RE: How do the devs stand against modding?
I'm also against modding, it starts becoming a slippery slope where some mods will do too much and become "necessary" for features like pvp or else those who don't have it are at a disadvantage and etc.
Just have a good UI in game innately and eliminate the potential mess with modding.

RE: What is the point of having your own plot of land?
The point of having your own plot of land is to use as a respawn point. Also you can use it for extra storage. You can have a personal plot out in the wild somewhere but still be a citizen of a city, you just won't respawn at the city but can use the crafting tables.
The implementation of the player cities really added a lot of quality of life for guild groups who like to play together.
I suppose solo players who don't like group activities don't like it as much
But overall an MMO should focus on social/group playing, because that is the biggest difference between the MMO and a single player game.

RE: What is the point of having your own plot of land?
@Chapex said in What is the point of having your own plot of land?:
From the role point of view, the house system needs to improve in terms of the possibility of choosing different styles of construction and decoration, customization of colors and textures, etc. In that sense, at the moment it has no use.
There is also the option to select it as a resurrection point and when acquiring a lot close to a specific area of ββinterest it would be more convenient to appear after a death and continue with the activities. If I am not mistaken at the moment this is not possible, therefore it has no use.
Other housing models will be implemented later in the game, you can see this in the founders' packs already by them offering different house models.
Your house is a resurrection point currently in the game. It is probably the most useful feature at the moment.

RE: Tanning Tubs Are a Disaster
@Xzait The leather armor is for light armor for casters. Hide armor is considered medium armor and so it has higher armor defense values, but casters cannot cast many abilities using medium armor.

RE: Talents Temporarily Disable Themselves.
I've been trying to test this further, and I've found that it affects talents and abilities, not sure about other stuff like enchants yet.
If you have a toggle ability like Frenzy, then re-enabling it will correct your stat values including the talents after the bug occurs, but if you do NOT have any toggle abilities and the bug occurs, then you cannot fix your stat values and it is as if you are running around with a disabled talent tree. This CAN be re-enabled by building a fire and re-memorizing your talent preset, but it also can randomly fix itself after a while of running around. The downside is if it occurs and you do not notice and end up in pvp or fighting mobs, and your character becomes much weaker without your knowledge.
Also @AcOrP has a bug report about this and a theory about it as well here

RE: [A2.3] Co-Owner of Personal Claim - inviting does not work
The same thing seems to be happening with Vice-Governors and the Town Hall book. Seems like Vice Governors have the UI of being able to remove citizens but when I try it and confirm, nothing actually happens.

RE: Removing lands plots
@Kralith said in Removing lands plots:
Yeah, i would also like to have the possibility to remove landplots again.
It is especially important, if you chose wrong size or want to make it bigger than first thought.Yes! >_< Especially for testing the plot planning for the first time, so many ugly spots since we have no way to delete plots that were placed in "accidental" areas and then no way to delete placed roads that adjoin the accidental plots.

RE: Handcarts gone and not able to place new blueprint
@Mudz Have you spoken with the governor of your city about this? Because governors and vice-governors have the ability to delete handcarts that are placed by others in the city. I would assume maybe they think your handcarts are abandoned, or maybe they are blocking a building/plot placement. It may not be a bug that your carts disappeared, maybe the governor deleted them.

RE: Tanning Tubs Are a Disaster
While I think that the intention behind the current set-up is so that people can carefully choose which city/group they want to be a part of, I do agree with you that it is a potential disaster for cities that plan to be made up of "non-guild citizens". Currently any citizen can put stuff in or pull stuff out of the specific city's tanning tubs. Greedy or impatient people will likely be inconsiderate and just steal things. The 16 hour tanning process being the longest crafting time (in this current version of the game) adds to the frustration of someone possibly stealing it or destroying it.
A group that is working honestly together to organize and share resources like my guild does can combat the greediness, but in turn it raises doubts about letting outsiders become citizens, which MAY hurt the community of the game. I can imagine that there would be quite a lot of drama over this issue in a city mixed of more than one guild, or a city made of "free citizen" players not affiliated with each other in any other way.
In addition, without a record of some kind to tell who placed an item in and who took it out, the potential for trolling a 16-hour cooldown is a big risk. Let's say player A and player B are both citizens of the same city. Player B is secretly a terrible evil person. Player A places his hides into the tanning tub. Player B goes to the tub when no one else is around, and deletes the leather. Player A comes back to no leather after waiting for 16 hours. He wants to complain to the governor, but nobody knows who did it! It happens again and again, and eventually player A gets fed up and leaves that city. Now the city is stuck with the secretly evil player B instead of having nice player A!
Maybe something has to be implemented to prevent these situations?

Minimap freezing and not updating character location
As the title says, my minimap has been occasionally freezing and not updating my location even if I move my character to a completely different spot. It seems like only relogging will fix it, but then it happens again after a while. I first noticed this bug while trying to place personal plots as a vice-governor. I thought it was due to a strange type of lag, but reporting it here just in case.

RE: So What is Everyone "Doing"?
Building the town with my guild, trying out different talents/abilities ^_^ having a ton of fun! Testing the different crafting with different mats to see what makes the "best" combinations. Oh, and the occasional handcart parade!

RE: Alpha 2.3 Key giveaway.
Thanks for doing this giveaway for the community, Oxfurd!
I enjoyed reading these storiesIt's pretty amazing that through games, we can make close friendships around the world with people we would never have met otherwise!

RE: What makes Fractured different?
The "three worlds, three playstyles" feature makes Fractured quite unique in my opinion.
The no "leveling" aspect is also different from the other games you mentioned.
However the other games you mentioned are already fully launched. If you are looking for amount of current content, Fractured would not be able to compare at the moment since it is in Alpha Testing stage instead of fully released.
Personally I would only play Fractured out of the games you listed even though we don't have full released servers yet, but that is because I don't like the other games/studios

RE: Reagent Enchanting Spreadsheet (Update 2020-Oct-14)
Thank you for your work!
Will you update us here or on a separate thread on what info you are missing during the alpha test so that those of us who are willing can help?
