I tried to move items from a chest to chest which are standing next to other. I could open my personal and both chest inventories at the sametime. I was able to move stuff from a chest straight to another, and then I thought vow, this is a nice feature. However, when I closed the inventory screens this transaction never really happened even it looked like it. Okay, I presume I should not be able to do that, but in that case the game should not allow me to do that "moving" and maybe give me some information about this incorrect action. However #2, It would be actually quite a QoL feature if players could open all their chests inside the house at the same time and move items freely between those.

RE: Will zergs rule the open world?
@Jetah Well where we need new post if we should always search the old ones? If you want to go that road, then you can answer that same line to almost every new post for upcoming few years, and end every conversation before those even started. Moreover, these forums seams to be quite quiet so it does not matter much if some topics are discussed several times. In most cases those conversations have own flavor, direction and contain new point of views. Also when game advances it unlocks new information related to old aspects of game and only that will make same old topics somehow different.

@Gothix Btw, have you already decide your race and class combo?
Yeah, my main will be Orc Hunter and I will play Undead Mage as my primary alt.
Orc Hunters are great too, especially in leveling, solo content and PvP. Undead Mage is actually one of my options for alt if I have time for one. Few months ago I played one in private server to test out AoE grinding. Shadow priest or druid are possible alts too..

@Absolit your are spot on with everything and I felt the pain as well tanking all the damage and received zero knowledge since my damage wasnβt enough. Make damage absorbing be same as damage dealt so all in group will get knowledge properly. Thanks again for amazing post absolit.
I think kowledge should be shared equally between party members, like loot as well, regardless of group members role. In combat situation..

RE: Will zergs rule the open world?
@Pluto Hmmm.. So you referred to friendly fire? I think I saw somewhere, that this feature exists in Fractured. That is one way to prevent zerging for sure and can lead battles to quite messy and chaotic. Friendly fire is interesting and nice feature, but also causes some problems.
There is of course different kind of options prevent zerging, if zerging is wanted to prevent at first place. I presume this would be the case in Syndesia where is some law to protect players in open world, but Tartaros can easily be area where is not suppossed to be any kind of anti-zerging mechanics. I kind of understand that, but its still something which can hurt solo or small scale PvP in Tartaros. However, maybe there is not just one best solution and this matter needs to be compromised somehow. Next I will intoroduce some ideas and options how anti-zerging can be prevented.
-
Zergs could be shown on minimap as dots to players who are at same area/zone.
-
There could simply be pop up warning text or sign when zerg approaches.
-
Players could loose more reputation/karma points when they outnumbers their enemies. Scaling like in situation 3v1 all three gets more penalty than in 1v1 situation. This also gets worse if you e.g. 10v1 someone. This could also work other way so if you win from underdog situation (e.g. 3v5) you get less loss. I could see this as option in Syndesia, but maybe not in Tartaros where is lo law to protect players.
-
This last one is my personal favorite, because I was trying to think it from Fractured point of view. Because we have this perception attribute, maybe that would somehow help us to notice zergs from distance? Maybe you could actually hear (like in real life) when zerg is approaching. How far? Depending size of zerg and your perception level. Moreover, there is also skills under perception so maybe you could unlock some anti-zerging abilities from there? I think that would be really nice.

RE: Feel free to join the Eriador Rangers
Your guild concept sounds interesting. I like when guilds have some kind of theme. What it comes to open world PvP I have always enjoyed to hunt down criminals more than innocent people. Especially if we can see some kind of bounty system. BTW, is Rangers of Eriador a RPG guild?
Best regard,

RE: New World by Amazon - Anyone interested?
What I have read about the co-op of PvE and PvP it could actually work. Both are needed to develop towns and help with war when fighting other factions. The game looks visually awesome and I really like the 17th century style of weapons and armors. Those are a little bit different what we have used to see but still enough close to Middle Ages. I like the idea to have three weapons sets what you can swap on the fly in middle of the fight.

RE: Weekly Drawings - Be Active & Win Foundation Points!
@Specter said in The Foundation - Weekly Drawings:
@Tuoni I don't really think it's worth changing at this point as the Foundation is most likely going to end at some point during the alpha.
Well if that is the case then ofc there is no reason to make changes anymore. However, ending foundation system in state of game where it could be even more useful sounds really weird solution imho.
When Alpha 1 without NDA is already going on, then Foundation system will be more valueable than atm. Then those new visitors who have lured to check out Fractured, have more actual content to follow and even possibility to join game straight away. Moreover, community has more to talk about, and more suggestions and feedback to give.

RE: Skeletons
I have a few suggestions that may touch on those issues.
Perhaps being a skeleton isnβt a permanent race that you play. In fact, maybe you can be a skeletal beast man, human, or demon. Perhaps becoming a skeleton is a direct relation to the game world.
This sounds better already and makes more sense imo. Skeleton as temporary form is one good option and would effect to gameplay interesting way with debuffs and buffs suggested earlier in this thread. Will for sure spice up open world PvX.
Maybe there could be some kind of underworld continent where you can only travel as dead? Maybe you need to be killed by a specific boss like you mentioned to get this access. Moreover, this can also be somehow related to knowledge system and you need to craft or buy a specific item to complete the transformation (just an example).
So summarizing my opinnion.. Would I like to see skeleton as permanent race option? Not so much. Would I like to see as temporary transformation? Hell yes.

RE: WoW Classic is coming
I am now going to necro my old thread from the last year and sorry about that. I am interested to know how those who have played or who are still playing have experienced the Classic WoW? What you think about this game?
Personally, I was really hyped and I also enjoyed the experience until I got bored and I quit, that is the short version. I had fun when leveling and I especially liked the challenge what Classic offered. However, the leveling experience turned boring over time and it felt that the progression stopped somewhere after level forty. I was playing casually and purely just for fun which also started to show with the speed of progression. So I stopped playing Classic and I decided to test out the retail version, and hey why not, I was already paying the monthly subscription. Now I have wade throught the Warlords of Draenor, Legion and BfA expansions and run out of reasonable things to do already, so I have canceled the subscription once again. I have to say that upcoming Shadowlands expansion looks promising, but only time will tell, if it will be a success or a flop like BfA.

@Tuoni
when you've been here long enough, you see the same questions being constantly asked. it's better to point them to the search bar.It should not go that way. Even I have not been here for long, I have been part of other gaming communities for long time. In those these same topics were discusses much more what here is done. It was never a problem. Now if you do not personally want to discuss that same topic anymore, you could just leave it be and let others discuss who are interested. It is so simple. If there has been good and informative topic before, then you can post that link and not just say use the search bar.. On top of that, the search gives you lots of conversations and reading all those through is something not many people are interested to do. Also necroing old post is kind of argued matter and most cases (what i have seen) those are recommend to just leave be. Moreover, new members comes in forum everyday and they do not care if some people are discussed before of the same topics they are interested atm. It sounds more like those who were here first are privleged to discuss about the hot topics and after that those cases are closed.
To summarize this; Atm you are not helping. You actually help more if you just do not answer, rather than you tell this topic has discussed before and go use search bar for old posts.

RE: State Of The Game #2 β On 2018, Alpha 1 & Unity
@Immortal-Great Actually full release is planned to launch 2021 Q3. DS is a little bit behind from original schedule already, so there can be some delay also with upcoming test phases.
Personally I do not take much stress from delays. This is quite normal what it comes to my experience, and it is better to test out properly rather than launch incomplete product.

RE: New Race Idea
I personally love to be a crafter as well, but I would like to keep professions separate from races and leave people the freedom with progression paths.
However, there is currently four beastmen, three demons and one human race. Imo there should be at least one more demon race and three more humans. Then we have total of four in all category.

RE: New Race Idea
@Eurav Start to think our world and history, and I am sure you will find different kind of human races and cultures, which could easily have different backround and racial bonuses.
Elfs and dwarfs would also suit nicely to planet Syndesia, but its not something must implement imo. I like the concept of demons and beastmen. Its something fresh and less used. All those basic elfs, dwarfs, orcs and gnomes are getting a little bit boring already.
