The description still says, "A piece of cloth made from threads crafted from Plant Fibers." but the ingredients are now 2x Plant Fibers.

How the cost is chosen, I have no idea.
Regarding slots, there is the top bar where in a resting phase you can swap out based on your memory points - so you could put more there than can fit on your hotbar (the bottom bar).
Out of combat, you can take abilities from the top bar and swap into the hotbar without having to rest.

I tested with no armor and if I cast Mage Armor, 300 mana is consumed. I waited for it to regen. I then cast Firebolt and instead of 80 mana consumed, it did indeed consume 300 mana.
I don't think Leather armor is an issue since it seems to be considered "light" armor like cloth. With Hide armor, I can't cast any spells - so it seems the mana malus (which is now removed from tooltips) is replaced with can only cast spells in light armor. If I try with hide on, I get an error message, "Can't cast with medium or heavy armor."

I have no idea what the icons highlighted with a red box are; I assume they are for the different schools. Tooltips for these would be awesome.
