What is called human transform for Beastman?
-
We will have angels, demons and liches, but what will be human that transforms to beastman? Have there been any official information related to this or at least speculative rumours?
-
@Tuoni Furry.
In all honesty, Humans don't transform to Beastmen so I don't know what you're talking about.
-
Maybe we can have a kind of werewolf But in fact, humans stay as boring as they are :3

I would prefer FluffyIn all honesty, Humans don't transform to Beastmen so I don't know what you're talking about.
I don't know.. There is going to be Lich transform for evil, so why not something for beastman direction as well?
-
@Tuoni Lich is not evil, Lich is neutral

Okay.. It does not look like it, but okay.
-
And does not sound neutral either. Now that Lich concept feels kind of weird..
-
Agreed

@Tuoni Jacopo talks about the Lich a bit
at 25:55 and 37:25PS: Jacopo talks a bit slow in the Q&As, to save some time you can speed them up to 1.5 / 1.75

Well I do not actually need a proof and I believe you, but my point was that the idea of neutral Lich does not sound right, it feels kind of weird and gives wrong first impression. I understand that there is a place for human/neutral transformation, but now I hope devs would have chosen something else, something more believeable, something more suitable.

@Tuoni Well it was more of... trying to give you, as well as future readers of this post, some sources of information I know, in case you have not seen them yet and are interested
Well, a Lich is not really "neutral", as Jacopo says in this video, a Lich will keep the karma and alignment a character had before the transformation, so it can become anything... good, neutral or evil.

Okay, thank you for that.

This information is not helping my pain. Good Lich? What is that? I guess it is better if you do not tell me more.

@Eurav
That is a lich:

I made some research, because this Lich matter bothers me. So I checked how Lich and alignments goes together in D&D settings from where this system has borrowed at first place. I found this:
"Alignment
Depending on the method of becoming a lich, a lich can be of any alignment, retaining whatever alignment it had in life.
Liches are mostly evil but there are references to good liches.
The reasons for good beings to become liches are limited but most of them come down to unfulfilled quests in life, guardianship over ancient evil and the oversight of future generations.
The process for being a good lich is more difficult to discover and in many campaign settings does not exist at all. In general, the process of becoming a lich has very evil requirements possibly making it hard for good people to retain a good alignment."So it seams that good and neutral liches are possible, if we examine D&D, but really rare. Okay this helps me to understand more devs idea, even to most people liches are only pure evil creatures. That is the way how I have seen those described in every other fantasy game, movie or literature. Still weird, but somehow acceptable.
EDIT: Typo fantasy -γ literature

Usually Lich are assosiacted with Evil because in mostly scenarios a powerfull mage decide to bargain with evil powers to obtain immortality in a fast way.
But on D&D classic lore (just to name the more "canon") also Neutral and Good aligned chars can become Lich, but the process requires tons of research and efforts in order to be achieved.On Fractured universe it seems a good choice for the Humans, imho.

@Tuoni did you just assume the liches alignment based on looks* hmph * shame on you

I like the idea of a werewolf. Or even other kinds of "were" creatures. They don't necessarily have a "good" reputation, but a neutral Lich seems like justification enough for breaking the mold.
But, if humans could transform to Beastman, then they ought to be able to transform to Demons, too, just not as Abominations. Maybe as Vampires?

Not only. Like I wrote before: "That is the way how I have seen those described in every other fantasy game, movie or literature."
