All people are selfish. There is no selfless act, even an "apparent" selfless acts are done just to make oneself "feel better", which is, in the end, also selfish reason.
If you're doing something just to "feel better" you don't have any gain from it so it's selfless act and you're good.
About eating beastkin and humans - hard to say. We cannot compare to RL as the deers don't talk
Then again demons probably shouldn't care and eat even other demons when they're hungry

If demons don’t eat beastkin or humans what’s their fear factor? It would make some great tales for bad children/cubs to say that the demons will eat you if your bad.

It's not a fantasy game unless we can't agree on whether or not a short bearded human eating a tall green human with tusks is cannibalism or not...?
(Although I admit I seem to have had a cached thought, where I thought that often in English "cannibalistic" is [wrongly] used on human-eating animals. It doesn't seem to be the case [whoopsie], and I feel better about language purity [yaaay].)

Hmm. How would -you- know?Of course, it would seem some of the demons get sustenance from blood, so there's that. Seriously, though, vegetarian demons should totally be a thing.

Well something i liked about Vanilla WoW where there was a system with recipes that you could drop from mobs or after doing a story quest.. if we can have something like that, like a recipe can be found in that village where is a tradition to do that plate in that kind of way with those ingredients ecc.. i still remember the quest about the big pork in Lakeshire
