@asspirin
If you go for the most efficient build, you should match your most important attribute with your affinity. A bear-kin with 20int has considerably less points to spend on other stats than a bear-kin with 20con.

RE: Knowledge System Account Wide
@Jetah A bunch of the skills already implemented in the game are the "kill this mob a bunch of times" type. You have to go there and kill that mob until you get the skill. Or maybe you need to travel to a hot area with high ganking activity. Regardless of how you name the process of acquiring a full build, it's time consuming and the more it takes, the less chance someone will have it unlocked unless they really want it.
The point I want to stress is that it would suck if there would be a very strong chasing/escaping skill unlocked by some worldboss and doing that boss on your healer would unlock it on every character you create (especially your ganker).@Nyquil44 After a short while there'll be a DB with every mob out there anyway, so it doesn't really matter and it adds some exploration element to the first wave of players.

RE: Knowledge System Account Wide
@Jetah This can be said about any game. For example, in post-f2p Albion you could join squad and 400 a build in hotf/poe in no time. Even so, most of the people I saw at zvz were not even close to that. Knowing how to powerlevel still takes effort which most people are not willing to do.

RE: Knowledge System Account Wide
@Jetah you still have to go there and actually do the thing with a character that isn't very good at it
@Farlander some skills are better than others and obviously a toon with access to a full build is stronger than a character with only half the skills needed unlocked

RE: Knowledge System Account Wide
If they did this everyone would have a bunch of alts - they would have an efficient pve character and then all sorts of niche characters that are usually very hard to level up (for example single target high mobility ganker). Do you want everyone to have a free efficient ganking character that otherwise would be very hard to level up? I wouldn't.

RE: Give us Attribute Resets please
@Logain Because that's going to be my roleplay good-enough for pve character. My main will be either a minmaxed mdps hellfire, or bear-kin tank.
-
RE: Give us Attribute Resets please
As Jetah said, the racial bonuses only restrict some min-max combinations. It's not like I can't make a balanced viable spear mdps deer-kin if I wish so.
PS: Is there any information if the racial bonuses are applied before or after picking stats in the character creation screen?

RE: Game F2P or P2P
@Jetah Yep, I hope they think in advance and find a sustainable financial model because dramatically changing it a year after release will probably cause a lot of community backlash. Which would suck because this game looks promising.

RE: Game F2P or P2P
@Specter Thanks. So there are no economic aspects related to premium? Do you know of any plans regarding a gold market (where players can trade between eachother silver for gold)? It was quite fun playing the market in Albion.
PS: Do we have any info on when will the foundation end? -
RE: Game F2P or P2P
@Specter Did they disclose what are the advantages of premium? If it's similar to Albion, are they also going to implement the gold market?

RE: Give us Attribute Resets please
@Shivashanti Skills are affected by stats. If you minmax and one patch they decide to change the way one of your main skills scales with stats, you pretty much fucked up that character. Or if they neglect a class so much that they become absolutely useless (for example single target mdps - glaive from Albion) and you are playing that, you're fucked again. Not to mention that the meta keeps changing and you have to adapt to what other people are doing, so the optimal rdps build 6 months after launch will probably be very different than the optimal one 3 years after launch.
All in all, I think the whole stats system is a bad idea which only brings restrictions. In Albion if the healer left, one of the dps could trade the gear and they became the new healer. -
RE: Give us Attribute Resets please
@Ametrys The problem is that in similar games (example Albion), the gameplay changes dramatically over the years. Items that used to be meta in some scenarios are now useless and some that used to be weak got new amazing skills. My guess is that this will also happen in Fractured and it will really suck to have a character build around something that will become absolutely useless in two years.

RE: How should shields work? WoW vs. Vermintide style
It would be quite annoying to work as in Vermintide since the genre is entirely different, but offhands could diversify builds by giving stats and abilities (like someone else said shield gives a stun, big shield gives bonus passive defense against arrows, small shield blocks any damage you get for 0.5sec, offhand knife reflects the first damage within 0.33sec , cloak gives brief invisibility etc).

RE: Give us Attribute Resets please
Some people like to have a bunch of alts, others don't.
I think they could make seasons, which seems to be a popular tactic these days: before each season they should let us know of the upcoming major game changes (new mechanics and big balance changes) and grant us one respec. Another idea is to basically copy the respec system from Albion. -
RE: How to turn off forum notifications for NOT watched threads and replies?
It's a bit annoying to turn it off for every category out there, but it worked! Thanks a lot!

How to turn off forum notifications for NOT watched threads and replies?
As the title says, it's annoying to get notifications from threads like daily message posting.

RE: How important is choosing a race?
@asspirin Ah, we can move from one planet to another with the same character? I only loosely followed Fractured's development, but I was under the impression that each planet is a different server with specific thematic (pve only, pvp allowed and full loot pvp).
So, all in all, this is just like Albion with blue, yellow and red/black zones. However, they said you can progress to the endgame in blue zones. How will the game economy be balanced based on this?
