suggestion: add to the knowledge book a photo of the item
-
for example in the tree section you have a photo of the cut tree and branches, add the raw tree, so it will be easy to find when you need it.

@GorTavaro i want it ingame, and not the log i want the tree
-
@grofire I understand you want it in game, but i don't see reason why you couldn't use wiki if you have problem to find certain trees. Link i sent have pictures of trees in game.

@GorTavaro i have an issue to remember how every thing is look like, and i think many people have it too, and i do not want to alt out every time to see a photo, and there is already a place for photos in the knowledge book, so why not ?
and i understand you are a wiki editor, but you do not need to push the wiki pages to every place. my suggestion is about ingame data that should be ingame.

@grofire
I taste the trees myself to figure out which it is.Atm one of the ways I can tell what i've just chopped down is if i I have a cart with me. If you pick up one of the logs and put it in your cart, it'll tell you what wood it is.
I would prefer if I know what tree i'm about to cut down though with the 'knowledge' system.

Since when we move the mouse, we do not see the name of the system of knowledge and the images of objects are very important. I will be very happy to see such a change in the knowledge book.

There are only 7 trees to remember, so at the moment it's not really hard is it ?.
Obviously if the number increases it would become more taxing as the differences would be less noticeable.
It would make the game far easier to navigate if everything had a mouse over description, but do we really want to dumb down this game as well.

@Stacy555 you know its not just for trees right ?

@Stacy555 you know its not just for trees right ?
Sure but, flowers are all very different and easy to identify !!! and a rock is a rock (unless it's a small stone) ?

Actually, I kind of prefer having to pick an herb to get info about it. There are a few that look relatively similar, and I like the fact I get frustrated sometimes thinking I'm picking say Dandalion and I instead pick up some Arnica.
Too many tool tips, as was said, dumbs down the game. Having some pictures in the Knowledge book might be nice, but I would say add that in if/when they start making plants just like creature knowledge, where you gradually get to 100%, and only at 75-100% would I add the pictures in. (and only in the book, no hover over tooltips)

I agree that we need to have a popup or something for the things we discovered. For all those saying using the "wiki", that isn't efficient and I don't want to have to leave the environment to discover this or spend time searching in a "book" for something I already discovered. This is a video game, not real life.

Gonna +1 this OP
I've had several experiences where I've been too busy dealing with mobs to read about them at the time, and then later look at my book by the campfire and wonder how I'll recognize one spider from another or one kind of goblin from another the next time I encounter them.
It's definitely not priority, but a thumbnail image is, realistically, part of ANY actual compendium or encyclodedia of Knowledge about the World.
