Racial Diversity of Fractured Visualized

Many valid points @fibs and I understoud that it was never going to be perfect. Just liked the idea of a crude illustration of how the player base is looking in terms of race diversity ingame.

tion hero creator to begin with.
(as noted by @Greenfire ) Players who are setting up alignment / mixed-race guilds all have to choose the same race so that the antiquated Foundation system will let them join the same guild. There is no plausible way to determine which characters are "legitimate" and which race was intended for those that aren't.
Some users may have experimented curiously with random options on the hero creator and then left whatever was there as-is.
Some users may have left the community already, leaving their now-irrelevant characters in the database.
Some users may have created alternate accounts with similar characters to their legitimate base account. I would presume that this would be more common with Demon players, as they will generally be more traditionally competitive and therefore be more likely to "plan" alt accounts, even if they're not used as sock puppet Foundation referrals.
The Foundation does not currently support Abomination or Angel displays; we can't accurately presume which race a given user wishing to main one of these chose in their stead as either may be stood in for by a Beastman or Demon.Well this is an insight of a precise fraction of time, for sure in Alpha 1 with only Arboreus planet aviable there will be way more vegeta..ehm beasts around!

I thought the early alphas would only have humans. Are they temporarily dummying humans out for Alpha 1 to focus on developing Arboreus and/or focusing on Demons for Alpha 2?

Give this man a pre alpha key.
And a cookie. Never forget the cookies! Chocolate cookies on that.
-
@00 It's my understanding that only humans will be available in alpha 1.... we have not had anyone say anything differently on that one.
-
I will definitely take a cookie if you got one @phaethonas

I'm genuinely surprised that hellfire demons are winning out over the other racial sub-types. That's what I'm going for, sure. But I assumed that vampires or stealthy assassins would draw more interest than beefy tanks.
Will be interesting how this compares to the eventual population breakdown in the release.
-
Ya I can't wait to see how it compares and in all honesty the demons are pretty badass so I'm not super surprised @kairosval
-
I guess, at somepoint after chracter creation. We will see a shift towards humans/ beastman.
But a nearly even split is kind of nice~
-
Possibly but it could also lean in the favor of the demons after, we will just have to wait and see @greenfox

I Agree!

interesting, nice!

I know it's still early, but I will say this...
If they keep Demons as "FFA PvP", you're going to have a lot of people re-rolling.
30 percent of the population is not about that life. I promise you.

They are keeping demons FFA PvP, and I'm glad they doing so. Since, a lot of people think Demons are going to work together which is a laugh, and turn the game into FvFvF. Which fuck that, if anyone not in my guild then you good as dead as demon, human, and or beastman.
-
@dulu Amen! That's a lot of time put in.
-
well thats amazingly balanced. im pretty surprised.
as for why demons seem to be in higher count, my guess is that since the hardcore pvp mmo crowd doesnt really have a place to be, theres gonna be more of us looking for mmos that arent released yet. when the game is released and if decent word of mouth goes off and the game becomes more popular, im guessing there will be significantly more humans and furries compared to now.
-
@dulu yes we are. my main issue is that clans will likely become a thing and tartar sauce will turn into a zergfest, so if the devs could somehow discourage demons ganging up on other demons thatd be nice, i have no idea how they would go about doing that though.

I don't think you undestand Dulu, he wants Demons to be FFA PvP. So, does myself and no if demons want to gang on each other then let them it's their problem for picking the race.
-
@agracore Unlikely but possible ^^.
Atleast statisticaly, any player will have a demon character at a point. But only one of the others.
O rnone of the others. So that could screw the statisitc, ingame character wise.
Demons just have a high atk potential from stats alone and a certain appeal ^^.

Not so much "work together" as "form a few influential guilds who everyone else is afraid of".
So yes, Tartaros will likely form a few large factions. I wouldn't expect more than three (and more likely two). Not every single Demon will be part of one of these loose political parties - I doubt that they together will have more than half of all Demons in their ranks - and I doubt that any members of a given faction will be particularly loyal to one another.
If you're expecting every single Demon to be a solo player, though, or are trying to do so yourself, you're going to be humiliated quickly and repeatedly.
