It's not his love and dedication that people worry about. Most unfortunately, everybody needs to pay for a living and if funds for the project run dry (you can not 'milk' a community forever), there's little alternative. That's why I wish they would start to put a foot down and seriously focus on nothing else but work on pushing out VoxElyria / Kingdoms of Elyria. That would convince a few more people to contribute on the project financially and thus drastically increase the chance for the game to exist.

Not really, no.- Cyberpunk 2077 is an open world single player story driver game, just like Witcher 3 (it's from the creators of W3 too)
- Metro 2035 is a post-apocalyptic game set in Russia, and the upcoming title in a series (Metro 2033, Last Light)
- S.T.A.L.K.E.R is another post apocalyptic game with open world and quests. (previous titles: STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl, Clear Sky, Call of Pripyat)
- Ready or Not is a more realistic tactical shooter than Rainbow Six: Siege, it can be called SWAT 4 too I believe.
- Fallout 4 is Fallout 4, everybody knows what that is
