Fractured already has a subreddit. (alternative link for those who hate the new layout). It seems most people stick to the official forum though, probably due to the Foundation.
I stick to the these forums because they're easy to navigate and search - I'd be here even without the Foundation. I tried reddit for a bit and absolutely hated it. I'm rarely on Discord because after a few days I come back to 100+ messages that I don't feel like reading. With the forum threads marked unread, I skim the titles, read what I find interesting and mark the rest as read with minimal hassle.

@Jetah "can't crit if you can't hit
that's my response when people ask if it's better to stat for hit or crit" - so far both crits and accuracy are gained through Perception, so you stat for both, right. I would rather ask, whether dodge mechanic can "weaken attack roll" like "Crit becomes hit, hit becomes graze, graze becomes miss" like in Pillars of Eternity / Grim dawn, or whether its just 100% mitigation of damage on succesfull dodge.Typically things like grazing/glancing blows come from a difference in level between the attacker and defender and since Fractured doesn't have levels, I doubt we'll see that type of mechanic.
Evasion is usually full damage avoidance and doesn't count as a hit so things like "on hit" effects wouldn't apply. I don't think there is a Dodge stat, pretty sure it's just Evasion although numerous texts in the game mention "dodge" rather than "evade".
Damage mitigation is something different than damage avoidance (evading) in that it would count as a hit otherwise there'd be no damage to mitigate. So things like on hit effects say blind, slow, etc might still take hold even if damage is mitigated to zero due to abilities, armor, blocking, etc.

Sounds like humans have an advantage that's not a 'passive' buff of any sort, but a latitude - a breadth of available options unavailable to pc's native to Tartarus or Arboreus. I'd say that's plenty fair, and an interesting choice.
I'm looking forward to developing a human pc once my Beastling is solid and I know what mistakes I want to avoid
I could be wrong on this, but aren't both beastmen and demon subraces have higher maximum stats?
All races have the same max stats of 25 (unless the cap has changed since last I looked), but beastmen and demons get an affinity stat like Hellfire demon +3 STR which makes it easier to reach a higher stat in STR than a human.
They also get bonuses and penalties which affect how high the stat can be, although I don't recall if the penalty limit is only at character creation or even with talents, gear, etc. For instance a Hellfire demon could only raise their CHA to 15 since they have a -3 penalty.

I like the atmosphere of the Fog much
But what are these ghostlights that came out of the Fog?
Agree, the fog looks pretty good.

@Jetah Is it? We know demons get penalties and that beastmen lose their buffs leaving their planet.
This just means humans don't get bonus nor penalties.
i don't remember it being told before but i may have missed it.
They're sort of penalized on Tartaros by losing Karma (unless this changed), but no penalties on Arboreus (for Good-aligned Humans).
Spotlight #6:
Tartaros
Unlike Beastmen, Humans are generally tolerated by Babilis, who sees a potential for corruption in them. They aren’t directly penalized like Beastmen, but slowly lose Karma over time, unless they enjoy the protection of another God. Tyros, for instance, grants total immunity from the influence of Babilis – but of course, that comes at a price too. While the dark God is not able to reach their souls, it is more than willing to let its children do the dirty job! That is why, one hour after stepping on the planet, the presence of any protegee of Tyros is made known to all Demons in the area!Arboreus
Only Humans with Good alignment are allowed to walk the lands of Arboreus for a considerable amount of time – 20/40 real-world hours, thus being able to explore a good portion of the world at once, collecting resources and acquiring knowledge. -
RE: Critical strikes
@asspirin The only item I've seen with crit chance is Wolf Teeth Necklace at +8%; it also gives a +5 INT.
I assume you have to be hit to be subjected to crits so evade should help to not be hit.
