When will shop items become available ?

Now that we can buy gold, pets and decorations in the shop, I was wondering if we can use those in the upcomming alpha 2 test, or at a later moment (at live)?

Cash shop needs to be tested in game as well, so I'm sure at some point shop items will become usable for testing.
Question is only, when.

Since they are cosmetic I'd imagine not much testing will be needed other than to make sure they look good.

dup testing, exploit texting, shop removing currency and giving the item testing.
there's more than just 'does it look good'.

Yes, during alpha 2 you will be able to use all the things available in the store!

I am expecting some lovingly implemented look&feel. Keep it up @Sunti + Team! Yeah i cant wait for next test as well to test WAGONS!! so i can carry rocks and wood much faster, and build those beautiful blueprints of villas

The bought items will become permanently bonded to your account, as you noticed all of them are pets or cosmetics things, so there is no need for a later refund.

because in all MMOs I've seen people test cash shop by buying lots of stuff they don't even need, just to see if it works. They are then later refunded on release (stuff taken away of course), so they can buy only what they actually need.

because in all MMOs I've seen people test cash shop by buying lots of stuff they don't even need, just to see if it works. They are then later refunded on release (stuff taken away of course), so they can buy only what they actually need. Thats a good point, if we want to test all the items from shop, we would buy stuff, that we probably not would buy permanently.
But that can be maybe get tested in another way, that the studio will give us for a testphase all available Items, no matter if we bought them or not.

because in all MMOs I've seen people test cash shop by buying lots of stuff they don't even need, just to see if it works. They are then later refunded on release (stuff taken away of course), so they can buy only what they actually need. I agree. It would be better to wipe also all those bought items from cash shop after all test phases. Otherwise people will save all or most of the purchases for release. Albion Online for example wiped everything and refunded the gold after every server wipe.

let us test the shop. each test tier (alpha, beta, release) refund the points. i dont want to spend my gold now to have something better release between now and release.

ima not fussed either way if it is refunded or not... i am gonna buy them all again regardless... if something better comes out, all the more reason to support the devs further. If you really think you might not want something later, why risk buying it in the first place? there will be plenty of other people to test them regardless

I would have to agree on removing stuff tested during alpha/beta. Accounts are wiped anyway for anything accomplished on characters so why not wipe the purchases as well.

They are just cosmetics item similar to others we alredy have from pledge packets or the foundation, no need to test everyone if they work with the same mechanics. A founder bed is a bed, a tier 2 legendary pet companion is a pet companion ecc.ps. May be useful to know if only shop items or either ks\pledge pack items will be aviable in alpha2.

that's not how cash shops work in test phases.
they get your money when you purchase the fake currency. you get that fake currency to buy things. when the accounts are wiped any fake currency you purchased is refunded while the items you purchased are removed.
example:
you buy 20k dynamite gold (just calling it gold from here on). you spend 15k gold buying cosmetics. between alpha 2 and alpha 3 they wipe the accounts. you're refunded 15k gold. at the start of alpha 3 you have 20k gold again. if you spend 20k gold then decide to buy 5k gold more and spend that, at the end of alpha 3 you get 25k gold back.this test the cash shop purchasing. is the gold removed from the account. is the item given. are there any exploits that cause gold to be infinite or items to be spawned infinite. it test they're able to remove the items from accounts.
