@MaxFlex A lot of MMOs main focus is at PvE and player cooperation rather than in PvP. I would say its more like other way around, every MMORPG needs the PvE aspect but PvP side is not necessarily needed.

RE: Is Alt-Spamming even a bad thing?
@Razvan @Logain I guess people can benefit from alts used for crafting and farming. More characters means access for more timed plots like farming and processed resources (e.g. tanning tubes). In addition, we have so little information of crafting in general so it is hard to say what kind of mechanics there will eventually be implemented. I personally hope that we will not benefit from alts or at least that the benefits will be relatively small.

@Razvan said in Is Alt-Spamming even a bad thing?:
Alts can be a bad thing, but I don't think anything can be done about them.
Examples in which alts offer advantages: if the game has a crafting focus system, having more alts = more money. Scouting ahead with a cheaply geared alt to protect your main from gankers / camping an alt outside a dungeon so you can see who comes in. If the game has travel limitations for zergs, these can be bypassed by having multiple zvz-ready alts located at key areas.True. Alts can and will be used wrong for sure, and that is the main reason why I do not personally like much of alts. I understand alts so people can play different races and classes, but the positive things will stop there.

RE: 💡 Suggestion | In game | Repair system/mechanincs
If I remember right, the last knowledge is that there will not be repairing system at all and everything will just decay and eventually broke for good. However, if repairing is needed, then repairing with ingame currency would be easiest solution which offers very effective gold sink at the same time.

RE: Can we have other means of information beside Twitch Q&A sessions?
@Razvan Upcoming plans for the game should definitely be in written format, at least as like a summary, however, imo videos should be the secondary communication channel. Videos are of course nice, but trying to find information from those feels really bad and the information will just drown there.

RE: The Potential City Problem.
@Farlander Well Trammel did not ruin the game, it was actually very popular. Only those hardcore PvP fans claimed so because it kind of ruined the game from them. Trammel just showed what a lot of players really wanted, it was RP, PvE and consensual PvP.

RE: 'Recipes are meaningless...
About the definition of grind, here is one..
"What Does Grinding Mean?
Grinding refers to the playing time spent doing repetitive tasks within a game to unlock a particular game item or to build the experience needed to progress smoothly through the game. Grinding most commonly involves killing the same set of opponents over and over in order to gain experience points or gold. Although other game genres require some grinding, role-playing games (RPG) – specifically massively multiplayer online role-playing games – are the most notorious for requiring this type of time investment from players."Grind is still grind and changing the name or inventing euphenisms will not change the fact. Fractured has a good amount of grind, it also needs some grind for sake of longevity, but there is no reason to pretent that there is no grind in the game.

RE: Owlsane's Feedback / Suggestion / Questions about Alpha 2 - Test 2
Firstable, really nice and comprehensive feedback, I like that.
About magic missiles, there could be a channeling bar to indicate the fireing process, where 1 missile is launch every 0.5 sec during 2 secs for example. Now it was hard to know when you can start moving without loosing x number of missiles.
- Missile = Instant
- Missile = 0.5 sec
- Missile = 1.0 sec
- Missile = 1.5 sec
- Missile = 2.0 sec
Here is old vid from WoW, but still shows the channeling bar in use.

RE: Fractured Noob Feedback List 4/12/20
I almost forgot, the bank chest was beautiful and it was placed nicely in the middle of the village. This solution reminds me of Albion which is actually a good thing. I was wondering is the idea to players have a bank chest in every town (local of course)? That would be a good idea and maybe the chests could be upgradable to unlock more space and maybe even have options for different tabs to keep everything nicely in order.
In addition, inventories in general needs some QoL features in the future. Like STACK and SORT buttons, and faster item moving from inventory to another [with double click, shift + click or something like that (with automatic stacking)].

RE: Fractured Content Pills - Week 25, 2019
I like how realistic those working stations looks like. And what it comes to that video, that AoE spider web spell really got my attention. I presume it is a AoE CC ability. GJ!

RE: WoW Classic is coming
@Dariusacmar Actually that difficulty and lack of money is few things why I am interested to test out Classic. On top of that I like how the professions really matters, and are crucial part of the game what it comes for gearing and money making.

RE: Why Albion is boring and Fractured will not be ?
@chrightt said in Why Albion is boring and Fractured will not be ?:
No clue really. Maybe will be just as bad as Albion.
How you can predict that way if you don't have a clue.. Imho Fractured has now a chance to learn and not make same mistakes what Albion actually did.

RE: The PvE vs PvP Thread
This concept to cater PvE and PvP centric players (and everything between) sounds really nice and i really hope it will work also in practise. Everybody has it own piece of the world, why i am actually kind of suprised how much this heatens the PvE/PvP discussion. Situation is ideal and no-ones butt should hurt.

RE: Fractured Content Pills - Week 31, 2019
@Znirf My personal favorite is that goblin with armor, looks really cool. I was wondering.. could that elemental's corpse be gatherable? Perhaps some uncommon or rare stones for quarriers?

RE: WoW Classic is coming
@Gothix I am, like I have mentioned before in this thread. However, I have changed my mind about the class and I am going to play orc warlock. I have played more at alliance side why I wanted now go with horde.
@Psymantis No worries, there is this Addon called Questie to help leveling.

I think that needs to be directly communicated to @Prometheus in PM?
I guess there is no need anymore, you started to summon him already.

RE: How similar to Albion Online?
I personally hope that there wont be much similarities between Albion and Fractured. Simply because boring is the best word to describe Albion imo and that is why i quit playing a month ago. I have played Albion from start of beta and even been part of GvG guilds. Even some of the open world PvP encounters are worth to remember, it will get boring eventually. PvE content is so poor that it does not offer much to do and like people already mentioned, only few top players will enjoy the GvGs. Also Albion team SBI did a huge mistake just before launch introducing Hector patch, which literally ruined the game with features coming to launch without testing. Also huge performance and login problems at starting month was a huge downside. Now when Albion got steam access it will get some temporary boost, but soon they start loosing players again, because nothing big content updates are seen in near future. Just some things that should been done before release.
So i guess i would not bring much from Albion to Fractured. The combat will be a little bit same with moba style even i hope there will be more skill shots in Fractured than what there is in Albion. It was already said that there wont be this huge mindless grind and character progression in Fractured will be more like horizontal which is nice. Fractured three planet idea sounds on paper absolutly brilliant and i really hope it will work in practise as well. Creating basically separated playgrounds to PvE, PvP and PvX players is fantastic idea. I really want to test out all these three worlds, because all of them seems to have unique systems. If i have to guess i will end up to play mostly on human planet where i can enjoy equally about PvE and PvP. I like both though.

@Tuoni said in WoW Classic is coming:
orc warlock
Orc Warlock is basically the best combo you can be in vanilla.
Lots of folks go for an Undead Warlock, but (being a warlock) other casters aren't your main enemy, it's rogues. So having 25% stun resist as an Orc is imho more useful than having undeads WoTF.
Warlocks are also good for all content: PvP, dungeons, raiding and solo play... so you can't go wrong with a warlock choice. And being a horde, you don't have to deal with other undead (WoTF), so you will have as smooth experience as you can.
I can not agree more..

RE: New MMO
Been waiting for a new mmo to come out for some time now and this one looks promising!
And you still need to wait... The release will be perhaps in 2022. It was set to 2021 Q3 but at the moment the development is ABOUT half year behind the original schedule.
