RE: Becomming an Angel or Abommination
Traditionally, there's too many traditions to count. In Judeo-Christian mythology, it's generally accepted that demons are fallen angels, in some versions however they are wicked human souls (usually with Lilith being the first demon), Nephilim (half-angels, half-humans) are supposedly evil spirits and therefore demonic, and in Islam they're something entirely different (demons are born of fire, whereas angels are born of light). Of course, the concept of good spirits and bad spirits predates all these religions, but that's not very relevant here.
My point is, there are many versions and interpretations of these mythologies, and Fractured doesn't have to bother with sticking to one of them. This game takes place in a completely new universe after all, and Fractured angels and demons aren't the same as angels and demons in our mythologies. Maybe in the Fractured world, angels can become evil again, maybe they can turn back into demons, or maybe they're just incapable of doing bad things and lowering their karma. Who knows? That's for the devs to decide.
Personally, I'd like it if angels could at least become neutral, since I'd like to try playing as an angel at least once, but being forced to have my alignment set to "good" would become annoying very quickly.

RE: AFK activity in game ? (ex: fishing)
Basically, you set up your character to do an activity (for example in fishing, you make him sit down in front of a lake and pull out a fishing rod), then you just ignore the game for a while and go watch a movie or something for a few hours while the game plays itself. People sometimes spend entire days doing that instead of actually playing the game.

RE: Suggestion: Demon Bone Armor/Weapon
They do have access to iron, and other metals are "rare" meaning that they are there, just in small quantities. What I would really love to see for demons is weapons made of obsidian, since it's mentioned in the Planets spotlight specifically. There are some interesting designs that they could go for, for example imagine something like this:
That's a Macuahuitl, an Aztec weapon made out of obsidian shards affixed to a wooden handle. They were more fragile than weapons made of metal, but they were a lot sharper. Now, the ones that existed in real life were made using wood, but there won't really be trees on Tartaros. Instead, coming back to the original point of this thread, maybe they could use bones? Imagine the weapon from the image above, except with a large bone instead of the wooden handle. That definitely sounds like something a demon would make, and it makes sense for them to use the materials that they have on hand. -
RE: Suggestion: Demon Bone Armor/Weapon
They could, but since metals are scarce on Tartaros, they'll probably have to raid the other two planets to get anything other than iron.
Stone is common on Tartaros – sandstone, granite and obsidian in particular – and frequently used by demons to erect the buildings of their unholy cities. Metals besides iron are rare, but weapons made of the latter have already taken the life of thousands of creatures, in Tartaros and outside.

Are you 100% sure you clicked on this "TWEET" button under the post?
It doesn't work if you click on anything else. -
RE: Why did You Choose To Look And Support This Game
I've always wanted to see an MMO without levels that's done right, hopefully Fractured will be the one I've been looking for.

RE: AFK activity in game ? (ex: fishing)
I doubt it, since it would end up being only used by people on Arboreus. You can be killed on Syndesia and Tartaros, and people who are afk and obviously can't fight back would be the best victims. There could be fishing in some form, but I doubt it would be an AFK activity.

RE: Loot system
It's easy to hide something from pickpockets, but from someone who's looting your corpse? There's literally nowhere they can't look, and there aren't many options to begin with. Gold pouches are pretty bulky, after all.

RE: Anyone knows which classes?
Also, the FAQ. There's a reason why we have one of these on the forums now. Link here.

RE: Suggestion: Demon Bone Armor/Weapon
We're talking about using the bones of your enemies to make gear. That's not really the same thing as using animal bones, and I doubt the beastman culture would allow something like this when they're not even allowed to kill each other. If killing your enemy is outlawed, then making a dagger out of his ribcage afterwards surely isn't allowed either.

RE: Crafting system and lifeskilling suggestion
Equal in this context means equally useful, therefore there won't be any weapons that are objectively superior.
In most classic RPGs, you'd typically start with an iron sword, then you'd work your way up to steel, which would deal more damage and just be overall better. In Fractured, maybe the iron sword would have less durability, but you could deal the same amount of damage with it. And since weapons can be repaired, if steel is scarce on the market, it might be better to pick the iron one and repair it with cheap iron often than to pick the steel sword and have nothing to repair it with when its durability is low.
It also depends on your playstyle, since some players will prefer a shorter, faster sword, whereas others might pick a slower one with more reach. Both deal similar DPS, therefore they're equal, but players will choose the one that suits them best.

RE: Suggestion: Demon Bone Armor/Weapon
It would be interesting if you needed very low karma to craft these, and having them equipped would slowly lower your karma each day. It makes sense for "good" players to avoid using gear that's made out of people, after all.
@finland said in suggestion: Demon Bone Armor/Weapon:
Something restricted to Demons only.. You shoud suggest something for each race ;). Why not giving this option to all races?
It makes sense to give this to demons, since it fits their culture. Humans already have exclusive steam technology, and beastmen probably wouldn't really approve of using gear made out of your enemies. Wooden weapons might be an interesting exclusive for beastmen, since those were actually used in real life by some cultures. It's pretty fascinating stuff, I'd recommend
to anyone who wants to know more.I'd say this bone gear (and possibly the wooden gear, while we're on the topic) shouldn't be strictly exclusive though, not like human technologies are. I'd make it so that the recipes only drop on Tartaros (and Arboreus for the wooden stuff), but any crafter with the recipe can make them.
Showing people killed by mouseovering the armor pieces is a bad idea. You could add it as an extra description while inspecting each piece.
Why is it a bad idea?

RE: Loot system
@jetah said in Loot system:
bandit has x but only drops x/4. if your luck is good they may drop x/2.
And the rest of what he has just magically disappears?
I don't think realism is such a huge problem, though. If we wanted complete realism, we'd have to be able to pick up gear from mobs as well, which most likely won't be a thing.
@gothix said in Loot system:
Also what if more people with different charisma were hitting the mob? We would just have unnecessary complications. And little by little such complications build up and drain more and more of Fractured computing resources.
This I imagine would be a much bigger problem, which is why mechanics like that usually only exist in single-player games. Either it would count the player with the highest luck, in which case all parties would want a person with maxed out luck to just stand around the general area and provide a loot drop bonus, or it would count the average luck of everyone who's hitting it, in which case people with high luck would always choose to go solo when hunting for rare loot.

RE: Crafting system and lifeskilling suggestion
Also 2 mechanic for crafing i have seen in the game crowfall that would be nice to have would be the ability to craft an item with different part. For exemple, a sword would need a blade and a knob. Depending on wich combnation you have the stats will be different.
I usually really like mechanics like this, but I don't think it would be a good fit for Fractured. Since it's an isometric game, there'd be no point in making them visually different, and since all weapons will be equal in stats (note: equal doesn't mean the same), the difference in stats between similar weapons will likely be so small that splitting it up into sub-components wouldn't really make sense.
The second mechanic is the ability to tag the item you make with your name soo you gain some renown in the community if you are able to make great waepon.
There was some discussion about a similar topic in this thread.

RE: How to share to facebook?
But they're not turned on by default, are they? I'd assume the person would realise that's the problem if they'd enabled it themselves.

RE: How to share to facebook?
We can rule out uBlock Origin, I have it and it has no effect on these buttons at all. Maybe one of the other adblockers could be the cause.

RE: Community Call - Translation Help Needed!
Just adding my own two cents here, but to me personally "experience the revolution" feels like watching a movie, whereas "join" means having an actual role and doing something. I guess it's different for each person.
