RE: Tanning Tubs Are a Disaster
@Wennid said in Tanning Tubs Are a Disaster:
If the tanning process is only going to be available in towns, then maybe a Tanner NPC is a better interface than allowing players direct access to tanning tubs or whatever.
You bring your hides to the Tanner, who notes them in his ledger (server-side database just like the tanning tubs slots, but not directly accessible to players), then 16 hours later you can pick up your leather.
Maybe it could be possible to rob the Tanner's shop somehow if there really needs to be a way for players to do "the wrong thing".This would actually be a pretty cool mechanic. Could have it so the NPC has to be paid in gold (another city upkeep mechanic) and only has as many slots as tanning tub slots so the tubs still need to be created; the NPC is just watching over them.

Heavy Blow tooltip error
The tooltip for Heavy Blow says it works for a Heavy Melee weapon, although it works with a Primitive Mace which is a Light Melee weapon.

RE: Not enough slots
It's by design so you have to be more "strategic" when choosing your skills.

@Hathos said in Evasion is currently useless in its current state:
@asspirin I was going off https://fractured.gamepedia.com/Critical_Chance where it says "Critical strikes cannot be evaded."
My guess is they have an attack table something like:
Is it a miss?
Did defender evade?
Did defender block?
Is it a crit?
normal hitSo if crit check is after evade check, it would make sense crits can't be evaded.

-Fleshing post is unable to be placed in city (Barter town 282W 2919N). but can be placed outside of city (https://i.gyazo.com/f7ea97c9f19cef8a61c28e49110f2be6.mp4)That's weird... have one right next to my town hall, but not sure if it was placed there before or after the hall was finished.
Checked and I can place a fleshing beam, but now I can't place a campfire anywhere in my town. It turns blue, but won't let me place it. Likely related to your issue.

RE: Race cohabitation in player cities?
@Specter said in Race cohabitation in player cities?:
@kellewic Demons can't become good until they've actually transformed into an Angel. Beastmen can stay permanently on Syndesia I believe and do have a period where they aren't an abomination yet but also can't go back to Arboreus. But that's all very old information. I have no idea what the current plan is.
Will be interesting to see where it leads since only evil-aligned can have Babilis as a god and non-evil creatures lose karma on Tartaros. Will be a hard path for those Demons to Angels then once they hit neutral karma. Maybe Prometheus will take pity on them and let them stay on Syndesia
I know some of this might change and it's based on years old info. I'm just always interested in the mechanics is why I asking.

RE: Race cohabitation in player cities?
@Specter said in Race cohabitation in player cities?:
@kellewic A neutral demon or beastman doesn't get exiled from its home planet until they've become an angel or abomination.
Does that mean that Arboreus allows evil Beastmen (but not fully an Abomination) and Tartaros good Demons (not fully angels)?
Seems an evil, but not fully Abomination, Beastman would be attacked by Arboreus like other evil-aligned players and a good Demon would lose karma on Tartaros like other good-aligned players.
I'm not sure it was ever mentioned at what positive/negative karma the switch occurs, but I would guess at the extreme ends.

@Specter said in Race cohabitation in player cities?:
Keep in mind you can't live in a city if you can't stay permanently on that planet. So a demon for example wouldn't be able to be member of a town on Syndesia.
What do Neutral demons do then or are they just homeless on their way to becoming an Angel?

RE: [FRAC-2045] Bank Floor size is too big during building
Yep, same issue... just placed a cart full of stuff even further away than that and can't access it now since the foundation overlay is preventing it. Every time I try to grab the cart, I get "You have nothing to add to this" which is the message for clicking the foundation with no relevant materiels.

RE: Race cohabitation in player cities?
Yeah, anything can change as the game is developed
It did used to be one house per character, but I think changed due to how karma can change and if you start as either Demon or Beastman, build a house on your planet and then change alignment enough to be exiled from your planet; you'd be out of luck.
Since structures decay, eventually the house built on your original planet would disappear back into an unclaimed plot if not maintained.
I suppose under the current restrictions, one character could have 2 houses depending on their alignment. Beastmen, for example, could live on Syndesia, but they would lose their racial abilities while there.

No, not unless it's one of those "Angel - Beast-Kin" or "Demon - Abomination" thing.
You can't live in other planets, only visit them so by that logic, you wouldn't be able to cohabit with other races.
However you did raised a pretty good point as there are things called "Asteroids" in which sort of acts like another planet that players can visit. If these mechanics are open to all races, then it would be interesting how it'll pan out for house/base building as claiming a plot would be possible in Asteroids.
You can have one house per planet per account depending on your alignment. It stands to reason there would be multi-race cities.
If you start as a Beastman (or Demon) and change your alignment to Neutral (on your way to Abomination/Angel), the only possible place you can live is Syndesia. Evil humans (or any evil character like Abomination) can live on Tartaros. Angels are a bit weird in that it was never decided if they can live on Arboreus, but they can live on Syndesia.
Per account or per character? cause from my understanding if you're not native to a certain planet, you cant stay long in it. I don't see how a non-x race would be able to cohab with another race if they cant live in the same planet?
Last I saw it was per account per planet.
The ability to stay on a planet is alignment-based, not race-based since karma can change.
A Beastman on Syndesia can change their alignment to be Neutral which allows them to commit criminal actions, but if they lower karma too much they can't change it back to Good and will not be able to go back to Arboreus (i.e. on the way to being an Abomination).
For Demons it's a bit harder to get to Neutral, but the same applies.
Arboreus is the more complicated planet in that even Good-aligned, non-Beastmen players cannot stay permanently. There was some discussion a while back about allowing Angels to live there permanently.

RE: Intelligence - What is the bonus?
@Tisi said in Intelligence - What is the bonus?:
I got a quick question regarding the intelligence attribute bonus:
In Feature Spotligh #5 it says the following: "Reaching an Intelligence score of 20 gives the character a significant boost to Mana regeneration."
However on the wiki the bonus for reaching at least 20 intelligence is listed as affecting willpower, not mana regeneration. Is the wiki wrong there or was it changed since the spotlight came out?
edit: same thing with Constitution and life regen from the looks of it. According to the wiki Constitution grants its bonus towards fortitude...
The wiki is correct.

@asspirin @Yitra @Oxfurd the video was probably made mixing actual in-game data with info taken from this old feature spotlight. There are a few incorrect things in it indeed.
Our wiki editors will get all the actual design data and put them on the wiki soon!
All the actual formulas are on the wiki now. I know we posted about it in Discord, but not sure about here.
Recently, we included all formulas related to each attribute on the attribute pages to reduce the amount of clicking to find the information. Each game mechanic page like Attack Speed have expanded information if any is available.

@Wika said in Adding Fast Travel Planet to Planet... Your Opinion Matters!:
@SakuTheMedic Agree with making it resource/gold/etc.. dependent. Will take effort to utilize to travel. My biggest concern is for the siege aspect. I am fearful of one and done if you die during a siege if attacking from one planet to the next due to travel time if gates are only temporary.
you can't really siege on planets iirc.
To siege a city/town is to take control of their city.
Demons cannot stay long in the human world, in the same sense that Humans cannot remain in the Demon world or Aboreous for long. You can't even enter arboreous if you're Evil aligned.Evil-aligned players can enter Arboreus; they're just severely debuffed and can only remain for 30 minutes. There are "good only" zones of Arboreus (well, most of the planet) that they can't really enter.
