I'm sure everyone knows by now.. but how excited are you guys for this? I'm really hoping for D4.

Thinking it's either remastering of Diablo 2 or a mobile game.
But D4 would be nice.

Or maybe, just maybe. Blizzard will jump into the battle royal bandwagon and make a Diablo themed Battle Royal.

I certainly hope not lol. If D4 plays similar to Lost Ark I'll be hooked.

One is most likely a D3 for the Switch, because why would you not capitalize on that market right now
If they are doing a D3 for the Switch, I highly doubt they are doing D4. Now, I know we all want D4, but I think its more going to be a World of Diablo MMO.
I come to that conclusion because they hinted at the Switch thing and we know they have a new MMO in development. Just sorta makes sense.

Whatever it is, it's probably going to be bigger than what many people are expecting. They've been hiring people for an unnanounced Diablo project for many years now. As early as 2015 in fact. http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/141934-Blizzard-is-Hiring-for-a-New-Diablo-Project

I still play D3 quite often and I was pretty stoked to see it is still getting some love. Hour to dollar the best deal around. I have sank enough time to dissolve the cost to play that game well into the sub penny per hour. I am looking forward with great enthusiasm to see whats next.

Nothing is sure until they make an official announcement, all we can do is speculate.
Not sure myself about a new MMO from Blizzard. WoW is getting pretty old, but it's still pretty successful.
I think we might need to think more outside the box, for all we know they are working on a co-op monster hunter game like MHW, but in Diablo style (would be freaking awesome if it was btw). There are enough big monsters and bosses in the diablo lore to make that work, so who knows.

A while back they had a job postings for an unannounced Project where they needed Project Manager, that the proejct was going to be under the Diablo IP, and that the position required MMO experience.
There was a handful of other jobs for an unnanouced project with MMO experience.
Now, does that automatically mean a Diablo MMO? No, but signs seem to point to yes.
But does it mean they have an MMO in development? Yeah.
This wouldn't be the first MMO they've tried to develop. Remember Project Titan? They scraped it, but they were still working on it.

The MMO might be something like PoE, but I think it's most likely a mobile game. There's no way they release a proper MMO that competes with WoW.

I hope they have a new expansion with more story.
