Hmm... Now my opinion may be bit mixed but well. On one hand I quite expected some of those concerns on the other side, completely changing "developers view" doesn't seem like good solution either. So I'm kinda against making Fractured yet another MMo. So maybe instead on going on FULL BACK on some points... All that is needed is some smaller tweaks or changes?
For example:
I get thou the difference in effort to between crafting decent gear and best ones (for example hardwood and ironwood Longbow lets say +4) is actually really big difference in effort while change in stats doesn't seems to be quite impressive. But there comes small problem with scaling. If change was much bigger PvP once again would back to 5 sec duels of "Who attacked first". About paying in gold for items You crafted in house. I understand it was an attempt to stabilize prices a bit, but... Well I would rather see NPC to who You can sell items at fixed prices than this. Or any other more organic one, than paying gold to use Your own workshop. This looks even worse in armors I think, where there are only two options really: Basic armor for You and expensive one with actual bonuses. But instead of changing maybe adding more steps in between would be better? I get that it may create situation when You feel like You can do nothing simply because You don't have good enough gear but hey... One it is the point of putting much work into getting the best gear, second it still can be tweaked by reducing/increasing its durability.
Rest? Yeah... if there was simply more things to do solo, while other parts of game still forced You to find even a temporal group it would be better for all. Cannot disagree. For this I feel game just need more overall content in all the phases (maybe outside of very beginning, there seems to be enough). But here were back to what seems like the one of biggest obstacles so far. How to do that quick with limited resources?

I just checked out stats for all my longbows that i have. And looks like all of them (from poor to good, and form +0 to +2) have all they stats same as if they were all poor +0. This doesn't seem to be case for other items (like armors) from what i see.
Dev Team isn't big. Plus they had problems with few things in last year. And money. Quite a lot of problems unfortunately.
Things seems to get little bit better in last few months but hard to say if it will be enough to propel this game towards stage where every month we will welcome bunch of new players.
Otherwise. Game is alive and last update was less than 2 weeks ago. It added alchemy, ghosts, skills, and mounts no longer have only placeholder stats.
And most changes were for better, thou some may fell like damage DPS droped bit too much for PvE.
On one hand... Devs stated from beginning that endgame is created for players playing in groups what is understandable concept. And in top of that recently many players pointed that the endgame comes bit quick leaving You with nothing much to do (as for now game unfortunately lack rare and legendary things to find/farm/unlock.
On another one thou... It may be better to postpone "endgame" and create more things accessible for single players (but still much easier in groups) so players base will increase and then add more and more thing for guilds and groups maybe with optional slots for single players as mercenaries. This should at last in theory bring more different players to the game and help them form different types of group more naturally.
So in overall I see this mostly as upgrade as many things were changed for better, but I agree now there is even less things to do for solo players what is quite of a problem for this kind of games need "as many living souls as possible".
Non the less while I understand for small team it is quite of a challenge to both fix things, upgrade things and add new things in same time, but I truly hope Devs can make it without any more problems to the point where there will be enough things to do for people to stay longer with the game. For this should in my opinion solve most of the problems by itself.
As a IT guy I will say that: There is no system that cannot be hacked/damage, only systems that are not worth it.
So if someone for some reason want to get Your data, most likely will get Your data what many much bigger companies proved. On the other hand, for us more depends on how many and how good copies/restore point company have, so for example in worst case scenario players only lose progress they made in last 24h (IRL not 24h of ingame progress). So far I would say I see no problem here and will still support. Especially since the more support, the more funds there would be to spend on (feed the developers finally!), and some most likely will be spend on better IT architecture.
