thought I was the only person that gets on games and be like, "Wtf no bard spec!?". Bards are just fun!
