That will no doubt happen considering how small the first wave is going to be. Will we give an announcement when it starts? Probably, considering the fact we can't keep it a secret anyway due to the public post/thread counter on the pre-alpha subforum.

With that said, I strongly urge everyone to tone down their expectations because quite frankly a lot of people here are making it sound like the pre-alpha is going to be a demo with lots of content to play. in reality the pre-alpha is mainly aimed at testing things like performance, not features. It's the alpha test for alpha 1.

@Tempest Yes, the store is down to add new additions. More news on that very soon.

Fractured will certainly have group content for PvE players. We already know there will be world bosses and Arboreus will have the most PvE events to make up for the lack of PvP.

Well, I can give you an update on a few things:

• The devs went to Milan Games Week earlier this week and showcased Fractured there. (Hence the influx of Italian members on the forum over the last few days.)
• I have no update on the porting but a week ago Prometheus told me it was almost done, so it's probably done by now or very close to done.
• Znirf is currently on vacation, hence the lack of content pills and answers from him.
• I have no update on the test weekends but I've asked Prometheus for an update.

@egonaraujo There are no eclipses on Arboreus.

PvP is possible but very limited. Evil players who travel to Arboreus can only stay for 30 minutes or so and a good part of Arboreus is completely safe.

@Chapex @Ostaff I've invited both of you manually to the groups you're missing and I shall notify Prometheus that the system that grants those titles automatically, is broken.

Just a heads up, we admins can teleport players when they're stuck so if you need help, please post here and we'll come to rescue you as soon as possible.

Disclaimer: Abuse of teleports can result in very unorthodox punishments. For more information, ask @twitchjackyace how he got his unique forum title.

@DevilsDog Nope, they're still using SpatialOS.

Prometheus has assured me it's normal for tech startups to lose money for years so he's not worried. Keep in mind Improbable has very big investors backing them.

@HannielK The devs aren't running around with lawyers. The Unity/Improbable issue wasn't their fight.

10. Is VIP membership "Pay to Win"?

Fractured characters are already competitive from day 1. The core of progression afterwards consists of completing tasks requiring you to travel and perform a wide range of exploration- and experimentation-related activities.

The bonuses from VIP membership have nothing to do with the above, since they only impact the passive “studying phase” that kicks in once the tasks have been completed. Moreover, they've been balanced so that they only speed up progression for "completionists" who want to learn a ton of abilities (beyond what's actually useful for each character). Because of this, VIP membership ultimately has no impact on actual PvP competition, not between individuals nor between guilds.
