Since the lasted 1 or 2 patches I noticed this reverted as well. Today I chopped down a lot of trees and it seemed every other tree logs would get stuck with no way to free them. When the test started, if you ran through them they'd dislodge but that seems to not be the case any more.

RE: Handcart and building permissions question
Did a lot of testing with @ladyrowan this morning on this on my plot.
Here are the general rules I found based on the tests below.
-
I can always delete the cart no matter how many materials I put in and regardless of if I do the final build.
-
Whoever puts 75% (9 out of 12) of the materials in they own it regardless of who does the final build. An exception is if the person that committed 75% of the materials logs off then logs back in (including exiting the game) and someone else finishes the cart that person owns it.
Tests done
If I put 0/12 materials in; other person finishes it; they own it; I can't use it.
If I put 1/12 materials in; other person finishes it; they own it; I can't use it.
If I put 4/12 materials in; other person finishes it; they own it; I can't use it.
If I put 6/12 materials in; other person owns it regardless of who builds it; I can't use it.
If I put 7/12 materials in, other person owns it regardless of who builds it; I can't use it.
If I put 8/12 materials in, other person owns it regardless of who builds it; I can't use it.
If I put 9/12 materials in and build it; I own it; other person can't use it.
If I put 11/12 materials in regardless of who builds it, I own it; other person can't use it.
If they put 9/12 materials in; exit game and log back in; I finish it; I own it.
If they put 9/12 materials in; log out and back in; I finish it; I own it.
If I put 9/12 materials in; log out then back in; they finish it; they own it; I can't use it.
If I put 9/12 materials in; exit game and log back in; they finish it; they own it; I can't use it.Also tested with Small Chest and Milling Station - I owned those regardless of materials put in or who finishes build.

RE: Do you need to go over 100% to finish creatures?
I want to add to this that I was just killing goblins and watching the knowledge gain after every kill. Goblin Enforcer unlocks Enrage at 60%, but there's no indication like a message on screen or the arrows when you open the book until the next kill at 63%.

@Xzait forgot to mention that, added!
Did all the patch numbers change or am I going crazy. Were they 2.3.3x before?

RE: Focus ability exclusions and wording (feedback/wording UI bug)
@th3mistocles Something I noticed as well is those (%) numbers next to the values are wrong according to the game mechanics formulas. While the numbers range from +/- 1000, the percentages are supposed to range +/- 80% but the sheet only shows 74% at 1000 resistance. Not sure if it's a visual bug or a calculation one (or the formula changed since the test started).
Fire/Ice/Shock at 92 value should be 26.90%
Poison should be 80%
Magic at 272 should be 52.11%
Acid at 24 should be 8.76%
Armor at 204 should be 44.93%These conversions all follow the same formula of:
% = (0.004 * VALUE) / (1 + |0.004 * VALUE|)
I had posted about some stats not matching calculations in another thread, but have yet to hear back on why it's the case.

RE: Handcart and building permissions question
@Zori said in Handcart and building permissions question:
I kinda wish you can have control over it, or at least change its permission.
That way friends/guildmates can move it or help you load and unload. It's also quite bothersome to see random carts everywhere, or unfinished carts being left in the middle of nowhere.
Yeah, agree. They should be treated like chests in that regard since they're basically just draggable storage. Thinking about it, I believe it's the only thing in my house a co-owner can't use or access.

RE: [FRAC-2098] Shield weight 0 kg
Beat me to it
Noticed it this morning too when I was updating wiki stuff.

RE: Anyone figured out what does luck / charisma affects exactly?
@Razvan the formula is
delta = Chance - Chance ^ (1 + Luck/1000)
might be a little hard to see it's an exponent but it is superscript to Chance.
-
RE: Overloading, no use of chests or tanning tubs
Just saw this happen to @Ladyrowan - she was over 200% encumbered standing between 2 chests to transfer stuff and then couldn't open anything until she logged out and back in.

@Harleyyelrah @Gothix Yes, that is doable. Will work on it.
Was going to do it later today, but decided to just do it now
Can find the new links under BASICS heading. This also made me realize we need to work on the Items/Equipment pages.

RE: Looking for Wiki feedback
@Alexian said in Looking for Wiki feedback:
@kellewic Question. I love the Wiki but haven't checked it in months; does it reflect the information conveyed by Prometheus in his recent Q&As with Oxfurd or his forum posts?
Not usually since most of what is talked about is future state of the game which can (and many times does) change by the time it gets added or there's just not enough information to really do anything with. An example from the last Q&A I think it was is siege weapons. We know there will be a few types, but that's about it. No real information on the mechanics, what it takes to build one, how/where they can be placed, what time frame sieges happen, etc.
Some information from Prometheus' Q&As and forum posts make it to the wiki especially if they clear up any confusion on game mechanics. I stalk him pretty regularly on the forums as well as Specter
Mostly though, the information on the wiki comes from the few of us maintaining it going into game during tests and validating and finding new items, creatures, blueprints, skills, etc. since we don't know what changes from test to test.
In a few cases we receive information/clarification from Prometheus/Specter but it's not common and that has been limited to game mechanics formulas recently put on the wiki. I think many people had questions on how that stuff worked so we got it out on the wiki to hopefully answer those questions.

Looking for Wiki feedback
First, in case anyone doesn't know, the wiki is at https://fractured.gamepedia.com/ (also linked on Fractured site under Community -> Wiki).
I'm asking since I see many questions in forum and in game where the answer is on the wiki. It makes me wonder if people know about it and if so, is it too hard to find information.
I'm looking for feedback such as:
- Did you know it even existed?
- Is it easy to find things?
- Does the layout make sense?
- Is there anything missing that could make it better?
Specific examples would be welcomed.

RE: Player Professions and possible implementation idea
Not sure if they've changed their minds, but it was supposed to be that you had to learn crafting recipes through knowledge gain and that crafters had "skill" which would allow a higher skilled crafter to create somewhat better items.
-
RE: Dead wood bow
I think the point is, why even make it an option to build a bow from a wood that has no use for a bow (same for any other item).
-
RE: Window with carts resources.
@catraccoon Agree on this one. So far this is the only game I've played recently where I have to take quite a few breaks due to all the clicking that starts to hurt my hand. I'm not even talking about fighting stuff, but after a while just building my city my mouse hand hurt like hell from the frequent clicking.

Allright ! Nice !
Here are a couple older videos (from around pre-alpha) that show some of the environmental effects. I set them at specific time codes to show the effects.

RE: How do the devs stand against modding?
At this point I'd settle for being able to change keyboard shortcuts
