This totally looks like what I would like to do maybe it is still early to think about it thoroughly, but I was wondering whether to go "magical or physical"..

I'd say it depends on your immersion preferences. Do you want to be survivalist focusing on hunting with bow, fishing, skinning animals with a dagger, and fighting bear with a sword when needed, or do you want to be a wandering wizard (ab)using magic to get around everything.

Merchant, raider, etc.
-
@dagimir By raider would you mean, raiding Hamlet's and merchant caravans?

I will let surprise by myself while playing. It depends in how i like the skill that i have just learned. And iβm quite sure we will be able to combine both

This means you are going with all attributes balanced around the middle?
-
@gothix honestly, i donβt have an idea, where i will landing with my character at βthe endβ... hopefully standing in front of my enemy who is kissing the dust
-
I need taming before being able to speack on this topic
-
Well, that's still a potential thing. We just need to get some more people in here and buying into it XD
-
Definitely ranger. Although as we find out more about the economic systems I may spend equal time in that arena.
-
Hard to say what type of archetype I will chose, as I have played and enjoyed many different paths to take. I often play healer/caster when there are dedicated roles. A game like this I can see myself playing many different roles before settling.
-
@kralith ahah all the more like i'd like my character to be
-
bro where are the healers in this question
-
I plan on making 3 characters 1 wolf-kin 1 human and 1 shadow demom the wolf-kin I plan on making my support character sense itβs their really good at buffing allies the human will be my main character that will be my Tank/merchant character and then for the shadow demon I want to build full damage and crit so he will be my pvp assassin/archer character

@kairosval What's a catenary? Excuse my ignorance.
-
But to answer the actual study: I put Berserker as my archetype, but I plan to wield a two handed weapon rather than dual-wielding.
I'll have a splash of magic in there too, but not enough to qualify as multiclass in my view.
-
@kairosval I was confused about the catenary, but as I clicked the link I shook my head a little bit. Lol.
I think a tad of magic could either refine a build or make it unbalanced, would you be going for attack buffs, defense or CC?
-
@TheGreatElleon
I'll refine the specifics later once the game is up, but right now if we assume 8 slots for abilities, I'm expecting a breakdown something like this for my 2-Handed Berserker hellfire demon:- Standard attack ability, standard DPS (Warfare)
- Alternate attack ability, burst or AoE DPS (Warfare)
- Charge/leap/initiate/escape ability (Warfare)
- Stun/CC ability (Warfare)
- Slow/interrupt debuff ability (Warfare)
- Fire-based damage ability (Evocation)
- Context-dependent abjuration ability (Abjuration)
- Context-dependent divination ability (Divination)
Obviously that depends massively on some assumptions about what will be in the game. For example, I'm expecting that there will be an ability to jump and strike the ground with a two-handed weapon that could be used to close the distance to an enemy, and that there may be a stomp ability that does a brief AoE stun, and that there will be a snare ability to slow individual opponents, all within the Warfare school. Any of that may turn out to be false, so obviously I might have to change things around a bit.
And I'm assuming that divination will have at least one quality-of-life ability that I'll want to have on me to make PvE easier that's worth a slot in this build.
If my assumptions hold and a build like this turns out to be viable, this feels more like a primarily warrior/berserker build with a splash of magic thrown in, rather than a true multiclass character.
