Not to put too much of a damper on things, but if pre-alpha has been pushed back as far as it has, then it's probable that alpha is also going to be pushed back, too - I'm not saying that they'll miss December, but it is probable to miss December 1st.

It's just a test of the test so don't hype too much
As @Specter said we gonna mainly test mechanics, i doubt that there will be much content to explore.

@therippyone Don't think they mentioned which day in December so probably.
@Foxs Agreed. Still, the mechanics involve terrain that actually matters, a knowledge type progression system, and a build-a-thon town system with management. Sure the work and testing will be brutal, and some of us may not survive... but for the glorious few, we'll get that cheddar!

I am want to hear that everything is going to plan before I get my hype engine powered up. There has been silence, and that means they are working hard, so when they pop in here with an update... then if it is good news.... I will pour nitrous in the engine

Alpha tests is a bug fest, so I assume pre-alpha to be even worse.
I am not hyped about many bugs, of which many could be game breaking and causing crashes etc.
But I am excited to see the game and to get to see it's potential.Don't know how many here been in alpha tests of games before, but it's important to not expect too much.
Alpha tests are a lot different compared to closed/open beta, with many features not there yet or even seeing placeholder models/textures.
So just be prepared for that and don't hype too hard or you might end up disappointed.

@EvolGrinZ I'm not hyping about playing a fully finished game here, just one that could potentially be. And it could provided we do our roles as testers effectively and provide feedback and support to the fullest. Which is what I am hoping for.
