very good translation mate
i would consider not to write "join the revolution"
it sounds really strange in german xD
maybe better "erlebe die Revolution" (its experience the revolution or feel the revolution)I'd prefer "experience or feel the revolution" in english instead of "join"..

RE: Switching Characters
@gothix
Expecting ahorizontal power growth, it’s possible that rank two and rank three will only grant 1% power each or the difference between rank 1 and 3 can be 1%. Then again ranks do not have to grant power they can grant utility. -

@jetah I see your "alfa" tendencies friend, yet your words must be backed by action. I'll meet you on the battlefield or i'll confront and shame you in the Great Forum of my city. 't is true that sheep will follow the wolf, but i will be surrounded by lions. That being said, i wish you well, if but for the sake of sport. It would be dull to simply slaughter weaklings.
the pen is mightier than the sword, so my speak on the forums will be much better than my game play. I'm training honey badgers, so your lions mean nothing to me.

RE: Mouse / Keyboard control
@dcccxix
There’s a another thread from early this year that had more people asking for it. I would use it.I even found some videos of keyboard movement being used in a isometric game to show how it’s possible.

RE: Being in a forum pre alpha
@mrchipps said in Being in a forum pre alpha:
This is the first time I've been part of a community pre alpha. I just want to have great conversation and hopefully shed light on the developers about what the community is looking for along the lines of their goals.
I hope we can collectively guide them into a great game and robust development.
that's not what i hope happens. consumers don't know what they want whereas developers know how they want their game to work and function.
we can offer suggestions, sometimes based on what other developers did and how it worked out. We can be creative but that doesn't mean it's the core function of the game or fits the art style. It might mean it's doable but the expense isn't worth the 1% of the population that'll use it.

RE: Economy essentials
Gear has to degrade even though it can be looted. Reason is there is a whole planet with 80% no PvP and they need to replace their gear.
I’ll agree that gear should be repaired but at some point it should stop being repaired.

Be the Revolution is also good. Sounds like a call-to-action phrase. It sounds like the person is to be proactive to get things done.

RE: reimbursement of clan / ally events equipment
Eve Online has a destroyed log per ship loss including a characters pod and implants. it's great because you can see what someone had, estimate their losses.
Now take that up to a guild tier and you can see what a whole loss or win cost a guild.
Now take that up to an alliance tier and you can see how much farming had to take place!
It's both good and bad for moral because you can see what the both sides have lost.
I've never seen it used as a reimbursement tool though. Maybe on the small scale of an alliance wanting to take a small guild in and offering reimbursement but I doubt that'd work out because the alliance would just give them the stuff before the war.

RE: Suggestion: Demon Bone Armor/Weapon
There is no law that states a suggestion has to be allied to all alignments.
If anyone wants to crest their own suggestion for neutral and good alignments then start a new thread.
I’m sorry but the games doesn’t revolve around good and neutral.

RE: reimbursement of clan / ally events equipment
@gofrit
Gear has to have meaning or people won’t use it and there’d be no economy.Even if it’s 10-25% difference it is a difference. Even if it’s 5-10% it’s a difference.
Quality tiers and legendary equipment could still exist without being OP.

Only for people that grew up watching YouTube videos to explain everything.
Text is so much faster to read than someone speaking.Only if good paragraphing is used.
In my view, a "wall-of-text" is more than a lot to read: it's a solid block of words, with little to no regard for spacing or organization.
But yes, I do prefer reading tutorials to watching them.
definitely understand that.That's when I post a comment asking them to make paragraphs. (got ¶?)

RE: "Capture The Flag" GvG contest in Open World
CTF would work in open world, just as things work now.
you find a near secluded place. plant 2 flags and have at it.
it could be possible that DS adds some coding for a point system. IE 5 pts for flag capture. 1 point for a player knockout. first team to 15 or 20 points wins.

RE: Character Customization?
I doubt you’ll notice much of anything outside of the character select screen.
Eye color - can’t see them.
Facial features - see above.
Skin pigment - if you wear armor, odds are it’ll be covered.What will make your character unique will be the visual of the gear and the combinations you choose. Outside of the abilities you select.
Outside of horns, spikes, I don’t see how adding character cosmetic selection is a good use of funds.

RE: Pc requirements
you should be fine with a 5yo system. isometric games don't require a bunch of resources because you're always looking at the ground.
-
RE: Controller Support?
I mentioned WASD movement for controllers. opening the game up to disabled players would be beneficial to the game. This would allow controllers to use WASD to move.
OR
there's native controller support which makes movement with the pad/stick.
I'm actually surprised there aren't any ADA (for the US) laws to force game developers to support some disabilities.

RE: VIP system : What do you think ?
is there a way to pay to skip playing parts of the game? VIP does just that. any boost to knowledge point gain is bad.
@Prometheus your Knowledge spotlight even mentions knowledge points as:
In Fractured, Knowledge Points can be seen as your personal progression currency: you acquire them over time while playing the game, and you can spend them to obtain Talent Points and start learning new abilities.
to offer a progression currency increase over those that don't buy it, will be seen as p2w. it will allow those that pay to advance faster than those that don't.
I believe this game can make it and do well even without VIP. Again I'll point to Path of Exile as my case study. They constantly have bundles that include some physical and most digital goods. IF you own one or more of the physical or digital goods they give the cash shop currency instead. These packs are exclusive cosmetics!

RE: Character Customization?
@gothix said in Character Customization?:
@jetah you might need a pair of glasses mate if you have trouble noticing all that.
when you play Path of Exile, Diablo 2/3, or any other isometric game you can notice eye color? You can recognize a nose ring in an enemy? You can recognize which eyebrows the player selected?
@Gofrit
why spend the time and salary for something that isn't noticeable by everyone? I'd rather the 30-50k be used for something else than a nose ring, different eyebrows, multiple jaws, etc options where just the user will notice-at least for launch. -
RE: VIP system : What do you think ?
they could reduce the cash shop prices so it entices more people to buy. they could offer limited quantity cosmetics that entices people to buy as alternatives to a VIP.
