The combat style of Fractured is comparable to a MOBA; just imagine an open-world LoL or DotA 2. For specifics, you'd be best off reading the spotlights that can be found under the News section on the main website.

RE: Game Idea : Relic War (PVP) and other game mode
I'd much rather have it work with guilds rather than karma to be honest, since it kind of undermines the entire concept of a political system. Not all good guilds are on the same side, not all evil guilds are on the same side, but with a system like this, they'd be forced to cooperate just to stay competitive.
My suggestion is, make the buffs small enough so that they don't really make a difference in the long run, and put the relics on asteroids so that guilds from all planets have an equal chance to get one.

RE: Game Idea : Relic War (PVP) and other game mode
It could be possible. These temples would probably be in cities, so they could be stolen after a successful siege. New relics could be found on asteroids - or maybe relic shards, which would then have to be reassembled by a master smith.
The buff would have to be small enough to keep things balanced, and I'm not sure if it should affect combat stats to be honest. Maybe just gathering and crafting buffs would be preferable. There could be buffs that only trigger during a siege, so that they wouldn't affect regular gameplay, such as a relic that gives defenders +5% attack when the relic is held in the defended city.

RE: Thoughts On Arenas
The same rules still apply to them, no matter their alignment; no killing on Arboreus, guild law on Syndesia, and just random slaughter on Tartaros. Arenas wouldn't really have an effect on any of these.
I imagine arena sizes would vary depending on the city. That's something players would have to account for as well when picking their strategies and equipment.

RE: Thoughts On Arenas
I don't see how that could happen in Fractured, to be honest.
- Beastmen don't really have any open world PvP to speak of, so no issue there.
- For humans, murder (ie. open world PvP) will be punished by guild law, so people won't do it unless it's worth it, like for equipment or loot, in which case arenas won't really have an effect on that.
- I doubt anything can stop demons from randomly murdering each other, let's be real.

RE: Why Twitter twits, and FB posts, doesnt's count to the lvl system ?
Weird, I'm on Firefox with a ton of extensions and it works fine for me.

Are you sure you don't have a facebook-blocking extension or something similar installed? For me, it looks like this:

RE: Thoughts On Arenas
True, but then, would it really be a good idea to attack a city that is currently housing the best fighters of the region?

Thoughts On Arenas
We had a thread about arenas here a while ago. It got derailed because of people discussing whether betting in arenas would be legal, so I'm just going to say that while I personally support the idea of betting on arena fights, and I don't think it would be illegal since no real money is being exchanged, that's not the point of this thread. So, thoughts:
Arenas could be some of the biggest attractions of player-controlled cities, if done right. There could be 1v1 duels, group fights, monster battles... I imagine in beastman arenas, you could only fight until your opponent is unconscious, while demons would let you murder and loot your enemy without restrictions. For humans, it would probably depend on the laws of the guild controlling the city the arena is in.
It's a good way to introduce PvP to players who are normally skeptical of it because of its chaotic nature.
A guild could decide to hold a tournament at one of their cities to increase prosperity, rewarding the victor with gold and items out of the guild's own treasury.
There could be tournaments for wielders of specific weapons (such as swords, staves etc), each with their own leaderboards, and the top wielders of each weapon could get unique titles.
I'm not sure if Fractured will have mounted combat, but if so: jousting.
Since cities will be in different regions with different climates, professional arena fighters would have to analyse before each fight what kind of gear-skill combos would work best in this particular arena.
Guilds would fight over the prestige of having the best duelers, like sports teams do over players in real life. This could be one of the most lucrative professions fit for the most skilled of players (with the most time to kill in real life).

RE: Do we have to play pressing 6 buttons/spell
Honestly, I prefer having passives active without having to waste a slot on them, but I'll admit they usually end up making you too OP that way, so this is probably the best choice. For example, if you compare the old and the new Sonny games, you could be a lot more OP in the old ones since passives were unlimited. Once you unlocked them, you had them forever.
So yeah, in the long run having passives in your skill slots would probably be for the best. Unless there's a second hotbar just for passives, so you'd have your main bar with 8 slots, and maybe a smaller bar with 4 slots just for passives? That could work, but it might be harder to balance the game around a system like that.

RE: when is the release and how much
Alpha will probably be around late 2018/early 2019, keep your eyes on their kickstarter for details once it comes out. Should be about $30.

RE: Community Call - Translation Help Needed!
Just click the "close tab" button on the top right. GG.
Just checking, were the translations okay? I forgot to mention earlier, but we assumed "shepers" is supposed to be shepherds. Let me know if we got that part wrong.

That won't work, you need to go to the news article pages here on fracturedmmo.com and click on the share buttons below the articles.

RE: Community Call - Translation Help Needed!
I ended up asking a Polish friend of mine, who helped me translate the whole thing. Kudos to her, hopefully she might join the forum one day. Here it is, in a textbin to make the post shorter. I did the Czech version as well while I was at it, just in case you ever find a use for it. Cheers!

RE: Other mmo?
Am I really the only SpatialOS fanboy here? Worlds Adrift just came to Steam Early Access, come on guys!

RE: Legendary weapons
Seeing as all advantages in this game are supposed to be situational, not objective, I doubt we'll see weapons that are so obviously superior. Especially since the vast majority of equipment in this game is going to be crafted, not looted.

RE: Question about being a game tester
I'm not 100% sure, but if I remember correctly, the procedural generation is just a tool the devs use and then manually build the map on top of it, which would mean the land would stay the mostly the same between builds.
About the resets, maybe the devs could give the alpha testers access to some pre-defined characters that already have some skills unlocked to make testing easier. Obviously this would be useless when testing skill acquisition, but when they want us to test combat, exploration and such, it might be quicker this way.

RE: Community Call - Translation Help Needed!
I know some Polish, but you'd probably want someone more fluent to give it a shot first, if such a person is available. I could translate into Czech much more easily, in case you guys ever decide you want to tackle that particular market.

RE: I want to get excited but...
I'd assume there'll be a lot more humans, since they're the 'moderate' faction, with the most freedom and least penalties. Politics will matter a lot more for humans as well, so players who are interested in these things will most likely make human characters. Probably a lot of hardcore crafters as well, since humans will get exclusive technologies.

RE: Interested
If you're considering playing as a demon and like being rich, you might be a good fit for Ars Goetia.
