RE: Death Penalty of losing all gear and inventory: WORST IDEA EVER!!!
@Gothix said in Death Penalty of losing all gear and inventory: WORST IDEA EVER!!!:
On Arboreus you will not loose your gear. Even if your stuff drops on ground, you can go back and collect it again, and noone can steal it from you in the meantime, because all are good alligned.
Unless there are server problems, which will cause you to dc and die to mobs and not be able to retrieve your items in time, as it happened on Albion f2p launch.
PS: Losing gear on death is one of the core features of full loot pvp games. What happens in this thread is similar to asking for a top-down camera in call of duty.

RE: INT stat not increasing memory points
@Kralith said in INT stat not increasing memory points:
@Razvan Why making it so complicated?
A simple description ingame, that INT from Character Selection and Talents only gives Memory Points would be enough to make it clear for everyone.Because this way INT will be the only stat that is less powerful if it comes from additional source. If you want to create a versatile character (all stats 14-16), when you'll change to mage you'll have 8 fewer memory points compared to a native mage with the same INT. Besides, the fix is quite trivial.

Thats intended, because you could abuse the system, if you equip items, memorize more abilities with your more INT and then simply remove the items again and go with less INT but more abilities to adventures.
So no bug at all.A simple check can prevent the system from being abused: if you go below the needed memory points when unequipping an item, you get an error message "amulet cannot be removed because you'd have too few memory points". If you die with such an amulet on and you go below the memory points, then at respawn the game forces you to switch loadouts. Such a system should be implemented anyway for talent tree, because, as others said, int from there can also be abused.
Another solution is not to be able to use any ability as long as you don't have enough memory points. -
RE: shitty game
@munch @Roccandil
Fractured is much more forgiving than Albion when dying to PvE. After you died once, it's easy to understand what went wrong and how to avoid it. In Albion you lose durability, which lowers your IP and can be quite expensive to repair. I haven't played the game in 2 years now, but I remember how painful it was getting a bad party and dying in HCE. -
RE: Is a Quarterstaff a 'Blunt Weapon'?
I don't know now, but in the last test it was a blunt weapon. It's an easy way to test: equip a quarterstaff, create a talent loadout with blunt weapon proficiencies, and one without. Change between the 2 loadouts and check the stats.

RE: Power Gap Struggles
SO FAR the devs focused on the clan/party content. It doesn't mean we'll never have solo content, but we don't have it yet.

RE: shitty game
To be fair, full loot pvp mmo is a niche subgenre in general, so it's no surprise that some people will not like it. You're one of them. What's not understandable is why did you have the urge to create this thread and insult people instead of going on with your life. I hope you find a game that better suits you requirements and wish you the best!

RE: Forged Hammer???
I like this as long as they don't go full Albion way and introduce gathering armors.
