How to you feel about the games "advertising"
-
I mean I made an account with little to no information about the game itself. I only live with the dream of being an early member of a new big MMO. I think the reward system (although we still don't know the value you will be getting from the rewards themselves) is kinda intriguing as in no other game have I taken the time to post such a dump post. I love ya all

@D3dman thank you for being here so early! While we haven't released game footage yet, these boards and the website are not so deprived of information. You can gather a lot of insights from fracturedmmo.com home page, FAQ page and this thread, for instance!

The project is still in its early stages so I don't expect much advertising as of yet until they have footage and other materials to show. I actually found this project out via mmorpg's subreddit. I'm glad I did as now I can keep a close eye on the progress made and it's fun following the process.

Same here lol... I like the concept and I'm a furry so this is the game for me. Yiff!! I'm joking
-
most probably the advertising will start closely before kickstarter.
-
MassivelyOP's lastest article about the game several days ago sent me over here. Glad it did.
-
I'm fine with the current advertising in the current situation.
I saw developers publishing every week informations, pictures and videos about the progress of the game. Many people where happy but nobody thought about the time they had to invest in those advertisings.
Focussing on the game itself and do advertising later (as tulukaruk mentioned before kickstarter) is fine. I'm pretty interested about the kickstarter campaign and what they have to say about everything. ^^
-
I think same as Cryver.
Just hope we get a bit more informations about the progress once the game is far enough developed to show us little steps.
The Development team should never forget how important it is to get the advertising from the community itself.
-
I'm much in the same situation, the 'rewards' keep me posting, but that's an interesting experience!
-
Well, if it helps for sticking, why not.
But as long we don't know if the game will really that grandios and totally cool, we don't know if we will advertise it.
Lets hope and wait for first real impressions
-
Hey this game got me interested just by reading a bit of the worlds and the possibilities. If its as good as I think it is the advertising is worth it.
-
It is fun to do things this way. Its like a big gift under the tree, lets just hope the sneeky peeky they give us here soon (looking at you @Prometheus) makes us want to shake it even more! Darn these double wrapped games!

-
True, but you maybe get a good idea of it.
-
Showing stuff too early can hurt a game. It happened in the past.
-
There are many points where a game can get broken before even a beta could start.
Developer get bored about.
Publisher don't believe in the game anymore.
Bad communication to the community and getting for this reason many bad reputations.
Or just less interest on the game idea itself.
There are many more reasons. And i guess every of us got the experience with at least one game that was running in false direction.
Lets hope this one will be a good example how to create something very cool and needful.
-
@kralith
I don't think I've ever heard about developers dropping game because they got bored
Publishers problems are fixed at least partially by kickstarter.
And we already have great communications from developers. So I don't think we need to worry about that
-
@tulukaruk
True, i also think we don't have to worry.
It was just examples from my experience where i saw games going into the nirvana.
