On behalf of Meridian, I hope everyone is enjoying the new test phase - especially with life under quarantine.

RE: Meridian - PvX/Syndesia - International - Diplomacy/Politics/Trade/Warfare
Meridian is pleased to be participating in the second Alpha test. The game looks better in variety and detail, the combat is more fluid, and the opportunities more abundant.
Anyone who's committed to Fractured but not yet to a guild or community should consider checking us out.

RE: [UK/US/ENG] The Horde of Tartaros
Welcome to Fractured, @Rekington! I'm sure the Horde will kick ass and slay with impunity.
We at Meridian extend our greetings!

Update: Governor @LilCassiopeia has publicly announced the founding of Dùath, Meridian's second planned settlement. The thread has some juicy details; check it out!

RE: Dùath port town of Arboreus
Glad to see the thread's up and running, Governor @LilCassiopeia!
@Xzait, I assure you Dùath will be as fun as it is ambitious. Cassiopeia has a strong vision for the town and the game; Meridian's glad to be part of it.

@SunderCats Thanks! Are you interested in learning more about us?

RE: Rhykker Mention of "Pay for Convenience"
I wholeheartedly reject a pay to win scheme and hope DMS maintains its integrity in this respect.
...But I'm also one of those gamers who's happy to pay a mandatory monthly subscription.
DMS is a company and it has to remain profitable for us to enjoy the spoils.

@Alexian & @LilCassiopeia - WOW! So funny to have zero time ingame and already clients at the door. Really looking forward to getting to know my neighborhood mobs once the beta is open lol
Haha, yeah we can't wait either!

RE: Min/Max'ing and crafting/fighting
@Farlander said in Min/Max'ing and crafting/fighting:
The majority of the guys that I know who pvp are definitely min/maxers. Trying to be better than other players is what they do. Roleplay, exploring, socializing with others at make believe tea parties is not their thing. Whether you pvp or not you still need to know this info because everyone who wants to explore everything will be forced into pvp at some point. I'm really interested in how a character improves. I'd love to see some hard numbers on gear, stats, knowledge and any other damage modifying effects that improve a character over time.
It’s for this reason, so eloquently written, that I don’t understand min-maxing in an MMORPG, where exploration and immersion are key components.

RE: Min/Max'ing and crafting/fighting
@Xulu I take it you’re a min-maxer?

RE: Effect from Taming on mainly PvP
@Gothix said in Effect from Taming on mainly PvP:
I would guess, if you can tame an animal and she can fight with you, then it will be available everywhere where you can fight anything.
A nice option would be, you can tell it to stay in your house, if you wish walk around alone, your tamed animal could stay in your home like a pet, resting under a tree or something.
Perhaps even guarding your home from potential intruders?

Sounds like the Beastling Pack will want to have a shop set up there to connect off-world folk looking to travel to Arborea with our 'Happy Trails Crew'
Meridian looks forward to engaging with the Beastling Pack in both the Syndesian capital and @LilCassiopeia’s Arboreus settlement.

@Xzoviac unlike Albion Online Bastards. regret supporting those buttonhole,
I dont want my ice-cold heart broken twice.
I would love to see this game become a next WOW or equivalent ( in terms of how long it will last).Buttonhole, ha! Love it.
Albion Online seems to be Fractured's primary reference point and they intend to do pretty much everything a hell of a lot differently than AO has. If they stick to their vision, Fractured will be a much more hardcore, nuanced, and intricate game than AO could ever be.
