The Myr Trivia - Guess & Win Foundation Points!
-
Hi everyone!
We've just completed the first generation of Myr, the continent Syndesia featured in Alpha 1 - Test 1! That's just the first iteration, and it's missing some key elements such as coast biomes, Heartwood and the Vale, but it's a major milestone nonetheless!
To celebrate, let's have a trivia game about Myr. Post your guesses to the following questions:
- The total amount of resource nodes in the continent. They include trees, plants, rocks, stone deposits, mineral deposits, and so on. Prize: 1,000 foundation points.
- The total amount of decorative elements in the continent. They include patches of grass, decorative bushes and trees, decorative stones, and similar. Prize: 1,000 foundation points.
- The total amount of monsters spawners in the continent. They can spawn more than one creature each (usually 2-3). Prize: 1,000 foundation points.
- How many hours it takes our tools to procedurally generate the continent. Prize: 200 foundation points.
Prizes will be assigned to everyone who guesses the right number (or to the person who gets closest to it if no one does) ---> in the next 24 hours <---.
Need help guessing? Consider that...
- Myr is about 57 km2 wide (about 22 sq mi).
- In the latest update you can find many screenshots of the game from which you may guess what the density of elements is.
You're free to discuss your guesses in this thread, but please make your answers obvious and don't post them more than once.
A note. don't worry about pre-alpha testers, they don't really have an advantage since the distribution of resource nodes and creatures in this new version is quite different from the one they're playing on. Let the screenshots talk!
Enjoy!

I was never good at quessing, so here goes nothing:
Resource nodes in the continent: 3 352 941
Decorative elements in the continent: 41 895 327
Monster spawners in the continent: 240 852
How many hours it took to generate the continent: 29So these are my wild guesses. Sorry if I went too wild with them

Wow ok so each and every one of these depends on vastly different things so the guesses really are gonna be WILD but let's see~
The first one would have to be dictated by what one of you game creators would deem responsible resource availability so it might be the hardest one to guess sooo let's be boring and say around bit more than 100 per km2 so resource nodes - 6023
Decoration has to be thick enough to be vibrant but thin enough so your character trips over so let's say decorative elements - 85 069
For monsters whatever i'm gonna answer it's probably gonna be a total fluke ( remember what happened with the spawns in ultima online, anyone?....yeah....) monster spawners - 2177
And for the last one how the hell am i gonna oracle how good the dynamight studio PC's are - by no logical thinking whatsoever generation hours - 8hrs32mins ( this one could also be 12 seconds totals if you all have the newest threadripper processors )
Cheers boys.
