How big should guilds allowed to be?
-
The new update comes with some info about guilds -> source
Guilds
Unlikely parties, guilds are persistent social structures. They allow players to- Share a private global chat with other guild members;
- Share access to houses and house items such as containers;
- See the location of other guild members on the minimap;
- Form alliances with other guilds;
- Wage war to other guilds.
We have no plan to limit the amount of players that can be members of the same guild, but this is something we might reconsider in the future.
-
yeah big bummer there -.-
-
Im going to be following this thread, it's a really interesting way to learn about some of the communities ideas/opinions.

With the requirements to fulfill from the knowledge tree though you will have both sides complaining about each area lol.
I'm sure a pvper can cope with not pvping for a few hours
But some pve only players will complain if they cant do everything with out pvping
I used to play wow, I dont like raid Mentality of spergs who want you overgeard, and know the run perfectly on your first run. So I didnt raid.
Cant get everything you want sure I would have liked to be able to get the best kit in game solo but it's tough lol

@Shivashanti Yeah totally agree. Albion is an example of what I don't want to see happen here. I was completely turned off the moment I hit mid level and saw the impact guilds had. Stopped playing the next week.
-
Artificial limits are worthless anyways, it is not a big deal that it will not play a factor.
Thankfully friendly fire, over extending resources and so forth should hopefully be a thing? Cannot remember, but would be silly if not.
-
no friendly fire or guild member limits planned as for now, confirmed by the devs @Pluto
-
@Shivashanti where did you saw it ? im follow this subject for a very long time, and do not remember seeing them change their minds about it...
and last time i saw, FF was on in demon and human planets, in guild too.
-
they confirmed it in discord that there will be no friendly fire inbetween guilds

so 1 guild can exist on the demon planet to prevent FF... all negative karma humans can be in a guild to negate FF there.
-
sorry i don't meant inbetween guilds, i meant no friendly fire in one guild. but yeah now that you mention it one hyperbig demon guild will prevent demons to fight each other too, as for now but i guess they will implement something to prevent such stuff
-
@Shivashanti i think you might have misunderstand. this feature was promoted form the beginning, to change it, without saying so, on the official site seem to me unlikely.

have those that wanna fight just gquit. to have gvg just have those that want to fight over something create a temporary guild for it.
-
Limiting giuld member number could be ok as long as limitation isnt too harsh, but still prevents mega guilds.
-
How much has been spotlighted on guilds? Most of the games I've played recently that had guilds had time limits on dropping and joining another. So doing anything temporarily would not work. Also if a guild has any kind of ranking bonuses players are not going to just abandon their guild for a fight. As a guildmaster, if I had to manually add a player back into my guild I wouldn't do it for players who kept jumping ship to go pvp and wasting my time.

@Shivashanti if that true its weird they didn't post it on the site...
i hope its not true, since it was a big idea, why i fought this game will work.
no FF is both less immersive and enabling for a huge zerg to destroy the servers, FF give you a chance to play tactical fighting where a small force can win over a big force, and not just play who can bring more players to the fight. @Prometheus @Specter
-
@grofire well that's the point of bringing up this thread
-
fact is we need more spotlights!! these content pills aren't enough.

Disagree, Love the pills
